Chapter 23
Though Dawnstar felt weird stepping down from leadership, it didn't make sense to continue when she was on her last life and she was about to have kits.
Dawnstar nodded to Jayfeather, who was waiting for her. The two walked out of the camp with the vines outside of the entrance brushing against her pelt.
"You sure you want to this?" Jayfeather asked.
Dawnstar closed her eyes, "Yes...I'm going to have kits and I am on my last life...There's no reason to continue being a leader now..."
Jayfeather nodded his head, "Okay."
Dawnstar and Jayfeather didn't speak for the rest of the way to the moonpool and once they got there, Jayfeather nodded his head again and stepped back.
Dawnstar touched her muzzle on the cold water. It didn't take long for the darkness to consume her vision before her eyes shot open to a starry field. Starry trees, starry grass, and even a starry robin. Dawnstar looked to see a leader that gave her ninth life, Firestar, "Firestar." Dawnstar nodded in respect.
Firestar spoke soon, "You are absolutely sure you want to pull back from leadership?"
Dawnstar sighed, "So you already know? Yes, I am sure."
Firestar, to, sighed, "Then all cats that gave Dawnstar her nine lives, I summon you to the clearing!"
Soon eight other cats appeared. The shapes of Blossomfall, Bluestar, Thunderstar, Squirrelstar, Ferncloud, Ashfur, Ashblade, and Birchtail appeared after Firestar's call.
Blossomfall walked up to Dawnstar. The very first cat that ever welcomed Dawnstar to ThunderClan was Blossomfall. Blossomfall was Dawnstar's biggest supporter when it came to who Squirrelstar's deputy would be. It would've been either Ivypool or Lionblaze, but Lionblaze didn't show much willingness to be a deputy. Ivypool was close, but at the end, Squirrelstar chose her. Dawnstar felt so bad that Ivypool didn't get chosen that Dawnstar made Ivypool deputy when she became leader.
"I hope you you raise your kits to be the best warriors they can be." Blossomfall purred. Blossomfall touched muzzles with Dawnstar. Dawnstar could feel the life leave her body for a second time, "See you soon Dawnstar."
"You to my old friend..." Dawnstar whispered. She felt like she was going to cry. Blossomfall was hunting alone and a badger happened to be in the area.
Soon Bluestar walked up to her, "You made a good leader while you were one. You did better with the outcome of your feelings than I ever could." Bluestar touched noses with Dawnstar and Dawnstar felt a cold dread go across her spine. She didn't know where it came from. It felt like she fell in cold water from the top of a cliff!
Bluestar walked away and Thunderstar walked up to her, "It is rare I give lives to leaders," the nearly faded leader spoke, "I could tell you would help lead the clans to a better point."
"In all honesty, Lionstripe lead the clans to this point. He may have been gone for awhile, but that also affected how long the preparations were. It allowed to double-check everything and make sure the plan was fool proof. But he lead us to this point. He made the plan. And if anything, Runningstar helped Lionstripe get an idea. Runningstar and Lionstripe are the ones to thank for where we are now. Adderstripe should be thanked for betraying Redstar and sending all the medicine cats all to the other clans. Dovewing should be the one to thank for getting the medicine cats to the other clans safely. I shouldn't be thanked, they should. The three should be thanked. Their fourth and fifth should be thanked. Not me."
Thunderstar chuckled a bit, "But yet you were the one to welcome him into the clans." Thunderstar presses his fading nose onto Dawnstar's nose and Dawnstar had the same feeling she had with the last two non-existent lives.
Squirrelstar walked up to the creamy-ginger leader as Thunderstar stepped back, "To think you have gotten this far. You remind me of my sister minus the forbidden relationship," Squirrelstar clearly mused a little, "Since this is what you really want, all I can say is teach your kits well. Teach them discipline and respect. Something I lacked when I was a kit. I would get in constant trouble with my dad and mom cause of it." Squirrelstar reached her muzzle to Dawnstar and took the other non-existent life.
Squirrelstar smiled before walking off to the back as Ferncloud walked up, "Just like everyone is saying, teach your kits amazing things like respect and kindness. Show them that kindness is golden, but to know when to drop the kindness act and show sternness and strictness." Ferncloud presses her muzzle on Dawnstar's like the others before walking away, allowing Ashfur, Ferncloud's brother to speak.
