*Spottedleaf's intro*
When I saw that curious little kit enter Thunderclan, I admired him. I mean, he had been a kittypet before! He seemed very interested when it came to me. And I realized, he was in love! I found it very silly at first but then, I realized that I felt the same way! I tried to keep it hidden because I knew medicine cats couldn't love. Sadly.
*Fireheart's intro*
I had earned my warrior name just a few days ago, and now Bluestar was wanting Graystripe and I to go on a mission to bring back Windclan. But what if I didn't return? There was a certain she-cat who I was wanting to see before I left.

Fireheart came into my den while I was sorting out my herbs. I was surprised that he'd come to see me, he and Graystripe were supposed to be going on a mission to bring back Windclan. I guess he'd come to say goodbye. "Hello, Spottedleaf," he mewed shyly. I nodded at him. "So, I'm going on that mission and I just wanted to say that I- I mean goodbye." he stuttered.

My fur felt hot at the embarrassing mistake I had just made. I looked down at my paws, feeling ashamed. Had she caught my mistake. Stupid mousebrain! I scolded myself. I dared to look up to see confusion in Spottedleaf's eyes, but I saw sorrow in her amber gaze.

What was he about to say? I asked myself. I had a suspicion but it was too good to be true of course. "Well, you'll need your traveling herbs," I meowed instead. "That's what you came for, right, Fireheart?" Fireheart laid his ears almost flat against his head and sighed. "No, that's not all I came for," Fireheart surprised me by saying this and surprised me even more when he added, "I love you."
*Fireheart's P.O.V*
There. I said it. I braced myself for anger but when she spoke, Spottedleaf's voice was soft. "Fireheart, when I became a medicine cat, I never expected to fall in love. But I would risk my life for you because..." she hesitated. "... Because I love you, too, Fireheart." she finished, her amber eyes glowing with warmth. She brushed her muzzle on his. "And now, I've made a decision," Spottedleaf left her sentence unfinished mad padded out of he den.

I headed for Bluestar's den with Fireheart following close behind me. Bluestar was in her nest, not asleep, but laying down. She lifted her head up the moment Fireheart and I entered, her piercing blue gaze resting curiously on me. "Yes, Spottedleaf, what is it?" she asked, sitting up. "Bluestar, I feel that it is my duty to serve my Clan as best I can. And I feel that the best way to serve it is to go with Fireheart and Graystripe." I answered confidently.

I never saw that coming. Spottedleaf wanted to come with us? With me? "I suppose you should," Bluestar mewed slowly, processing the thought. "Fireheart and Graystripe may meet trouble on the way, and a medicine cat could be useful. Thunderclan has Yellowfang to aid us while you are gone, and Windclan might need your help as well. Yes, you may go." Bluestar concluded. "I must announce this to the Clan." she padded out of her den and leaped onto highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath highrock for a Clan meeting!" her yowl rang out across the camp. Spottedleaf and I gathered around as well as the rest of Thunderclan. "Fireheart and Graystripe are going on a mission to save Windclan and bring them back," she began. "And Spottedleaf decided to join them."

Gasps and muttering erupted from the crowd of cats. "Who will act as medicine cat while she is gone?" Dustpaw yowled above the cats protests. "Of course it'll be Yellowfang!" spat Sandpaw. "Are we sure we can trust Yellowfang?" Mousefur asked suspiciously. "You can trust me, I promise!" Yellowfang hissed defensively. "Yellowfang will take Spottedleaf's place for the time being, for Spottdleaf has to make sure that Graystripe and Fireheart don't meet any serious injuries along the way. Windclan may also need her help." Bluestar meowed. "This is my final decision. This meeting is over." Bluestar finsished, jumping down from highrock. "I need to go get herbs to take and get us all traveling herbs," I mewed to Fireheart and disappeared into my den.
*Fireheart's P.O.V*
Spottedleaf padded into her den to get herbs when Graystripe bounded over to me. "I think it's great that she's coming with us!" he meowed excitedly. "If one of us gets injured, she'll be there to help us," I nodded and Spottedleaf came out of her den carrying leaf-wraps full of herbs in her mouth and she even attached them to her fur with cobwebs. She brought us traveling her and said, "Eat." Graystripe and I obeyed and gulped down the bitter plants. Spottedleaf did the same. "Well, let's go." Graystripe mewed cheerily. We set off through the entrance of the camp and left to find Windclan.
On the outside of the abandoned twoleg nest

The wind howled and the rain poured down hard. Fireheart and I were in the shelter of an Oak Tree's roots, along with five tiny bundles at my belly. "What are we going to tell Windclan and Thunderclan?" I asked Fireheart worriedly. "Well tell them that we found these kits mewling outside the nest," he answered simply, though I saw fear in his eyes. But I also saw love; love for me; for our kits. "What shall we name them?" I changed the subject. "This should be Hollykit," Fireheart nuzzled a small black she-kit with ginger patches. I nodded. "And this one Blazekit," I gently tapped at fluffy, fiery ginger tabby tom with my tail. "And this Cherrykit." I continued, nosing a tortoiseshell and white she-kit. "For this one, Russetkit," Fireheart nodded to a russet tom with white paws. "And finally, Moltedkit." I finished, pushing a tortoiseshell she-kit toward my belly.
*Fireheart's P.O.V*
I looked down fondly at my kits, thinking about their future in Thunderclan. Would I be able to train one of them as my own apprentice? Would Spottedleaf train one as her own? I knew Spottdleaf and I could never raise them as our own, but we would love them and care for them as much as we could. I planned to keep this a secret, obviously, even from Graystripe. But for now, I wouldn't need to worry about that. I have Spottedleaf and my kits, and that's all I'll ever need.
I really wish that these two could be together. Yes there is an age gap, but does that really matter in Warriors? Think of Pinestar and Leopardfoot! I just love these two together. It's love at first sight- literally! Spottedleaf shouldn't have died so soon.
