A half moon dragged by, Flashpaw's wound was slowly healing, Mystery was as strange as always, and Ivy often came to hang out with her and Flashpaw, the two cats frequently racing off, challenging each other on who could do what better. The two rogues usually did a fine job entertaining the ShadowClan apprentice, as well as annoying him endlessly. The young cat was finally able talk- more like annoy -Echo into teaching him some of her mixed clan fighting moves.
"Okay! Fine, I'll teach you a few of my moves if it will put a stop to your infernal blabbering." She groaned, the golden and white apprentice smirking triumphantly as she led him to a small clearing. Flashpaw panted as they walked along, but he showed no sign of stopping, his eyes set determinedly ahead of him as he padded on with a slight limp. Echo blinked against the bright sunlight as they stepped out of the shade cast by the tall oak trees.
She waited for Flashpaw to catch his breath before starting, "This is a fairly easy move that is a mix of RiverClan, and ShadowClan fighting moves." She explained before showing him the move, planting her hind paws firmly to rear up, slashing with sheathed claws at his muzzle, then ducked down to nip at his legs. "Now you try that on me, I won't dodge or anything just yet."
Flashpaw tensed his muscles, rearing up on wobbly hind legs to swipe at Echo, then ducked down to nip at her legs, backing away to ask, "Like that?" Echo nodded, then worked on steadying his stance when rearing up, teaching him a few individual moves from different clans.
"Okay, make up your own combinations of those moves this time, be ready because I'm not going to be as easy on you this time." Echo meowed, her eyes glinting a challenge as the two cats circled eachother. Flashpaw flinched toward her side, and she moved instinctively to meet him, but he faked her out and dove in to attack her other side. Echo dug her claws into the grass to stop herself short, rolling sideways and crashing into his legs.
Flashpaw grunted, tucking his head in a roll just before he crashed into the ground, both cats on their feet again. Echo rushed him head on, both cats rearing to wrestle eachother, claws sheathed. Echo strained against the wider-built young tom, hissing as she pushed him backward(RiverClan), whipping around to take her weight on her front paws, bucking her hind legs into his stomach(ShadowClan).
Flashpaw's heavy paws crashed down on her shoulders, her paws crumpling beneath her with a thud(RiverClan). Echo thrashed out her hind legs, sweeping his paws out from under him(ThunderClan), both cats leaping to their paws to circle each other again, waiting for the other to make their move.
*Mystery*
Mystery took a deep breath, letting his mind fill with images after images of the future, literally getting lost in his thoughts. One image distracted him from the others, he looked closer, making the image move as he watched the future event. Mystery's eyes flew open, immediately leaping to his paws, bolting toward where Echo was, bursting into the clearing. Flashpaw whirled around in surprise, and Echo's yellow eyes were full of concern, "Mystery, what's wrong?"
"Echo, RiverClan and WindClan are attacking ThunderClan!"
Flashpaw looked at Echo suspiciously as she said, "In broad daylight?! ThunderClan c-can get help from ShadowClan, I-I can't go back."
"Their blocking them from ShadowClan territory, your clan needs you Shadowspirit, you can't run anymore, you have always been destined to go back" He meow almost a growl.
Flashpaw was slowly piecing things together, while Echo shut her eyes tightly, opening them again, her eyes dark with determination, "You're right."
(I know the chapter is suuuper short, but a bunch of fox-dung is about to go down and its not gonna be pretty, but it is going to be intense, exciting, sad, happy, everything it'll be epic! I hope!
