Chapter 12: goodbye
Stormpaw awoke to wails of sadness coming from the Thunderclan cats.
"Stormpaw," Lightpaw entered the den, "Figtail is dead,"
Stormpaw shot to her feet and bolted outside, passing Lightpaw.
"No!" She wailed, she skidded to a stop beside Figtails motionless body, burns were scattered across his body. Stormpaw buried her face into his fur, she never really liked Figtail, but when she was a kit he had told the best story's.
"It happened only a few minutes ago," Lightpaw told Stormpaw, "I noticed that he wasn't breathing properly, so I went to get Whitechest," Lightpaws voice cracked, "b-but when I came back h-he was dead!" She wailed the last part, Lightpaw and Figtail were close, Lightpaw use to spend a lot of time in the elders den, listening to his story's, but spent less time in there when she had became a medicine cat apprentice.
Dawnpaw was sitting with the other Thunderclan apprentices, except for Ashpaw. He looked around the riverclan camp, his expression was guilty looking. Like if he had collected wet moss instead of dry for the elders and was about to get punished by Shadowclaw.
Stormpaw glared at him, holding back a hiss. He and fire would try to destroy the clans, how could he do that? Ashpaw saw Stormpaw glaring at him and glared back, he looked like that if he could, he would actually kill Stormpaw.
"He knows," the she-cats voice meowed, "but StarClan didn't tell him,"
Stormpaw was shocked, Ashpaw knew of the prophecy, but StarClan didn't tell him. Stormpaw turned and went back into the riverclan apprentice den, and feel back into a deep sleep.
Stormpaw was in a forest, she knew this was StarClans forest. She continued to walk through, she could hear invisible birds tweeting and mice scuttling. When she came to the clearing, she saw a beautiful silver tabby she-cat standing, her eyes were a brilliant green. At first she thought it was Lightpaw, but this she-cat was older.
"Hello Stormpaw," the She-cats voice was the same one who told her the prophecy, " I have missed you,"
Stormpaw finally understood who this she-cat was.
"Mother?" Stormpaw run up to her, purring.
"Yes, but call me Grassripple," Grassripple purred, "the reason I brought you here tonight is because of Ashpaw, I know that you know that I know that Ashpaw has been visiting the Dark Forest,"
Stormpaw nodded.
"And that you have been wonderering who the 'Storm' is," Grassripple continued.
"I will tell you the whole prophecy,
When Ash and Fire gets his name, his eyes will burn,
When Storm let's lightning from her claws, Ash and Fire will fall,
Ash and Fire will fall and Storm will save the clans..."