"Whatever you do, know when to stop. I had to learn that the hard way. Know when to back off when someone wants you to stop." The grey tom clearly made a small glance at Squirrelstar, "And when that someone wants you to stop, don't ever show hatred. It'll get you nowhere and will only hurt your relationships." Ashfur presses his muzzle on Dawnstar's and she could feel a slight fire burning, she just couldn't pin-point what it was.
Ashfur backed off as Ashblade walked up, "May you have an amazing life ahead of you, Dawnstar. You deserve the rest after what you've done in the past." Ashblade touched noses with Dawnstar. Something just seemed off, like something was coming to her before she woke up.
Ashblade began to back off as Birchtail, Ivypool's and Dovewing's father, walked up to her. Birchtail had tried to save Blossomfall when she was being attacked when everyone was looking for her. The moment she died, Birchtail lost it at seeing Ivypool's best friend dying. He attacked the badger and died, but not before he managed to claw open the badger's throat, killing it. Birchtail died like a true warrior.
"It feels weird that I have to take away a life that was already taken." Birchtail chuckled, "Take care of your kit or kits, okay? And protect them with your only life."
Dawnstar nodded. Birchtail touched muzzles with Dawnstar and Dawnstar felt like something was going to happen again.
Birchtail made one last smile to her before walking to the others and Firestar walked up, "To he honest, this is my first time redacting a life," The ginger leader began, "I'm sure Lionstripe can handle the leadership. I wish you and you family luck."
Dawnstar mouthed thank you as her last life was removed. She was now no longer leader of ThunderClan. She was now just a ThunderClan queen. She was now, Dawnflower.
Dawnflower nodded to the former ginger leader as Firestar walked and sat amongst the other cats that gave Dawnstar's nine lives to her.
Ashblade walked back up to her as the others faded, "Wait why are you still here?! Where did everyone else go?!" Dawnstar began before Ashblade began to speak, "When the lion dies, it will cause vengeance and hatred. It will lead to destruction and everything we once knew may go away if the red spotted robin goes overboard. It will be the cause of death and only the frost can lead the robin to its choices. They could either lead to destruction and death or hope and safety."
Dawnflower woke up immediately after getting the prophecy. Jayfeather looked at her worryingly, "What happened?"
Dawnflower looked at Jayfeather, "I think something really bad will happen in the future...Like really really bad..."

Hollyleaf sat at the end of the warriors den before she was confronted by Amberclaw, "How are you today, Hollyleaf?"
Hollyleaf began to get nervous, she couldn't place why she was, but she was, "I'm fine, I'm just wondering when Dawnstar will get back...Wait, she won't be Dawnstar once she returns!"
Amberclaw twitched his whiskers in amusement, "Yep," Amberclaw began to stretch, "Anywho, I'm going to go on a hunting patrol."
"Alright, see you when you get back hopefully!" Hollyleaf called out.
Amberclaw looked back at Hollyleaf with a warm look before leaving to ask Lionstripe, who was at the bottom of the steps that lead to the highrock, if he could go on a hunting patrol.
Hollyleaf purred before getting up to get something to eat.

Somflow began to pad off to his housefolk's den. His sister had decided to stay with Storm and be a clan cat. As Somflow began to pad through the window he could notice that the window was shattered, "What in the name of the world happened to the window?" Somflow thought out loud.
"Some housefolks broke into the den and stole a few things." A brown tabby she-cat spoke.
"Rooster?" Somflow double checked.
"Yep. It's me. I was just walking around the area when I saw some housefolks attack yours. It was pretty bloody from what I saw. Your housefolk is alive from what I heard, but he was in critical condition." Rooster clarified.
Somflow sighed, "What are you doing anyway?"
"I was waiting for you actually so that I can tell you. Where's your sister?" Rooster noticed.
"She joined with the clan cats."
"Sounds unlike her."
"She finds this new she-cat that her, MJ, and I met fascinating or something, so she decided to stay in the clans with them." Somflow clarified as well.
Rooster nodded her head, "That makes sense a little. Anyways! See you some other day!"
Somflow nodded his head before walking inside the home through the broken window, being careful to avoid any small shards.
