"Come on, hurry!" A reddish she-cat hissed. The golden tom hurried towards her. "We have to hurry before he notices!" The golden tom caught up with the she-cat. "We must go far." The golden tom suggested. The red she-cat came by his side. "This is all your fault. He wouldn't be taking over if you hadn't become mates with you know who!" The golden tom snarled. The red she-cat blinked. "We must not say his name ever again, we have both betrayed him." The tom looked at his paws. "Let's rest here." The tom insisted. They both sat down and the reddish cat licked her pelt. "If he found out we have abandoned him he would be furious." The tom meowed. The she-cat let out a mrrow of amusement. "He would kill us the moment he finds us." She laughed. "Pineflame, Flamestar is lucky to have you as a mate. I've just figured out why." The golden tom got closer to Pineflame. "I know what you're thinking and it will never happen. I already have a mate;Thornrunner. And that's the last thing I need." Pineflame got up and walked away from him. "I'm such a mouse-brain, this has already happened to me." He muttered. "Where are Soottail and Twigwhisker?" Pineflame hissed. "Right here! Next time don't leave us behind." A gray she-cat came over. "Who are these other two, Soottail?" Thornrunner asked. "These are Soottail's kits, Raincloud and Featherpelt." Twigwhisker gazed at Soottail. The gray she-cat hung her head low. "Their father, Voleclaw was killed by Lightningstar. Lightningstar made them warriors early because they survived the journey. When we moved to ShadowClan they were just kits." Soottail cuddled her kits in with her tail. "Well, they look old enough to be apprentices. Pineflame, should we make them apprentices?" Thornrunner turned his head to Pineflame. She nodded. "But who's going to mentor them?" Soottail meowed. Her kits whimpered. "Twigwhisker can mentor Rainpaw and I can mentor Featherpaw, if that's okay with you." Thornrunner meowed. Soottail nodded. "We'll get there soon, I know it."
