Chapter 16
Lionstripe stared directly at the shape of Zizzeyelon. This couldn't be possible! She was shot by that twoleg all that time ago!
"H-how?" Lionstripe was suddenly rushed with emotion.
"I'm here to let you know that things will get better. Go to some of our old friends. They are what you need to look for. Good luck."
Lionstripe immediately woke up in the now Riverclan controlled Windclan territory.
Lionstripe looked around the empty plains of the former Windclan territory. Something didn't feel right to Lionstripe. Like something was watching him.
He didn't put the feeling away like most would. He kept himself on high alert and made sure there was nothing following him.
It pained him making the decision to leave, but if Thunderclan could easily turn on him without looking into the accusation further, he couldn't trust them. He was leaving behind many of his family. Lionblaze, Silentpaw, Hollyleaf, Strikeclaw, Cloudfang, ...even Jayfeather... Now that I think about it, why would Jayfeather put his apprentice in the area of certain death. It couldn't have been Jayfeather. But someone was being a two timer. There's a mole in Thunderclan if it wasn't Jayfeather that conspired against him.
Lionstripe couldn't continue thinking as he was attacked.
All Lionstripe knew was that he needed to get to a distance from the attacker and get a better sight of them.
He swiftly turned around and clawed the attackers face and got at a far enough distance from the cat.
"Who are you?!" Lionstripe demanded.
The attacker, which was a grey tabby she-cat, chuckled, "You are quick to react. Fast on your feet too. But you didn't use it for running away. Why is that?"
Lionstripe was utterly confused, "You sound like I'm in a training session. I don't need any. I've trained for a long time. I know moves no other cat can do."
"Everything is based on training now. I can tell that you've trained hard. But why didn't use the supposed 'moves no other cat can do'?" The she-cat asked.
"You ask a lot of questions you know." Lionstripe calmed down, "I didn't use my moves on you cause you were pretty slow to be honest. They wouldn't work on you that easily. I didn't run away cause I don't run from a fight unless absolutely necessary. You also didn't answer my question when I asked who you were."
The grey she-cat chuckled, "The name's Storm. I'm a loner as you clan cats call us."
"How did you know I was a clan cat?" Lionstripe asked Storm.
"You have their scent on you. I've also come by them before from time to time."
"That's good and all, but I'm trying to meet up with an old friend if you'll so kindly go away!" Lionstripe growled.
Storm just stared at him blankely, "Only if you let me in on your journey."
Lionstripe didn't have any time for games at all. It was better to just say yes and get it over with, "Fine! But don't be a nuisance! I need to focus on remembering my path!"
The grey she-cat just nodded her head as Lionstripe walked ahead and followed behind him.
It took Lionstripe...and Storm awhile to get to a twolegplace. Right in front of them, a big red twoleg den.
"Here it is." Lionstripe sighed in relief.
"What is here exactly?" Storm asked.
"It's not a what Storm. It's a who and I know them."
"When you say 'them', do you mean one...or multiple?" Storm was quite the question asker.
"Two." Lionstripe meowed before heading towards an open window.
"¡Hola, amigo mío, muy estúpido!" Lionstripe called out.
"What did you say?" Storm asked.
"It means hello my very stupid friend." Lionstripe replied with a grin, "That's the only way my friend can tell it's me."
"MJ! You're still alive!" Lionstripe turned around and saw two old friends, Somflow and Echostorm.
"Of course I'm alive Somflow and Echostorm! Cloud, Quake, and I had joined Thunderclan. They are called Cloudfoot and Quakepelt," Lionstripe said their names with slight distaste, giving Somflow and Echostorm worried looks at Lionstripe, "And I go by Lionstripe now!"
"That's cool." Echostorm meowed with some worry noticed, "How are Cloudfoot and Quakepelt?"
Lionstripe responded which gave Echostorm and Somflow more worried looks, "I don't know. I haven't spoken with them in awhile," Lionstripe soon added, "I was accused of something I didn't do and they believed that accusation."
