Chapter 4
A sharp pain went through a white-she cat's side. She yowled as it climbed from her belly to her cheek. The pain grew to a burning feeling and she started coughing, falling to the ground. Her black-circled eyes burned like a blazing fire.
Fire! There was a fire in the camp! She couldn't see very well in the gray clouds as it stung her eyes, making her tear up. The only solid thing she could see was a dark outline of a cat standing on a raised rock. A cat whose pelt was as bright as the flames surrounding her.
The white she-cat tried to call to the cat standing on the rock, but the smoke entered her mouth, causing her to choke on it, gasping for air. Only then did she realize who the cat was. No, it couldn't be...Redfur!
The last thing she saw was her best friend standing above her, staring at her as the flames engulfed her.

"What have I done?" Redfur exclaimed aloud as she saw flames dancing around Shadoweyes. The ginger she-cat didn't remember sending out flames on the last living best friend she had. Redfur flicked her blazing tail downwards, extinguishing the flames. She ran over to Shadoweyes's body, jumping down the rock she was standing on.
When she reached Shadoweyes, it was too late. The last best friend she had in this world had died. Redfur thought of Coldspirit, but shook her head in denial. Coldspirit wasn't as close to her as Shadoweyes or Bluepelt.
Suddenly, she saw a shadow fall over her view of Shadoweyes on the ground. Redfur glanced up and saw a dark ball hovering over Shadoweyes. The dark shape glided to the ground in front of Redfur and formed into a cat. Redfur's heart stopped.
"You can't be alive! You were dead!" she yowled to the cat.
