The clan cats led the pup back to camp as Crowfeather looked to Sedgewhisker, she was carrying Weaselkit as she stayed close to the pup and her other kit.

Crowfeather growled to himself, He thought letting the pup stay on WindClan territory would be a mouse-brain idea. Dogs don't fit among cats, why would this one?

They had made back into camp as the pup glanced around, ears flat. It was surely frightened by all the cats who had immediately gone defensive, ready to scare the pup away. Onestar was among them as he had walked forward.

"What is the meaning of this?" Onestar eyed the pup. Sedgewhisker spoke up as she set Weaselkit down.

"This pup saved my kits." She said boldly. Onestar twitched his nose.

"Dogs don't belong with cats." He started to growl, moving to scare the pup off. But the light brown tabby did not back down. She moved to protect the pup.

"This pup means no harm Onestar, let me care for it."

The WindClan leader snarled at Sedgewhisker as the female prepared to defend herself. The pup shrunk back, scared of the surrounding cats.

"This hound will not fit in the camp when it grows, I doubt it'll ever understand. We are not letting a golden pup stay."

"Let me teach it." Sedgewhisker kept pushing, a mottled gray tom had walked toward Onestar, mumbling something in his ears.

Onestar looked at the pup, and looked back. "Keep an eye on him while I share tongues with Krestelflight." He muttered to Harespring before turning away.

A few moments later Onestar had returned glaring at the pup for a moment and turning to Sedgewhisker.

"You have one moon to teach this pup." He growled before turning away. "If he doesn't show improvement then he doesn't stay...."

Weaselkit and Fennelkit cheered and ran around the Pup excitedly. The pup looked down at the kits and jumped around to, playing along. Sedgewhisker had smiled at this, the pup meant not harm, and she could see that.

"Golden...." she muttered aloud thinking of a name for the pup. "For now he'll be Goldenpup." Looking at his shining golden pelt.

A few days had passed and Goldenpup was already making progress. He didn't fully understand what Sedgewhisker was trying to teach him, but he understood when he had to do something.

As the days went on, Goldenpup started more and more to understand the clan cat life. He started to understand how they talked, and as Onestar watched on he was confused.

Krestelflight had talked to him about a dream he had. A danger was coming, was this pup the danger? Or would it come to help their clan? As the next moon had come, Goldenpup could talk to the kits. He would still play around, what do you expect a pup to do?

"Got you Fennelkit!" Goldenpup gently pushed him with his paw. The kits laughed and chased after the pup when he dashed away. The two tacked him, although he was twice their size, he pretended to tumble over, defeated.

"Ahh~ The great warriors of WindcClan have taken me!" Goldenpup didn't feel different from any of the other nursery kits. He never notice any of the disgusted looks of the others. All he believed was that he was going to be the best warrior.

He was going to hunt a lot for his clan, and bring back the best and biggest prey. He never realized how large he was compared to the other kits, if he did he didn't seemed to care.

Krestelflight had walked up beside Onestar as he watched Goldenpup. "I understand how you may feel about this, but I believe StarClan has set a path for this pup."

Onestar looked to his medicine cat. "Let's hope StarClan doesn't send us to our fall then." He muttered before turning away. Retreating back into his den.

Krestelflight looked to the pup who was called by Sedgewhisker. She had called the kits back to the den and sent Goldenpup to his own larger nest. The mottled tom looked to the dusk filled sky and prayed that StarClan was right about this one and hoped to get safely through the dangers ahead.
