Chapter 24
(Future)
Frostpelt waited at the end of the path leading to the river, waiting for her father and the medicine cats to be done speaking with ShadowClan's leader and medicine cats.
It seemed like hours till Flamestar appeared from the undergrowth, Ravenstar and his deputy and medicine cats behind him.
"Why are you still here? I thought I said to go and keep your brothers in place." Flamestar asked.
"They weren't in camp. They are on a hunting patrol at the moment." Frostpelt responded.
"That makes me telling the clan much easier..." Flamestar sighed.
Frostpelt assisted her father, deputy, medicine cats, and ShadowClan's leader, deputy, and medicine cats too the clan camp, where Flamestar made his announcement, "I have made the decision alongside my deputy and medicine cats that ShadowClan shall be allowed refuge until further notice! We are dealing with a powerful enemy, and so are they!"
Flamestar had become such a good leader, that no cat objected. He had his mistakes, of course, but he owned up to them. It's what made him a good leader. He was willing to except when he was in the wrong.
Frostpelt knew that her brothers would object though. They weren't fans of ShadowClan and had even gotten in a skirmish with a two-cat border patrol due to ShadowClan's small population.
"I'll go tell Creekstream and Cloudfall, father." Frostpelt mewed before walking off to the camp exit.
Frostpelt looked at the river where her brothers usually hunted, and there they were, "Cloudfall, Creekstream, you need to head to the camp. ShadowClan's been accepted refuge after a third of their warriors loyal to Ravenstar were chased off their territory."
The two brothers abruptly moved their heads up, "They were WHAT?!"
"Two thirds of their warriors betrayed Ravenstar and we have no idea who they allied with to gain so much power!" Frostpelt tried to explain as her two brothers rushed off to the RiverClan camp, ignoring thorns that prickled their pelts.
Once the three reached the camp, Creekstream and Cloudfall immediately challenged their father's decision, "We shouldn't let ShadowClan take refuge! Never should we share the same camp again with those pieces of cro-"
"Just shut up already you mousebrains! Flamestar made his decision! A leader's command is law! It's a little thing called the warrior code!" Frostpelt hissed to knock some sense into the mousebrains.
The stubborn idiots refuged to change their stance, "ShadowClan has caused enough problems for RiverClan!"
Frostpelt growled with frustration, "Do you two NOT understand the bigger picture here?! ShadowClan LOST their territory! ShadowClan has really strained relationships with ThunderClan, SkyClan, AND WindClan! Their best bet for survival is to come too US!"
"Has everyone already forgotten the past?! What ShadowClan did?!" Creekstream yelled.
Flamestar looked at his sons, "RiverClan did equally as horrible things as ShadowClan did. Both clans participated in the killing of cats for not agreeing with Redstar and Froststar..."
"Just calm down. A leader's word is law, Creekstream and Cloudfall." Frostpelt attempted to calm them down.
"Then I guess Flamestar SHOULDN'T be leader!" Cloudfall hissed.
Frostpelt hissed back, "Well too bad! He's leader right now! HE makes the final decision! Not you! If it were up to you, ShadowClan wouldn't be here right now getting the help they NEED!"
"Then they should've gone to-" Ravenstar intervened what Cloudfall was going to say, "We can't go to SkyClan cause they still hate us. We can't go to WindClan cause then we'd have to go through ThunderClan territory to do so. We can't go to ThunderClan for a reason similar as to SkyClan. Please tell me which other clan we have the ability to get help from?"
Cloudfall shut up, while Creekstream wasn't as bright, "Don't get help from any clan then! Go away from the territories of the clans!"
Ravenstar turned his attention to the dumb white tom, "StarClan has made it clear that they want ALL clans to be at this location. No clan is to be driven away from their home. If one clan is forced to leave, then all clans leave."
Creekstream growled before turning tail and walking away, Cloudfall by his side.
Flamestar turned to Ravenstar, "I'm terribly sorry for their rude behavior. I'll be sure they get punished."
Ravenstar replies back, "No no. It's fine. No need for punishment. That'll make the situation worse. You gotta slowly get them used to having us around rather than jumping to punishment."
Flamestar just sighed, "I doubt that'll work, especially knowing those two..."
Frostpelt couldn't help but agree with her dad, her brothers will more than likely be that way for the rest of their lives...

