Leafstar gapped at the frosty white she-cat. Frost blinked up at her with milky ,light blue eyes. They looked so bright they almost matched her fur color. She had a broad flat muzzle and long fluffy fur. Her short tail was lying in a small pool of blood that was oozing from a wound on her leg. She was about Leafstar's age but the size of a young warrior. Softsong immediately dived to her herb stock to fetch the herbs she needed. "I-im Leafstar. And these are my clanma-" Leafstar started."oh I know all about the clans..." Frost interrupted her. "I know there is three clans among the forest. Leafclan,Stoneclan,and Darkclan." Frost's gaze hardened . "I also know of the prophecy." Frost added with a whisper. Frost's words struck Leafstar like a bolt of Lightning. Her yellow gaze danced around the medicine den wondering if anycat else herd her. "We need to talk. I'll be here at dawn, right now we all need to rest,including you." She whispered to Frost. Softsong returned with cobwebs and marigold. Leafstar saw Softsong stifle a yawn. "As soon as your done tending to frost you need to sleep." Leafstar meowed. Softsong gave Leafstar a hesitant glance before nodding. Leafstar shouldered the crowd of cats out of the way. The cats follow Leafstar to High branch and sat down expecting a meeting. Leafstar leaped onto High branch and cast her gaze upon the impatient cats. A murmer was passing through the crowd of cats. "Silence!" Leafstar yowled. All the cats hushed and fixed their attention on Leafstar. "No cat worry about Frost tonight. We've all had a long day and we all need rest. The camp can be left ungarded if you two can't manage."She turned her head to were Sandwing and Gatorfang. "We can manage Leafstar." Sandwing nodded. Gatorfang gave sandwing a reluctant glance before nodding in approval. "Now get some rest"she flicked her ears and lumbered to the nursury sleepily. Leafstar crouched in her mossy nest looked over at her kits,who were sleeping with Rosethorn and her kits. her eyes started to get heavy and she soon drifted off to sleep.

Leafstar blinked open her eyes to she a blurry white shape standing in front of her. It was a cat with no eyes! She focused her eyes and realized the cat had eyes,just very bright ones! Frost! She stiffened. Am I still asleep? Leafstar wondered. "There's no need to talk at dawn when we can talk in private here. In your dream." Frost mewed. "But how did you..." Leafstar started to wonder. "I have the ability to enter cat's dreams. Shadowstar gave me that ability along with the prophecy. I already know who the cats are, its obvious. Me, you, Darkstar and Stonestar." Frost snorted. Leafstar flicked her tail in disbelief. "I am the fourth cat don't you see? They sent me to be the fourth clan. Leaf is Leafclan, Dark is-" frost growled."I get it!" Leafstar hissed. The two cats lashed their tails and stared at each other when the bushes rumbled. A black shecat stalked out of the bushes, the same one that told Leafstar about the prophecy."don't worry about the prophecy yet. We will warn you when the time draws near. Until the prophecy passes I will give each leader the ability to walk in another cat's dreams. But use them only for important missions. Do not misuse your power." Leafstar's dream faded away and she woke up with her kits poking at her side. "Wake up mama!" Sunkit mewed."hush kits your mother is tired from her journey." Rosethorn whispered nudging the kits away from Leafstar." Good morning Rosethorn." Leafstar yawned sleepily. Rosethorn turned to look at Leafstar." Good morning Leafstar! I hope sunkit didn't wake you, he wanted you to see the butterfly he caught." Rosethorn angled her ears towards a small orange and black butterfly, with a torn wing, lying on the ground.
