The sun was beginning to rise and only the dawn patrol was awake, all but one. Oceanheart. "Where is she? She's never been late for the dawn patrol." meowed Cinderheart.

"What if she got sick over night?" asked Mousewhisker, "She did have a slight fever at moon high." Cinderheart, Dovewing, and Lionblaze looked at Mousewhisker, confused. Mousewhisker shrunk down in embarrassment.

"My nest is next to hers." he meowed. Then, they saw movement in the Warrior Den entrance, and Oceanheart emerged, looking exhausted. The patrol stared at her in round eyes. Maybe Mousewhisker was right about her getting sick over night. Dovewing padded over to her friend, "Oceanheart? Are you ok, you don't look so good." Oceanheart looked at Dovewing, "Yes, I'm fine just a little drowsy."

Dovewing wasn't convinced, "Well, maybe, you should go see Jayfeather before we leave." Oceanheart want to protest, though she does feel a little pain in her belly, but she padded to the medicine den anyway. More cats were awake and started their duties. Oceanheart poked her head into the den, to see Jayfeather sorting out his herbs. He turned his head.

"What do you need, Oceanheart?" he mewed. Oceanheart explained to him about the pains in her abdomen and how Dovewing wanted her to see him, before she left for patrol. He nodded and gave Oceanheart a quick check up and concluded.

"Oceanheart, you're expecting kits." Oceanheart's eyes stretched wide with surprise. She was going to have kits! She prodded her belly, with a paw, and felt a tiny kick. She smiled at the feeling and couldn't wait until they're born. Then she wondered, who's the father? Firestar! No doubt these are Firestar's kits. Their secret will be revealed! She turned to Jayfeather.

"How long until I have to move into the nursery?" she asked.

"Now, you have been pregnant for a couple weeks and it would be hard for you to continue with your warrior duties." he replied, "Do you know who the father is?" Oceanheart didn't want to tell him, but she had to tell someone!

"The father is-is Firestar." She waited for Jayfeather to scold at her, but he remained calm. He sighed, "Well, he is one lucky cat. He'll be so proud." Jayfeather commented, "You better tell him." Oceanheart nodded and left the den, and started running to Firestar's den.

"Firestar!" She yowled, "I have wonderful news!" Firestar, who was already awake, looked at her and smiled, "What is it?" He asked.

"I'm expecting kits!"
