beomgyu shivered only slightly as he closed the door of the apartment behind himself, "i'm home." his eyebrows furrowed when he realized that his fiancée still hadn't come to greet him, "yue?" he heard shuffling down the hall, so he slowly began to make his way in that direction. he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, as it was so out-of-character for yue to not say hi to him.

pushing open their bedroom door, he looked in to see a heap of blankets on his bed, with a few stray tissues here and there.

"yue?"

her head slowly appeared from under the mass of blankets, her bloodshot eyes extremely noticeable, along with her reddish tinged nose and cheeks. "you're home?"

beomgyu was by her side in seconds, beginning to feel her forehead. it wasn't hot, so he knew she wasn't sick, "what's wrong?" she hid her face again, her loud cries echoing through the small apartment. he tried to shush and coo her, but his attempts were to no avail. standing up, he quickly made his way to the kitchen. if he couldn't fix this mess himself, he'd have to go to the next best thing: ice cream.

swinging open the freezer door, he pulled out the cookie dough flavored dessert, his eyes going wide as he realized it was empty. you've got to be kidding me.

beomgyu quickly slipped on his jacket again, grabbing his keys on his way towards the door, "i'll be back!"

once he got to the convenience store, he immediately grabbed the tub of ice cream, and started towards the cashier. but he stopped and lingered at one isle, looking down it in contemplation. after some debate. he grabbed the small package off the shelf, quickly walking towards the counter.

beomgyu avoided eye contact with the cashier, who just had to be a guy. the man chuckled lightly as he rung up the items, "problems with your girlfriend?"

"uh— no.. why would you think that?"

"well, it's not really common for men to come in and buy ice cream, and— this," he held up the package of pregnancy tests, before sliding them into the small black sack, "have a nice night, sir."

beomgyu nodded, embarrassed to no ends, "you too, sir."

"i brought you some ice cream," when her head peaked over the covers, beomgyu knew he had gotten her attention.

"cookie dough?" her soft voice asked, and beomgyu nodded with a smile, handing her the tub and spoon as she sat up.

"i also got... this other thing—" he fiddled with the handles of the black bag as he sat on the bed in front of her, "i noticed you've been more emotional than normal, a-and it's better to be safe and know—"

yue grabbed the bag from him, looking inside. her eyes widened slightly, "a pregnancy test?"

"well, i just wanted to be sure..." yue buried her face into her palms, the tears beginning to fall again. beomgyu began to console her, his hands rubbing gentle circles on her back, "what's wrong, baby?"

"i-i already took one," she explained between hiccups, "a-and it came back positive."

beomgyu blinked, staring down at the girl who stared back at him.

she cried even harder when there wasn't any reaction from him, "please don't leave me."

beomgyu grabbed her face in his hands, bringing it up to look at his, "i would never leave you, especially not over something like this. we're gonna start a family together! isn't that what we wanted?"

"b-but this fast? you're really okay with it?"

"of course. and so what if it's sooner? there are plenty of people who have kids at our age," he brought his hands down to her own, gripping them gently, "we're gonna be fine, i promise."

taking a deep breath, she nodded, "okay."

"how about a movie night, then?"

yue moved over for him, but continued to wear a confused expression, "don't you have work to do, though?"

"it can wait," he brushed it off, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "because you're my number one priority."
