Arctic Swimmers/Wings
Fantribe by Degal_Heartfang
Tribe Name: Arctic Swimmers (some call them 'Swimmers' or 'ArcticWings' but this is what they're really called.
Nice name, I like it.
Tribe Abilities: these dragons are know for their ability to shot a jet of Sulfuric Acid to trap intruders and large prey. They can breath cold artic waters, and has a thick layer of fat to keep them warm. They has keen sense of hearing, that helps them find prey on the ice. They mostly swim instead of fly, so they have smaller wings. Some Arctic Swimmers have a spike at the end of their tail that can inject sulfuric acid into the enemy bloodstream, killing them instantly, rare though.
*looks up 'Sulfuric Acid'* Oh. Okay, this makes some sort of sense? 8'll let it pass since the Arctic Swimmers are water dragons and H2SO(Sulfuric Acid's chemical compound) is similar to H2O(Water's chemical compound). I found during my research that Sulfur(S in H2SO) is the fifth most common element on Earth, and the tenth most common in the universe. Taking this into account, it makes some sort of sense that they could have adapted through a mutation to have Sulfur and H2O in their systems, and they somehow combined to form H2SO.
But then again I'm probably reading to much into it I'm sorry. XD
Queen: Queen Hielo, a large silvery grey dragoness with a spike on her tail. Has slightly larger wings then most Arctic Swimmers, has deep green eyes.
Oooooh very pretty.
JMA: They live fair up north, near the poles with many other Arctic like species of dragons, like the Glacier Crawler, and the Ridge Dwellers. Haven't come up with a name for the continent yet.
Both the continents in the Wings of Fire series are the Genus' of bugs. Pantala - Dragonfly, and Pyrrhia - Moth. I hope this helps you come up with a continent name! :)
Appearance: Arctic Swimmers are usually dark on to and lighter on the bottom, the top is usually blues, greys, or maybe even purple, pale of course. The bottom of them are silvery white or just white, occasionally pale blue. Only royalty can have spikes on their tail, but because of this, they have much weaker sulfuric acid gland production. They has spikes on the back of their forearms for fights, so if they elbow someone they get stabbed. Usually very thick/fat thanks to blubber to keep them warm. Eyes colors varies from dragon to dragon.
Okay, so, I thought the tail spikes were an ability? Like, an inborn thing? Though this could have been due to animus enchantments, like with the albinism in the FeatherWings. I also might be misunderstanding this, and it could be a clothing item. I've been confused before though.
Habitat: Near the bottom of the unnamed continent, in a huge sea with a few floating ice chucks for seals to rest on. Most Arctic Swimmers see Seals as pets instead of food, from the mammal's silly behavior, they find it amusing. Under a huge iceberg that is connected to the mainland thanks to their acid, rests the palace. It's huge and is made from polished quartz with a few crystal, and or, sapphires scattered everywhere.
The palace sounds beautiful! And I don't think they'd get along too well with IceWings, saying that IceWings eat seals. Silly IceWings.
Other: Names are usually deals with artic animals, water related things, and conditions. (Ex. Blizzard, Akull, or Whale)
Cool
They're still a WIP
Makes sense.
Alright, so... 9/10
Why?
—lack of reasoning behind Sulfuric acid thing. I mean, it just seems kinda like a stretch. (-.5)
—Tail spike thing (-.5)
Other than that, well done Degal!