Lionstripe could tell it didn't fix their worried looks, but he can tell it cleared things up, "Listen. I need your guys's help with something. Something only you, your sister, and I know about. I left Thunderclan. They don't know what I want to do right now."
Somflow and Echostorm grew even more worried, "You don't mea-" Before Somflow could finish, Storm forced herself into the conversation, "If you haven't forgotten already, I'm still right here you know. And what does Somflow mean by 'You don't mean' anyway?"
Lionstripe started to grow a grin, "Let's just say that I'm not an ordinary cat shall we. Though I guess you aren't either, so I guess we are both on a similar boat right now."

A creamy-ginger she-cat started to get up from her sleep. Dawnstar couldn't think much after Lionstripe left Thunderclan to fend for themselves. He was immediately accused of conspiring with Redstar and Froststar despite the fact he tried to save Silentpaw from Redstar.
Dawnstar just wanted things to be it's normal quiet self once more. Lionstripe left Thunderclan, they didn't have much time left to initiate their plan, Redstar and Froststar are getting more and more cats joining Shadowclan and Riverclan, all the while Thunderclan, Skyclan, and Windclan are getting weaker and weaker.
Dawnstar wanted Lionstripe to be here still. She remembered the tom easily the moment he showed up as MJ. He was the same tom that scared that badger away from her when she was 15 moons old.
"You okay Dawnstar?" Dawnstar turned around and saw Bumblestripe. "Yeah I'm fine."
Bumblestripe had a look of doubt on his face, "You didn't and don't look okay...It's about Lionstripe isn't it?"
Dawnstar sighed, "It doesn't make sense. All Lionstripe has ever done was trying to prove to the clan that he could be trusted. The entire clan had pressured him so much and he just finally broke under the pressure..."
"Trust is never easy to obtain. Lionstripe knew that. But at least he tried. I don't think he completely left the clan. Knowing him, he's getting some old friends or something and making an army of sorts." Bumblestripe reassured.
Dawnstar was still feeling hopeless, "The warrior code states that I have to name a new deputy before the end of the day. Will you be that deputy Bumblestripe?"
Bumblestripe was shocked by the question, "Firestar didn't name his new deputy until he was sure his old one wasn't coming back. And guess what! That old deputy, Greystripe himself, came back!"
"...so that means no..." Dawnstar replied silently.
"Dawnstar..." Before the tom could finish, Dawnstar had started making her way to the exit of her den and walked out. "I'm going to get some fresh air. Since we don't have a deputy, you are in charge until I return."
"Daw- *sigh* Yes ma'am..." Bumblestripe reluctantly agreed as he watched his leader leave the clan camp.

"This is going to be just great..." Dovewing sighed, "Just great!"
"What's wrong Dovewing?" Dappledleaf asked.
"Firepaw has become what his brother used to be like! Putting bugs in my nest before sneaking out!"
Dappledleaf chuckled, "Believe it or not, there will be a day when you will miss Firepaw being a kit. He's training to be a warrior now. Soon that warrior thing will get to him and he'll be a calm and disciplined cat. If you don't believe me, ask Jayfeather and Lionblaze about their childhood. The two would always get into trouble from what Squirrelstar used to tell me."
Dovewing sighed again, "Believe me. I know. I used to have more than just Shadowreach at some point. I had three kits. Two of which died as warriors when the clans were arguing over the reality of Starclan...It broke me. Then I had two more kits with Tigerstar before the Redcough outbreak killed him. Now I only have one kit as the other is being brainwashed by Redstar and Froststar!"
"It's okay Dovewing. We will get your kit back from Redstar and Froststar. Okay?" Dappledleaf reassured.
Dovewing just kept nodding her head and repeating 'yep'.

Quakepelt started to look back at the attack. She knew M...Lionstripe wouldn't do such a thing as turn his back on his family. He wanted to see his family for a very long time. And he finally could. There was no reason for him to turn his back on that. Especially when he knows that there are cats here that believe that he didn't try to betray Thunderclan.