Redspots looked around a tree trunk to look for prey. Leaf-bare was nearing and they needed prey pronto! Redspots looked up at the sky, Leaf-bare will probably come by tomorrow with the clouds being the way they are!
Redspots stopped in his thoughts when he got a smell of a rabbit. He immediately got into a hunter's crouch and stalked forward as he neared a brown pelt. He swiftly ran up to it, but the rabbit had already heard him and burst into a nearby hole. Redspots missed a piece of vital prey that the clan needed.
Redspots sighed to himself, The only thing I had caught was a scrawny mouse...
Redspots looked back at the rest of the hunting patrol as they walked up to him, "No luck either?" Strikeclaw asked.
Redspots shook his head, "The only thing I got was a scrawny mouse. The only use it'll have is for the kits. With the amount of elders we have, there is no way they could share a mouse like the one I caught..."
Strikeclaw sighed, "Let's get back to camp everyone..."
The hunting patrol groaned at their failure to find any suitable prey for the clan.
Once the patrol returned to camp, Silentstorm and Lightstream padded up to the patrol, "Well...how did it go?" Lightstream asked.
Twigbranch looked at the ThunderClan deputy with a lost look, "At the rate we are going right now, more than seventy five percent of the clan will starve...Haven't we lost enough from starvation?..."
Redspots knew where she was coming from. Her mate, Finleap, was one of the casualties of a blizzard that swept through the clans territory. Amongst the casualties was a lot of her family. Bramblestar had died of hypothermia. Squirrelstar died of the greencough outbreak that happened after the blizzard. A lot of clan cats, loners, rogues, and kittypets alike were all impacted by the outbreak.
The normally enthusiastic happy-go-lucky Lightstream looked down at the ground and sighed. There was no doubt in Redspots's mind that all of this was stressing her out.
Silentstar seemed to have noticed as well, "You should get some rest. You have been deputy for only a few months. I don't want you to tire yourself already."
Lightstream nodded her head in gratitude and respect and headed off to the warriors den.
"The rest of you should do the same. I'm sure you all tried all that you could." Silentstar added before stalking away to his den.
Redspots could hear Strikeclaw sigh, "What are we going to do?...Two-thirds of ShadowClan's warriors have betrayed their own clan, Dewdrop is dead, the ShadowClan traitors have probably aligned themselves with a massive rogue group, and prey has already become scarce!"
Redspots felt bad for the grayish-red tom. Strikeclaw had been through many things.
Redspots could see from his peripheral vision that Flowerfur was still watching him...Redspots was getting very nervous and it was slightly freaking him out a bit!
Redspots made the final decision to confront her about it.

Darkfur walked along the ThunderClan-WindClan border and sprayed the territorial border for ThunderClan as Shadepelt, Fireclaw, and Dewpuddle appeared to mark the WindClan territory.
Darkfur and a couple of other ThunderClan warriors nodded their heads in respect to the WindClan border patrol and finished their scent marks and walked off to the camp.
Once the border patrol returned to camp, Darkfur could see that the prey pile was barely added on to, I guess the hunting patrol was lucky enough to even find prey...
Darkfur looked to where Redspots was sitting, looking solemn and lost before the red tortoiseshell looked up and walked in the direction of Flowerfur.
I wonder what that is all about, Darkfur wondered before walking to the warriors den. He was most definitely tired from all the walking he had to endure. Here's to hoping that things'll get better...
~^~
Flowerfur watched as Redspots walked up to her, "Why do you keep watching me? It's a 'little' unsettling, don't you think?"
Flowerfur sighed, "Listen to me. That scar of yours can still open up at any moment. You are not clear from anything until I decide that your neck is ready to go by unwatched."
Redspots muttered something to himself that Flowerfur couldn't hear, and the red tom walked away.
Flowerfur sighed to herself, knowing that she didn't accidentally share a prophecy.
~^~
Frostpelt was finally calmed down after what happened. Creekstream and Cloudfall were mouse-brains! A clan was in need of help! It is every clans interest to help another, but past events meant that ShadowClan was scared to encounter the other clans!...Lets hope my brothers don't try anything...
A white she-cat with silver eyes made her way through the camp full of mingling ShadowClan and RiverClan cats. She was still a new apprentice of ShadowClan and didn't know what to do. Everything was so overwhelming. Especially after losing the ShadowClan camp...The white she-cat looked to her right and saw another white she-cat with blue eyes looking around the area, looking a little upset and angry, but appeared to try to calm themselves down.
"Lightpaw! Get over here!" Lightpaw's mentor called.
"Coming!" Lightpaw called back, taking one last glance at the white she-cat nearby Flamestar before walking off to her mentor, Firestorm.

What do you think the prophecy Flowerfur mentioned is?
Who is Firestorm and does he sound familiar?
Who is Lightpaw exactly and why did I introduce her?
Please leave your suggestions and answers in the comments!!!!
