I dislike him.

Well, I liked him when he was Ashpaw, but then, when he 'fell in love' with Squirrelflight, that's when it all changed. In fact, I don't even think it's 'love'.

When Squirrelflight started to hang out with him, he immediately assumed that they were mates. So when she went to Brambleclaw, he was 'heartbroken'. Did she ever admit that she truely loved him? No. So it was plainly his fault for thinking that they were mates in the first place.

So now, we have an Ashfur that is jealous of Brambleclaw.

Let's move on, onto Sunset. Remember when Firestar was caught in the fox-trap? Yep, Ashfur was included in it. First of all, he plotted with Hawkfrost, to bring Firestar to the fox-trap.

Now-now-now, before we continue, let's talk about their intentions. Hawkfrost's was to help promote his brother, Brambleclaw to Leader.

Brambleclaw's was to meet with Hawkfrost and kill Firestar as well but turned against him due to his loyalty to his Leader.

And Ashfur's the interesting one. I'd say that he is the most evil out of these.

Ashfur's intention was for Firestar to die, and then accuse Brambleclaw for Firestar's death. If Firestar truly died, killed by the fox-trap or Hawkfrost, or blood-loss, etc., then Ashfur would successfully probably convinced ThunderClan to kick Brambleclaw out. Now, without the Leader and Deputy, what would happen next? Ashfur would probably become Leader, and make Squirrelflight his Deputy. Now- let's pause. First of all, that shows selfishness. If he truly cared about Squirrelflight, he'd known better than to attempt to 'murder' her father, and frame her loved one.

But luckily, our loyal Bramble turned against his half-brother and Firestar lived.

Now, let's skip to Long Shadows, where the famous fire scene occurred.

That was when he admitted to being the traitor who plotted with Hawkfrost.

And, hold on- let's think about this sensibly.

Imagine your love had three children with another one. Would you try to kill them in a fire just only to hurt your love?

Well, not so amazing. First of all, if he did love Squirrelflight he wouldn't try to HURT her in the first place. I believe he only WANTED Squirrelflight to only be his own and no cat's else.
