Me and Nov are practicing, me archery, her with swords. I pull one, aiming at a target over fifty feet away and fire, bulls eye. Sis stands with her mentor, he charges at her. She deflacks his attack, grabbing his arm and knees hem. He falls back, studed as she stands over hem. He looks at her "I can teach you no more." He says, getting up. I grin, I finished my training in less then half the time it took dad. She looks at me "shut up." She said, I grin more.

Later on that day, the four of us are at home when a knock at the door sounds. I get up and answer it, the head council mech there. Stepping aside, I gesture them to come in. Dad greets them with a bow, mom following. I come up, touching my forehead with two fingers, I do that cause I have yet to go through the ceremony to become one with the kingdom, sis follows my example. "That's go, setting a good example for you sister, keep doing that." He says. I beam with pride, dad and mom smiling. "Now to the point, I'm here cause of Nova here." He says. We all have shocked faces, even me. I get up, going over to sis "she hasn't done anything..." "I'm not here for that, she has the heart to become a council femme. She has the expertise and the mind of one, all she has to do is say yes." Tarlok says.

I shot up "No, me and sis are always together, we've never been apart. Why now." I yell. "I understand that which is way who else is more qualified to protect her. Every council person needs a protector, and you, dear knockout are the best qualified for it." Tarlok says. Sis stands, looking at council mech Tarlok. "I'll be able to help in decisions, rules and such." She says. Tarlok nods "We all do and while it lasts, I'll be your mentor." He said. Nov looks at me now. "What do you think I should do." She asked. Standing, I pull her to me, her helm on my shoulder "You decide, I'll except it." I say. She pulls away, turning to Tarlok "I except. When can I start."

He smiles. Standing, he puts his hands on her shoulders. "You'll start tomorrow." He said. Looking at me "Get plenty of rest, tomorrow, you both become one with the kingdom." Tarlok said. He turns to leave, I reach a hand out and grasp his arm. He turns, looking at me. "Yes?" He said. "Not being disgraceful but,...." I begin. "Your family may visit. " He said. "Its not that, I'm studying poisons, I wish to continue." I say. He looks at me and nods. "You may, I believe fellow council member deals with poisons." Tarlok says, half to himself. "Well I best be leaving, got other things to do." He said leaving.

Me and Nov lay in our bed, well my bed, holding each other. "Did I make a bad choice." She said, head in my chest. "No, you made a grate choice." I say, kissing her forehelm. She purrs, falling into recharge. "I purr, thinking about what's to come, a smile forms on my face. Little did I know, my life's going to be hell next year.
