Starkit squealed as Stormkit tackled her, and they rolled across the clearing play fighting. Silverkit sat with Dapplefur as she sat watching us, coughing loudly. Stormkit squeaked as Starkit nipped the tip of his tail, careful not to draw blood. "You fox- hearted MoorClan cat!" Starkit growled, tustling with her brother.

Stormkit pinned his sister down with a triumphant yowl. "Haha, I beat you evil fox!" He growled. He squeaked in suprise as Starkit pushed him off. "Father!" Stormkit suddenly squealed, jumping away from Starkit and to their father, Tanglefur.

Tanglefur dropped a large rabbit on the fresh kill pile and purred as he saw his kits. "Hiya guys!" He purred, licking Stormkit and Starkit on the head. He squeezed between us and trotted towards Dapplefur and Silverkit. Silverkit nuzzled him and he purred, then Tanglefur turned to Dapplefur.

Their mother broke into a fit of coughing. Their father murmured something and Dapplefur picked up Silverkit and padded towards the medicine den. Stormkit pranced around their father. "Teach us a battle move dad!" He squeaked.

The two kits squealed as Tanglefur darted forward, swiping his paw at a tree in the clearing, then leapt back. He looked down at the kits. "That's what you do when a badger is attacking. Dart forward, slash with your paw, and bounce back before it attacks." He ordered.

Stormkit and Starkit practiced it, then lunged at their father. "It's a badger!" Starkit squealed, pawing him and jumping back. The kits and father tustled for a while. Starkit purred loudly. Her family was the best!
