Yes yes. This ThunderClan originally-warrior-apprentice-but-changed-to=medicine-cat-because-she-was-forced-to medicine cat's death is one of the saddest ones.

Cinderpelt got killed by a badger while trying to defend Sorreltail and her kitting and transformed into Cinderkit, which is later Cinderheart, and finally descended to StarClan when Lionblaze told Cinderheart the truth and the choice is Cinderheart's, not Cinderpelt's.
