"Alright follow us to the training area" meowed Dawnpaw's mentor. After a while of walking through the green forest they arrived at the river that separates waterclan, and lightningclan, than they arrived at the waterfall where a sandy area was. "Alright you've now seen all of the territories, so now it's time to practice hunting" meowed Rosetail. Dawnpaw crouched down following in her instructions, she walked forward slowly.

"Great job Dawnpaw" a voice said behind her. She looked behind her to see Brambleheart standing behind her watching how well she did. Her sisters came padding towards her with excitement in their eyes. "We get to try hunting" Honeypaw said sounding a bit excited. "Yes, but be sure to remember everything we told you" Foxfur said as she walked up to them.

After hearing what their mentors had to say they ran out in the forest. Dawnpaw ran off to the middle of the forest where the prey is richest, as her father told her. She stopped as she caught the scent of a mouse she crouched down and walked forward slowly, and quietly. After she got a tail length away from it she leaped on top of it, and killed it easily.

        Dawnpaw walked back proudly caring her mouse with her tail held up high. Her mentor walked up to her and congratulated her for her catch. Soon later her sisters came back with no prey, but Honeypaw said she was very close to catching a squirrel. They started to walk back to camp as the sun started to set.

On her way from walking back she caught a scent of rabbit she dropped her prey, and half buried it, before walked off to fin the rabbit. She soon came across it, it was rare to find rabbits in the forest, but it usually meant a Breezeclan cat chased into their territory. She crouched down and stalked she can closer, and closer she was ready to spring, but a twig cracked beneath her paw the rabbit spray and started to run she chased after it she was so close to it she leaped and killed it.

She walked back to the training area with the rabbit, and the mouse she caught. Once she arrived she saw her sisters had caught no prey at all. Suddenly Dawnpaw felt bad she didn't want to show off. Foxfur saw Dawnpaw "well done my apprentice" she purred looking happy at what I caught. I walked up to them, and dropped my prey I caught "what's next" she asked excited, and ready to,learn something. "We have to get back to the clan it's getting late" Rosetail meowed.
