ok so unpopular opinion time. dovewing is ok. i have very mixed feelings towards her. Dovewing does have Mary sue energy, and has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more good traits then bad, but they do exist. her appearance isn't cliche at all, if you ask me, Firestar has a cliche pelt. Dovewing just has a fluffy grey and white pelt. but dovewing has two toms in love with her, a super power, and is the clans favorite. I don't ship dovewing with anybody, not Bumblestripe the "nice guy" (hes gonna get his own chapter) or Tigerheart the Tigerstar clone. I have a headcanon that dovewings powers only exist for ivypool to go to the dark forest (story wise) i would have liked it if hollyleaf was in the prophecy instead of the erins just being uncreative and giving her no power. i would prefer ivypool too. Dovewing has nearly no character development. at all. she frustrates me. but, the fandom is constantly screaming in her face about it. Dovewing may be nearly perfect but, sometimes she is interesting, fun, and just causes an interesting dynamic. her relationship with ivypool is fascinating, and as somebody with a sister, the most realistic relationship in warrior cats. I actually relate a lot more to Dovewing in my relationship with my sister. compared to lionblaze and jayfeather, her power is rather useless. they even went so far for her not to do much in the great battle, instead of making her the star of the show. i don't think that dovewing was "toying with bumblestripes heart" Bumblestripe is way older then her! all he does is be sort of forceful with her, if anything we should have more hate towards him, Dovewing is being pressured by her peers to become mates with an older person who she has no romantic feelings towards at all, and is visibly unhappy when she was with him. it's a onesided relationship, in which Dovewing is stuck in, and were all just taking Bumblestripes side. its victim blaming, and im tired of it.

Edit: In real life, I would not like dovewing, but from a character standpoint, she is really cool.
