A nice, peaceful, cool breeze blew as it danced across the soft green grass and sparkling water. In the reflection of the water, the shining stars were bright as they covered the dark, black curtain in the sky. The tress swayed with the wind as it began to whistle while it blew through the leaves and branches.

In between a group of trees were a large group of dozens of starry shaped figures, who were all standing in a circle around a light brown she-cat with white spots and green eyes. Next to the she-cat was a light brown and white she-cat with orange eyes.

They both looked around at the starry figures that were made out to be cats. The light brown and white she-cat looked towards the other she-cat as she laughed a little "Are you nervous?"

The other she-cat didn't make eye contact with her as she starred at the starry cats as she responded quietly "Who wouldn't be? Receiving nine lives is not like a hunting assessment."

"That's true...but Graceleap, this is Starclan we're talking about. You have nothing to fear." The she-cat reassured as more Starclan cats began to appear around them.

"I know you're right, Dawnmist." Graceleap responded warmly as she rested her tail on her Medicine Cat's back hopefully.

She smiled in reply as she dipped her head and backed away as nine Starclan cats stepped forward to face Graceleap. The first cat who was on the far left stepped closer as it was a tom-cat approaching her.

"Greetings Graceleap. I am Stormwind, I was deputy of Brightclan before you were born." He said calmly as they both dipped their heads in respect towards each other.

He touched his nose to her head as he spoke softly "With this life, I give you strength. Use it to push through all the rough times you will go through in life, as they may try to bring you down."

He took a step back as a smaller she-cat next to him stepped forward. Graceleap looked down at her a little confused. She looks like she's only an apprentice! She smiled happily as she spoke "Hi Graceleap! My name is Lakepaw! I was an apprentice many moons before you were born!"

Graceleap smiled in reply to her as she dipped her head "It's nice to meet you Lakepaw."

Lakepaw stretched her neck up higher as she touched Graceleap's head. "With this life, I give you wisdom. Use it to make huge decisions without negative thoughts, even if cats think otherwise." She paused before saddening "I died trying to fight off a fox...but at least I saved Shimmerstone's life!"

Then a female voice purred as Lakepaw stepped back "I still ended up dying moons later anyways. Still, that was very brave of you, Lakepaw."

Graceleap looked up to see Shimmerstone approaching her with a calm tone in her voice "With this life I give you patience. There will be cats who will not do their part, but with time and patience, your clan will thrive."

Graceleap dipped her head back in reply as more and more cats came up to give her, her nine lives:

Lilypad gave her a life for optimism.

Breezetail gave her a life of courage.

Coalstep gave her a life of knowledge

Quailwing gave her a life for kindness

Smokerunner gave her a life for mentoring

Finally, the first leader of Brightclan stepped forward as Graceleap immediately recognised the she-Cat as many cats told stories of her. "Greetings Graceleap, I can tell in your eyes you already know who I am."

She nodded in response as she respectfully replied "You're Brightstar, the founder of Brightclan." Her heart was racing as she starred at the she-cat. I can't believe I'm talking to her!

Brightstar commented "You're quite young to be becoming leader. You're only fifteen moons if I'm correct?"

Graceleap nodded in amazement on how she knew her age. She and received an apprentice only one moon after she became a warrior due to the lack of warriors at the time.

"With this youth you will have more energy than most leaders, but that also means you yourself lack something." Brightstar explained as she left Graceleap confused at her words.

She stepped up to Graceleap as she touched her head with her nose "With this life I give you experience. Use your experiences to help you overcome challenges."

When she stepped back, Graceleap felt a strange energy surge through her body as she suddenly felt like she had so much more life left. Do I have all my nine lives now?!

"Lead your clan well, Gracestar." Brightstar smiled as all the Starclan cats began chanting her name.

"Gracestar!" "Gracestar!" "Gracestar!"

Then she spotted Dawnmist approaching her as all the Starclan cats began to fade away, saying their goodbyes.

"Congratulations Gracestar." Dawnmist meowed warmly as she dipped her head respectfully towards her new leader. When she raised her head again she asked "Are you ready to go back?"

For a moment, Gracestar hesitated as she looked around at Starclan and took in what the air and scents are like. "Just give me one moment."

The Medicine Cat dipped her head as she slowly began to vanish "When you wake up, I will be at the Moonpool exit waiting for you."

Gracestar nodded as she watched her Medicine Cat vanish and wake up from the dream. Silently she began looking around at the beautiful heaven where their ancestors lived. "It's so beautiful here."

"Indeed it is." Brightstar meowed as she paced up towards Gracestar's side and sat down next to her, looking up at the stars.

Even though now she was a leader, she couldn't help but feel so small besides Brightstar. She was sitting right next to the clan founder, a cat so many elders told stories and legends about. The story about her stopping a flood that almost destroyed the clans.

"Is it true you stopped the flood?" Gracestar blurted out as she slapped herself with her tail awkwardly. Why did I say that?

Brightstar actually chuckled a little as she nodded "Yes...that legend isn't actually a lie. Back when Miststar, Hillstar, Brookstar, and Sandstar were leader, there was a terrible flood that was coming. The dams the beavers had built had collapsed and I went to go re-build it."

She listened to her story amazed and also embarrassed that the first thing she actually said to the Brightclan founder was about a story. "That's so amazing!" Gracestar exclaimed happily.

Brightstar smiled in reply before going serious "Gracestar there's something you should know."

She tilted her head confused as she flicked her tail "What is it?"

Before Brightstar could explain, she leaned closer and asked anxious "Is it a prophecy?"

"It's more like a warning." The Brightclan founder began to caution. The new Brightclan leader when quiet as she grew frustrated. Why not a prophecy? It would be a lot more exciting!

"Gracestar just hear me out ok?" Brightstar asked strictly as she narrowed her eyes. She took a deep breath and then sighed as she pointed her tail towards a lake not too far away.

Gracestar looked towards her curious as she began to walk towards the lake, and looked down into the water. For a few heartbeats she only saw her reflection, but then the water began to darken.

There was a moon shining brightly in the sky with the sun sitting right next to it. Confused, she looked up at the sky and didn't see where the reflection could possibly come from. She hesitantly looked back down as she saw the moon began to set.

Once the moon set, the sun also began to set. No moon nor sun in the sky? It makes no sense! That's when the sky went bright again when the sun returned. Then the vision vanished as all that was left was her own reflection.

She looked back towards where Brightstar was standing but she was gone. "Wait! What does the omen mean?!"

She kept shouting for her name but then everything around her went blurry "Brightstar! Wait!"

Her head shot up from the water of the moonpool as she shouted once more "Wait!"

"I'm not going anywhere." Dawnmist meowed laughing as she noticed Gracestar standing to her paws, breathing heavily.

The Brightclan leader looked at the Medicine Cat with uncertainty in her eyes. I should tell her about the omen...I think.

The Medicine Cat walked up to her as she rested her tail on Gracestar's back. "Let's go home."