Leafstar looked at the small kit who was looking up at her with blue eyes. A golden swirl formed around his pupils announcing his new eye color. The ferns covered the the den and made the dappled sunlight beam on sunkit's orange tabby and white fur. "You caught that all by your self?" Leafstar mewed. He shook his head, pride beamed throughout his small body. "Impressive! You'll make a fine warrior of Leafclan one day." Leafstar complimented her kit."come on sunkit let's go!" Cloudkit squealed as she stumbled out of the nursery followed by her brothers. Oceankit and Islandkit were already  playing moss-ball in the camp clearing. It's time for them to be apprenticed... Leafstar thought. The fern rustled as the dawn patrol headed for the entrance tunnel. Palmstripe, sandwing , sprucepaw and spicepaw emerged from the entrance and headed for the fresh-kill pile. Sandwing dropped a mouse in the pile and headed for the leader's den. Maybe I should wait until sun-high. Leafstar sighed and padded towards the medicine den. Frost was awake and grooming her fur while softsong was collapsed asleep beside her cobwebs still hung in her jaw. A marigold poultice was covering Frost's injured foot. Frost seemed to be in good condition so she turned to find Nightwhisper. The brambles clawed at her fur as she pushed her way through the small warriors' den entrance. Night whisper was grooming his fur and jumped when he heard Leafstar. "Nightwhisper. Would you like to be a mentor of one of Rosethorn's kits?" Leafstar asked him. He stood shocked for a heartbeat before fluffing up with pride. His brown eyes lit up with delight. "Of course! I ... I mean... Yeah sure if you want me too Leafstar. " Nightwhisper tried to hide his excitement but his eyes betrayed him. Leafstar left Nightwhisper to daydream about being a mentor while she went to find Palmstripe.  Palmstripe had just recently mentored Nightwhisper, who had been Nightpaw at the time. Palmstripe was sharing tongues with the young apprentice, Spicepaw. Poisonpaw was sitting near the apprentice den entrance,watching the camp with his steady, purple eyes. Leafstar shivered as the chill of leaf-fall scorched her pelt. Palmstripe purred and turned to Leafstar. "How would you feel about having another apprentice or two?" Leafstar asked Palmstripe with a flick of her ginger tail. "Sure i can Leafstar!" Palmstripe flashed her distracted eyes at Leafstar. "Are you okay Palmstripe? You look a little dazed." Leafstar meowed concerned for her kin."I told you i'm alright." Palmstripe hissed. "let's go check on frost. Maybe she'll join our clan?" Palmstripe mewed changing the subject."She will not join our clan!" Leafstar yowled a bit too loud. The cats turned to look at Leafstar. a few crowded around to see what was going on. Softsong appeared at the entrance of the medicine cat den. Leafstar gulped anware what to say. Leafstar turned away and leaped onto high-branch.  "Cats of Leafclan gather at High-branch!" Leafstar's voice rang out though the camp. Sandwing stumbled out of the den and sat near Gatorfang and Nightwhisper. "four kits are ready to become apprentices." Leafstar yowled. Rosethorn's kits squeaked with excitement. Cuddlekit lead the rest of her kin through the small crowd of cats. the kits sat gazing up at Leafstar. Whitekit  ducked away from her mothers licks. Leafstar looked up to see Softsong with Leafstar's kits. "Oceankit and islandkit has reached the age of six moons,along with their denmates," Leafstar's gaze flickered to Palmstripe.", and they are ready to become apprentices. Oceankit and Islandkit, from this day on,until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Oceanpaw and Islandpaw." Leafstar meowed." your mentor shall be Palmstripe. She was a great mentor with Nightwhisper and i trust that she'll teach you with the same warrior spirit."Leafstar nodded to Palmstripe and her two new apprentices. "Cuddlekit and Whitekit, from now on your names shall be Cuddlepaw and Whitepaw. Cuddlepaw your mentor shall be Sandwing. Whitepaw your mentor shall be... Nightwhisper."Leafstar finished as a gasp rose from Nightwhisper. The young warrior touched noses with Whitepaw. Palmstripe and sandwing touched noses with their apprentices also. "both Sandwing and Nightwhisper are strong,trusted warriors of this clan. I expect them to be Excellent mentors." Leafstar finished her speech and leaped down from high-branch. "Oceanpaw, Islandpaw,Cuddlepaw, Whitepaw!" the clan cheered for the newest apprentices. The four apprentices stood in the clearing looking up proudly at their mentors. sandwing towered over Cuddlepaw with a spark of happiness in his eyes. The clan scattered Quickly while Rosethorn sat in the middle of the Camp unsure what to do. Gatorfang  padded up to her and lead her to the warriors' den with his tail over her shoulders. The clan finally was a real clan. Apprentices,kits warriors and a Medicine cat.
