Brokenwish's P.O.V

It was moonhigh,and all cats going to the Gathering were waiting at the entrance. Lionpaw and Brokenwish sat side by side and from nearby,Brokenwish saw Poppypaw,who was next to Hawkpath,smiling at them. Lionpaw's golden fur was fluffed up from the cold of the night air,and he scooted closer to Brokenwish so that their fur was brushing against eachother.

"Freezing,isn't it?" Lionpaw commented,his breath making clouds in the chilly air as he spoke. "Just a little." Brokenwish purred jokingly. Lionpaw nudged Brokenwish and pointed with his tail toward Echomist. Eagletalon was beside her,and glaring at them menacingly. Brokenwish noticed her sister was growing further apart from her every day,and growing closer to the horrible excuse for a cat.

Mudstar stood up,and with Thunderstorm close behind him,they set off through the willow tunnel. The clan weaved through the trees and through their territory onto Swiftclan land. This was the only time they were allowed to be on the land though,as it was the only route for both Brookclan and Willowclan to get to the Gatheringplace.

Brokenwish spotted Brookclan treking a ways behind them,but there was no sign of Swiftclan. She thought they were probably already there.

When Mudstar saw the Gatheringplace up ahead,the cats broke into a run,tails streaming behind them. They roke through the ring of ferns surrounding the Gathering Hollow and made their way down to the waiting cats. "About time.." Rabbitstar,the Swiftclan leader,mewed. Thornstar,Ghostclan leader,nodded his agreement.

"Now we just need to wait until Brookclan arrives." Rabbitstar said. "They were behind us,they should be here soon." Mudstar offered. "Good." Thornstar replied gruffly. "I'm freezing." Rabbitstar rolled her eyes but said nothing.

Brookclan soon came,the clan's leader Hickorystar leaping up to join the other leaders on the rock. "Sorry we're late." He mewed,setting down and nodding at Mudstar to begin.

"The prey is running well,and Brackenrose had her first litter,and Sweetkit, Daisykit,and Fallenkit can't seem to stay out from under our paws." He said as collective purring rumbled from the clans. He went on. "We also have new warriors. We welcome Echomist,Sparrowstep,and Brokenish as full members of our clan." "Brokenwish! Sparrowstep! Echomist!" The cats cheered,but Brokenwish noted only Brookclan and Wildclan were cheering. "That is all." Mudstar said,waving his tail at Thornstar as he sat down.

Thornstar stood. "Prey-stealers!" He yowled at Brookclan. The cats' fur bristled indigantly. "How dare you call us prey stealers!" One cat screeched to yowls of agreement from his clanmates. Clouds drifted over the moon. "Thornstar..." Rabbitstar warned. "You can't challenge Brookclan like this without reason." "Oh,I have reason.." Thornstar growled. "My warriors could smell freshly dead rat scent,along with the smell of Brookclan." This was met with more yowls of indigance and protest. "We don't eat rats." Hickorystar growled. "And my warriors did not steal prey." He added,hackles rising slightly. "The scent may have drifted over the border.." Mudstar said. "You do live near them.." Rabbitstar told the angered Ghostclan leader.

The clouds stayed,turning darker,it started to pour rain. "WildClan,let's go!" Mudstar said,leaping down while Rabbitstar and Hickorystar followed him.They raced along the moor,hurrying to camp,drenched to the bone with rain.Lionpaw was shivering,and without thinking,Brokenwish pressed her soaked pelt against his. Not much was said,everyone retreating to their dens and falling asleep.