She soon heard the pawsteps of Cloudfoot, "Despite your name sounding like your quiet on your paws, your a very loud walker!" Quakepelt chuckled.
Cloudfoot sighed, "Sorry for disturbing you. I've just been thinking about what happened in the last few moons since we've been here..."
"So have I..."
"What are we going to do now that Lionstripe isn't here any more?" Cloudfoot asked.
"I don't know," Quakepelt sighed, "Maybe look for him..."
"He conspire-" Quakepelt cut Cloudfoot off.
"You and I both know he would NEVER do such a thing! He would never betray his family!" Quakepelt was filled with immediate rage, sending Cloudfoot backing up.
"Okay! Okay! Calm down damnit!" Cloudfoot yelled.
Quakepelt turned away in shame, "Sorry Cloudfoot...It's just hard to imagine MJ...I mean Lionstripe to be so separated from us. He hates us now, and the whole clan believes he is a traitor."
"*sigh* You should go talk to Sorrelstripe for now. You seem comfortable around her. Talk to her and calm down, okay?"
"Okay Cloudfoot...I really hope Lionstripe comes back..." The brown she-cat started her way towards Sorrelstripe.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Lionblaze looked around the clearing. He saw Ashfall talking to a few warriors, Quakepelt walking to his daughter, Sorrelstripe, Silentpaw and the other apprentices training, and Hollyleaf chatting with Amberclaw.
"Whatcha doing up here?" Lionblaze turned to see Bumblestripe walking towards him.
"Just watching everything." Lionblaze meowed
"It feels weird doesn't it?" The now senior grey warrior asked.
"It does. Lionstripe just ups and leaves. Jayfeather hasn't done much since Alderheart died. So much has changed in so little time..." Lionblaze sighed.
Bumblestripe nodded his head in understanding, "I just denied the deputyship from Dawnstar. I just believe that Lionstripe will come back, but it looks as if Dawnstar has lost hope for that."
"I could tell. I think something was going on with the two or something. Something in the past maybe?," Lionblaze couldn't wrap his head what was going on with Lionstripe and Dawnstar. There was also the worry of Riverclan and Shadowclan invasion, "We'll never know unless Lionstripe does return."
"Maybe." Bumblestripe replied quickly, "We should go and talk to everyone while we can. Once Dawnstar returns, we will more than likely have to prepare for the battle against Redstar, Froststar, and their loyal clanmates. We also have to further protect Adderstripe and Dustflight as they had betrayed Redstar."
"Let's get going then shall we?" Lionblaze asked.
Bumblestripe nodded his head and the two made their way to their friends and family.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Dovewing started to pace around. She was still stressing about what would happen to Jaypaw.
"You okay?" An old friendly voice asked.
Dovewing eyes were wide with shock as she saw the figure of Bumblestripe.
"Why are yo-"
"I'm here cause it feels right that I do so. I haven't talked to you in awhile anyway."
Dovewing sighed, "Thanks I guess. What do you want to talk about then?"
"How is Firepaw holding up?" Bumblestripe asked.
Dovewing turned her head to see Firepaw, Silentpaw, Dustpaw, Shrewpaw, Swiftpaw, and the other tom apprentices hanging out, "He's fine. He's made friends with a lot of the apprentices."
"Dustpaw just so happens to be my apprentice." Bumblestripe meowed, "I'm glad the two are friends. If they were attacking each other, then that would mean all that hard work of showing respect to others would be thrown out the window." Bumblestripe laughed a little.
"Attacking each other would sound very out of character for Firepaw. He's very careful about hurting others physically or mentally. Definitely seems like he would be Lionstripe's kit!" Dovewing meowed in amusement.
Dovewing could tell Bumblestripe was relaxed and didn't show any hate for her.
"I should get going as there is a lot to prepare for. It was nice talking to you for once!" Bumblestripe left with one last smile before exiting the nursery and heading towards the now returned Dawnstar.
Things are going to be a lot different than they would've been if Redstar wasn't born. At least something good came out of his Starclan forsaken birth!
