Riotpaw is a very tall and slightly bulky tom cat. The male had a dusted, light orange pelt that is littered with thick, flame colored stripes in a mackerel pattern. The tom has accents of white and cream that run throughout his pelt. His fur is fluffy and flushed with fur, with a long, plume-like tail. He has very dark amber colored eyes, and medium-sized paws.

Riotflame is a determined tom cat that is rather rude and snarky up front. He isn't afraid to call out weaker cats and your own bluff, and he can be rather aggressive at times. He has absolutely no fear, which is rather foolish for a cat. But, deep down he can be sweet to the right cat, tom or she-cat, and he is kind and a bit shy when he finds himself liking a cat.

Riotpaw was born to Sunstep and Petitefoot, with his littermate Honeypaw. Due to his brash and arrogant nature, along with his bulky body type, many cats believed that Riotpaw would grow into a strong warrior. But it came as a complete shock when he announced in the middle of his apprentice ceremony that he would rather be a medicine cat. He just, didn't seem like the type. But, he proved to be very sharp and a quick learner with a healthy intelligence. Though he is rude and rough around the edges with his clanmates, his mentor Cypressneedle has no doubt that he will be a medicine cat that is an asset to his clan. 
What is unknown is that he is actually a homosexual tom cat, who keeps his liking to toms mostly hidden.
