Hey guys. Sorry this took so long. I've been dealing with.. stuff.. and I haven't had time to update until now. My humblest and most sincere apologies. -S

****'s POV
I sat in the tree, sheathing and unsheathing my claws in indecision. If I just let go, maybe I'd die and no one would have to deal with me anymore. After all, I'm just a burden. I sighed and began counting. Alright ****, you can do this. Just count to ten and you need to be out of the tree. Ten became twenty, which became thirty. I eventually just gave up and retracted my claws from the branch and let myself fall back. My jaws gaped in a noiseless yowl. My eyes were squeezed shut and it felt as if I was falling for ages. I stretched a paw out in the direction of where the ground would be. Immediately, my paw made contact with the ground and a sickly snapping sound could be heard. I screeched in pain and anguish, even though I knew no one could hear me. Why didn't I die!! (It's kinda obvious who this is, so what's the point of me even trying to keep it a secret?)

******'s POV
I sat below a tree, sharpening my claws on a rock I found. Come on, ******, all you've got to do is claw your own throat out. I shouldn't be too painful, and you'll certainly die. As I brought a paw to my throat, I unsheathed my claws and prepared to sink them into my throat. Suddenly, I heard a loud thump nearby and a screech. I tensed and prepared to fight anyone who tried to stop me. As I walked in the direction of the screech, I saw a handsome ginger tom laying on the forest floor with one of his front paws twisted at a weird angle. Oh my... But he isn't my problem. I tried turning away, but I just couldn't bring myself to. The things I do... I carefully padded towards him. He opened one eye, which was sky blue. He groaned and tried to get up, only to fall back on his side.

I went next to him and ever so carefully, put him on my back. Lifting one of my front paws, I let the tom's injured one lay on it. Slowly, I made my way through the forest on three paws. Where am I going to get help? Just then, a white and brown tom burst through the bushes. He immediately straightened up and glanced at me then the tom on my back. He opened his jaws to speak, but I cut him off. "He needs help. I think he broke his paw or something from falling out of the tree I was near." I explained. He slowly nodded. Then he turned and clawed some moss off a nearby tree. He placed it on the ground and fluffed it out.

     "Put him down carefully and let his paw rest on the moss." He said, turning away. "I'll be back, don't go anywhere." I nodded and with that, he ran back into the trees. I did as the tom said and placed his paw on the moss. He relaxed and opened his eyes. When he saw me, his eyes widened and he looked almost afraid. I do tend to have that effect on people... 

"I-I'm so s-sorry, sir. Y-you d-didn't have to do t-this." He stuttered. It's adorable. Wait, what?

"It's quite alright. What's your name by the way?"

     John's POV

Why am I helping a cat I just met? Because I felt bad. I burst back into camp. I ignore all the cats looking in my direction except for Peggy. "Peggy! I need you to bring the materials to help a cat with a broken paw! There's no time to explain, just follow me!" I told her urgently. She nodded and swiftly went to her herb store. After bringing a leaf wrapped with herbs, she pelted after me through the forest. After a few more minutes of full on sprinting, we came to where I had left the cats. I nodded towards the ginger one and she went over to him, tending to his paw. "So what's your name?" I asked the dark gray tom who brought the other cat.

"My name's Connor, that's Evan." He said, flicking his tail in the direction of the ginger tom. Peggy was helping Evan to stand.

"Can you balance on three paws?" Peggy asked. Evan nodded. He padded around, paw in the air.

"Thanks." He said.

"I'm Peggy and this is John." Peggy introduced. Evan gave me a grateful look as he nodded.
