Chapter 13

Thunderclan was celebrating. They had finally released themselves from Shadowclan's and Riverclan's grasp, and their new deputy was Lionstripe when he got Silentpaw as his apprentice, whom he promised to teach some amazing battle moves.

Dawnstar, Lionstripe, and Fernsong grew out of their depressed states and were happy cats once more.

While it stung that Ivypool wasn't with them anymore, the clans still had something to look forward. A prophecy that could save them. They already knew who three of the cats were. They were none other than, Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Dovewing.

That only left two. Lionstripe still pondered who the cats were. I can't be one of those cats. Though the shadow thing would be a fun ability, Lionstripe stifled a mrowww of amusement. He was right next to the entrance for the warriors den think to himself. "What you thinking 'bout that's so funny?"

Lionstripe turned around to see Strikeclaw, the very few cats that stood by his side when he was accused of attempting to feed the clan poppy seeds. "Just thinking about the prophecy, and how ironic that Lionblaze, Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, Dovewing, and Firestar were related to me, and how they were all in at least a prophecy." Strikeclaw just looked at him, "Knowing you, you don't think your apart of that prophecy?" Lionstripe knew he could trust Strikeclaw to go on his instincts. "No I do not." Lionstripe meowed cooly. Strikeclaw looked unsure about Lionstripe's decision, but didn't say anything. That was when Strikeclaw looked behind Lionstripe and his eyes grew the size of the moon. Lionstripe turned around to see what was behind him.

Alderheart had left the medicine cat den, just to find a group of Windclan and Skyclan warriors walking inside the camp, and they were all very badly injured. Jayfeather and Alderheart rushed to the hurt cats. "What in the name of Starclan happened?" Jayfeather asked. "Shadowclan and Riverclan attacked our camp." Runningstar spat blood from his mouth. Alderheart turned around too see Lionstripe, Strikeclaw, and Dawnstar walking toward the clan cats.

"I'm guessing Shadowclan and Riverclan didn't like that you had all their medicine cats and Dovewing." Dawnstar asked cooly.

Lionstripe looked scared to death at how injured the cats were. "We need more poppy seeds, but..." Alderheart saw Jayfeather shake his head. He could tell the tom didn't want to be reminded that the cat who tried to put all of Thunderclan was still on the loose. "We were able to bring a lot of herbs with us since we all were able to escape!" Willowshine exclaimed.

Alderheart looked at Jayfeather, just to see happiness in the old tom's eyes. Alderheart didn't say anything since the tom didn't have the leisure to be happy all the time.

He could tell Lionstripe noticed as well, as the tom was shifting uncontrollably in an obvious battle on letting Dawnstar know, or let his brother have the happiness. To which he chose the ladder. Lionstripe kept quiet.

"We should get these herbs to the medicine cat den as soon as possible!" Lionstripe yowled. The medicine cats nodded and headed off.

The leaders and their deputies, Violetstar and Leafshade, and Runningstar and Volefang, walked up to them. "Thank you Thunderclan!" Runningstar replied gratefully.

"We are allies, are we not Runningstar?" Dawnstar asked. Runningstar looked even more grateful.

Lionstripe looked at Alderheart. "Why don't you go and do some medicine cat stuff for a bit? Help the others out." Lionstripe suggested. Alderheart dipped his head in respect and walked away.

Lionblaze stared at Dawnstar and Lionstripe as Alderheart and Strikeclaw walked away from them.

Lionblaze turned his head to talk to Bumblestripe, "Haven't you noticed how close Dawnstar and Lionstripe had gotten since we escaped Riverclan's and Shadowclan's grasp."

Bumblestripe turned his head toward Dawnstar and Lionstripe, "I have now." Bumblestripe replied. Lionblaze could tell his attention was to Dovewing. The first cat the tom had loved. The cat that broke Bumblestripe's heart.

"Why don't we talk to them when they're finished with their conversation with the leaders." Lionblaze turned to see Cinderheart walking too him. The two hadn't gotten the chance to talk since the clan was pretty separated into groups that were watched by Shadowclan, and another by Riverclan. "It's good to be able to talk to you now!" Lionblaze meowed. Cinderheart just started to curl up next to him, and fell asleep. "I guess it's good to be able to sleep next to you instead I guess."

