Our names are Madison and Hunter Nova. I'm 18 and Hunter will be turning 18 in July. We live by ourselves. When I was 11, my mother (Liana) and father (Argo) were brutally murdered right in front of me. I went to live with my half brother, Hunter, and his mother, Ashlyn (We share a father). I was very depressed for a while and even tried to kill myself but Ashlyn stopped me. We lived peacefully for a while and I grew very protective over Hunter, even though he was only 4 months younger than me. We went out to a fair one night when we were 15. On our way home, we ran into the same man that had killed my parents. He pulled out a knife and killed Ashlyn right in front of us. The man smirked and ran away from the scene. Tears were streaming down our faces while we stared at Ashlyn. Hunter fell to his knees in complete shock on what had just happened before him. I pulled out my phone and called 911. I quickly told them what happened and they came to take Ashlyn away. From then on, Hunter and I lived alone. We still went to school though we both got a job to pay for food and rent. Hunter got the job of a waiter at Olive Garden and Madison got the job of a cook at Olive Garden.
