"Who are you!" Tarc demanded. "Why did you take us here!"
"Shut up little man." The voice bellowed again.
Quail stumbled out of the fog.
"I don't know where he is!" She pointed out. "He's hiding!"
"That's what you think." A bodiless voice bellowed. Quail flew forward hitting a mound of coal.
Tarc summoned his weapon wearily. He looked around but couldn't spot anything. He looked at the muddy ground.
If he's invisible, I could cover him in mud. Tarc thought. He felt a sharp pain in his side as he flew towards Quail.
He hit her as she was standing up.
"I hate this guy." She complained.
Her eyes lit up, "Can you see that?"
"No?" Tarc replied.
"Look, footprints in the mud." Quail pointed at indents in the mud.
"That's convenient." Tarc observed.
"Haaaa! Yaaaa!" Sunny yelled flying through the air maliciously.
Her eyes lit up with surprise as her staff was grabbed seemingly by air and she was thrown back into the fog.
"I'll deal with that one later." That deep voice bellowed again.
Tarc and Quail ran as fast as they could at where Sunny just attacked. Tarc jump kicked the invisible man as Quail slammed her shoulder into his legs.
A large indent appeared in the ground and Tarc and Quail charged side by side to roll it over.
"I guess invisibility is pointless now." And a large man appeared.
"Danus?" Quail asked surprised.
"No you dingus." He seemed ticked off. "I'll tell you when I kill you."
Tarc ran as fast as he could tapping Quail's shoulder to follow. He led them behind a mound of coal.
"Think." Tarc whispered. "How did sunny take out the other gods so easily?"
"Witch magic." Quail answered.
"Seriously." Tarc pleaded, "Do you at least have a plan?"
"Marsh said something on out combining weapons," Quail remembered, "but that's it."
"Get you now and shoot my sword." Tarc commanded.
Tarc gave her his swords and she loaded her bow with them. Tarc reached over and noticed another button to switch modes.
"Homing, no. Split... No. " Tarc mumbled. "Terrif- Wait. Split?"
"Shoot?" Quail asked.
Tarc nodded his head.
Quail let go of the string and the first sword flew into the side of the god.
He chuckled. "You think that'll keep me dow-"
Suddenly the sword split and diced the god.
Quail's eyes widened. "Oh-" She gulped. "I-I di-did that."
"It's ok Quail." Tarc comforted. "All that you did to help that was pull a string."
She looked up at him. "I also came up with the idea... A-and now an innocent person is dead."
"He's not innocent!" Tarc pointed out, "He and all the other gods kicked Marsh out!"
"They're allowed to have opinions!" Quail debated. "Even if their wrong!"
Tarc gave up knowing he couldn't help. Quail put her head on her knees. Tarc looked at the god's body.
I turned to black dust and was absorbed by Quail.