Bumblestripe just twitched his whiskers in amusement and walked away. Lionblaze decided to doze off as well.

When Lionblaze woke up, he noticed that Cinderheart was still asleep, so he stayed where he was until she woke up. Cinderheart had begun to stir, "Why didn't you wake me up?" Cinderheart asked.

"I thought I'd let you and I enjoy the moment."

Cinderheart twitched her whiskers, "Why don't we go on a hunting patrol?!" Cinderheart suggested.

Lionblaze didn't think about it for a moment before making his decision, "Yeah! I mean yes that would be great!" Cinderheart's eyes began to shine. "Well let's get going shall we!" Lionblaze and Cinderheart began their way to the camp entrance.

Lionstripe and Dawnstar alongside the Windclan and Skyclan leaders and deputies were making a plan, and Lionstripe didn't like it one bit.

"You want to kill cats?!" Lionstripe asked in shock. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Killing will stop them! They have killed many of our cats! The warrior code was broken into pieces when they started killing our cats!" Leafshade reasoned.

Lionstripe couldn't argue with that. It was true. "You sure there isn't a less violent way to stop them?" Runningstar of all cats shook his head, "No there isn't. I-I wish there was, but there isn't. Unless you can turn Riverclan and Shadowclan against their leaders."

As Runningstar said that, an idea clicked in Lionstripe's head, "That might not be a bad idea!" Lionstripe exclaimed. Dawnstar, Violetstar, Volefang, Runningstar, and Leafshade thought about it.

"That isn't a bad idea Runningstar." Volefang spoke, "It really isn't." Runningstar looked at Lionstripe, "That would still require taking the lives of the two leaders."

"Leafshade spoke up, "Actually, Froststar and Redstar suffered greencough without a medicine cat. Thank Starclan Adderstripe sent them all too us, or we would've been in trouble!"

Lionstripe began to go deep in thought before looking up again, "It isn't the cat that is part of the prophecy that is the hero all the time. Simple acts that could've not happened like birth or sending cats, would prevent the prophecy from ever happening. There wouldn't be anyone to protect us 'cause of these acts."

Everybody looked at Lionstripe. Everybody looked confused before realization hit, "That is true. If Firestar simply never joined Thunderclan, Brokenstar or Tigerstar would've been the leader of Thunderclan. Skyclan wouldn't be rebuilt. The three and Lionstripe wouldn't of been born. Cloudtail wouldn't be in Thunderclan, preventing Dovewing's birth." Runningstar listed events that wouldn't happen.

Runningstar looked at Lionstripe, "If you kill Redstar right now, you could prevent a bloody war."

Lionstripe looked like he would die in stupidity. "It's not that easy Runningstar." Volefang began, "If he kills Redstar now, that would leave Froststar in sole control of Shadowclan and Riverclan, as Shadowclan doesn't have a deputy yet." Lionstripe could see Runningstar curse at himself.

"Do you think it's possible for Hollyleaf to be apart of it?" Lionstripe asked. Dawnstar and the others thought about it. "It's a plausible idea, but that would mean that you would likely be in it." Dawnstar replied.

"If I was a part of the prophecy, which power do you think I would have?" Lionstripe asked with amusement. Dawnstar looked at him with eyes saying "not now". Lionstripe let it go.

"Anyways, this prophecy could save our lives. We need to find out who the other two are before it's too late!" Lionstripe replied with urgency in his voice.

"We can't rush a prophecy Lionstripe!" Dawnstar scolded. That wasn't even worth scolding!

"Well we need to find a way to do so." Lionstripe replied cooly. This wasn't worth the argument. Dawnstar didn't argue any further, but Lionstripe knew she was going to talk to him about it. He was going to have to go for a hunting patrol to evade her.

It was final. They would have to wait for the two other cats of the prophecies to show themselves. In the meantime, they would have to go on the defensive, as most of Skyclan's and Windclan's cats were still injured.

Lionstripe immediately made the hunting patrol claiming that it will be a long hunting patrol to ensure they gather enough prey before the next leaf-bare.

