"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather at high rock for a clan meeting!" Brackenstar, the leader of Thunderclan, called.

Apprentices and warriors gathered below high rock, Sprucepelt, Stormkit's, Dawnkits, Lightkits and Ashkits adoptive mother guided the kits out of the nursery. Her own kit, Dustykit, stayed behind with Ravenfeathers kits.

"As you all know, Ashkit, Stormkit, Lightkit and Dawnkit have all reached six moons old," Brackenstar begain. "Ashkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Ashpaw. Your mentor will be Shadowclaw. I hope Shadowclaw will pass down all she knows on to you." Brackenstar paused, "Shadowclaw come up." Shadowclaw came up to sit behind Ashpaw.

"Shadowclaw, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Molenose, and you have shown yourself to be loyal and strong. You will be the mentor of Ashpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Ashpaw." Brackenstar finished.

The other cats came up and started chanting his new name and nuzzling him, "Ashpaw! Ashpaw!"

Brackenstar waited for silence.

"Stormkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Stormpaw. Your mentor will be Skyleaf. I hope Skyleaf will pass down all she knows on to you." Brackenstar paused, "Skyleaf come up." Skyleaf sat next to Stormkit.

"Skyleaf, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Frostshimmer, and you have shown yourself to be loyal and smart. You will be the mentor of Stormpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Stormpaw."

The cats came up and did the same thing to Stormpaw, "Stormpaw! Stormpaw!" They chanted.

"Dawnkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Dawnpaw. Your mentor will be Silverfeather. I hope Silverfeather will pass down all she knows on to you." Silverfeather knew what to do and came to sit beside Dawnpaw, the other cats chanted her name, Stormpaw and Ashpaw the loudest. "Dawnpaw! Dawnpaw!"

"Silverfeather, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Thunderclaws, and you have shown yourself to be strong and a great hunter. You will be the mentor of Dawnpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Dawnpaw."

"Lightkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Lightpaw. Your mentor will be Whitechest. I hope Whitechest will pass down all he knows on to you." Whitechest, the medicine cat came and stood next to Lightpaw.

"Whitechest, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from Pigeonfern, and you have shown yourself to be smart and a great medicine cat. You will be the mentor of Lightpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Lightpaw."

After the ceremony Stormpaw went over to join the other apprentice's, her best friend, Tigerpaw, was laying in the sun, his brown eyes gleamed in the light, he watched her as she came over.

"Hi,"she said happily, her silver fur shone in the sunlight, "having a nice nap?" She asked.

"I was until you spoiled it!" He joked, "come join me, it's your first day as an apprentice!"

"When do you think Dustykits going to become a apprentice?" Stormpaw asked, "will he be strong enough?"

"I'm sure he will Stormpaw, his much stronger then Robinkit," Tigerpaw answered. They watched as the little tabby kit bounced out of the nursery and over to them.