"I'm guessing your on a hunting patrol to avoid Dawnstar." The reply made Lionstripe jump. The rest of the patrol just looked in shock. Nobody had gotten the jump on Lionstripe, that was until his apprentice Silentpaw walked up behind him.

"Uhmmm...no..." Lionstripe replied meekly. The patrol just laughed it off. "Geez Lionstripe! I didn't know even you would avoid Dawnstar!" Strikeclaw called out. Sending laughs from the patrol of you guessed it, senior warriors. "I've seen you avoid Mousefang a lot! You can't talk!" Strikeclaw look as if he would "attack" Lionstripe, sending ohhhs and laughs from the patrol again. Lionstripe turned his head and saw Silentpaw smile. The patrol just continued.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Hollyleaf watched Lionstripe's patrol. In the corner of her eyes, Hollyleaf saw Dawnstar stalking from behind Lionstripe. That mouse-brain's gonna have what's coming for him for leaving camp in an attempt to escape Dawnstar.

Without a doubt, she jumped on Lionstripe. The tom clearly thought he was being attacked, but saw Dawnstar and pretended to be defeated.

That mouse-brain is going to get the beating of his life by Dawnstar for that! Hollyleaf couldn't help but stifle some laughter at her new brother's stupidity. He'll eventually learn not to do that.

Hollyleaf picked out a dove and walked towards Jayfeather and Lionblaze, "What are you two looking at?"

Jayfeather looked her in the eyes, "Oh just looking at how blue the sky are!" Jayfeather replied sarcastically. Lionblaze twitched whiskers in amusement as Lionstripe sat with them. "So how was your beating from Dawnstar, Lionstripe?" Hollyleaf asked with a mix of amusement and curiosity. "Eh, she tried to hit me, but she couldn't." Lionstripe replied. Hollyleaf, Lionblaze and Jayfeather just shook their heads at his stupidity. "Well you better hope Dawnstar doesn't find out you said that." Lionblaze replied.

Jayfeather remained quiet. He still doesn't like Lionstripe, but he trusts him to do the right thing. "Well I guess I should get going! Need to do some medicine cat stuff real quick!" Jayfeather warned. Lionstripe began to shuffle his feet in discomfort. Something was bothering him. Hollyleaf and Lionblaze just nodded their heads as Jayfeather walked away, "Now your going to tell us what bothered you!" Lionblaze hissed quietly. Lionstripe remained quiet. "So it's something serious isn't it! Is Jayfeather blackmailing you. Is he doing something against the warrior and medicine cat code?" Hollyleaf saw some discomfort in Lionstripe's eyes, but drawed the conclusion that he was uncomfortable at being questioned, "He isn't doing anything wrong okay!" Lionstripe yelled, gaining the three clans attentions. Lionstripe started to stalk off, but Lionblaze wouldn't let him leave. "You're just telling Hollyleaf and I. Nobody else will know."

Lionstripe looked at Lionblaze and hissed, "Last time you went through something Jayfeather is doing, somebody died. I will not let any cats die!" Lionstripe continued walking away.

Hollyleaf noticed that Lionblaze wasn't making an attempt to get more information, "I can't believe Lionstripe's hiding something so important from us! He isn't like this!" Lionblaze hissed. "Lionblaze."

The tom didn't listen to Hollyleaf, "Lionblaze!" The tom finally turned his head, "I'm sure he has his reasons. He might not be ready. We should wait until he finds the right moment to tell us."

Lionblaze looked unsure, but didn't question any further, "If you say so." Hollyleaf was glad he wasn't like Lionstripe and questioning it further.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Jayfeather finally got some space from Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Lionstripe. He could finally talk to the cat he really looked forward to talking to. "I'm glad you could make it Jayfeather!" A pale grey tabby she-cat with green eyes walked up to him.

"I wouldn't of missed this chance for a second!" Jayfeather purred. The grey she-cat purred back. Jayfeather had an idea, "Why don't we meet again at the lake tomorrow? When they ask us why, we tell them it's medicine cat business. Sounds like a good idea, right Willowshine?"

Willowshine purred at the idea, "It might just work if done right!"
