Swamp Water Tree 3

"Woah!" Toto exclaimed in awe as her eyes trailed up the tree. "Now, that could be a problem..." Though she heard Winston from the top of the tree, she wasn't able to see him. He was hidden within the canopy of pink petals and branches.

Garlan stood beside her. With crossed arms, he made a remark, "Can you take anything seriously?"

"Can you take things not seriously?" She mocked.

From the trees, Winston noticed the seventh Siren in the backline. She was wearing a white blouse, and a white bucket hat that hung down to her eyebrows. Red strings ran along the trims of the blouse. He stroked the bridge of nose with the knuckle of his finger. That girl had yet to move this whole fight.

"Hey!" Winston called to Clary and Ian. They retreated under the cover of the tree. No rain passed through the thick layer flowers. The Wet icon faded out. Though Clary and Ian couldn't see, Winston pointed at the enemies and shouted, "Double up on someone and take them down one by one! The girl in white seems dangerous!"

Clary spotted the girl in white. "How about I just pummel her? She seems weak!"

"Not from this distance you're not!"

"Then let me tear them down in one shot!" Ian suggested.

"Are you sure?"

There was no answer. And Winston took the silence as a confirmation. He shook the branches causing the petals to pour down.

Ian darted to Isaac. Isaac panicked. He held his syringes with shaken hands. Ian opened his fan, feigned a strike, and with the falling petals, obstructed Isaac's view. Dirk dashed behind to strike. But Ian was waiting for it. Ian spun as if he was dancing. His fan severed the katana to the hilt, and his fist gave an uppercut to Isaac's chin. Finishing the spin, he kicked Dirk at the waist. Suddenly, Garlan joined the fray. He body checked Ian. Ian managed to parry the blow, skidding back on the wet grass. He shook off the pain on his fingers that took the full force. That was when he noticed broken needles were in his arm. Blood was slightly oozing out of the broken flesh. It was being washed away from the water. Slowly, he picked out the needles. His wounds quickly closed.

Garlan was impressed. Though Ian was a fairly skinny person, especially compared to Garlan, he could keep up with the chains of attacks. Garlan looked at the fallen Isaac. His long black, and wet, hair covered his pathetic face of defeat. Garlen then looked at Dirk. He recovered from the blow and had sheathed his blade, but had troubles standing still.

Garlan cracked his knuckles and his neck. Thanks to Clary, his gauge was three-fifth full, and he was getting cocky. His ability, Fair Fight, allowed his Accumulative Segmented gauge to be filled equal to his opponent's if his opponent also uses the same gauge type. Each segment gave him a defence boost and attack boost proportionate to his defense. He took the preemptive strike.

Ian knew he couldn't take a blow head on, and unbeknownst to the enemies, his 'sharp' fan only works on everything but flesh. He had a Consumption Singular Dual gauge. When full, his Dull Blade ability, enhanced his weapon at hand to the sharpest weapon if the thickness of his weapon is no thicker than half a centimeter. His active ability would disable that effect, leaving him wide open with no defenses, but in exchange, made a collection of his weapon choices to become sharp blades.

His window for choosing shrunk by the second. So, he decided to hold off the use of his ability, and parried the direct blow. Dirk struck from above, grabbing Ian's attention. Ian prepared to block as he felt Isaac holding his leg and injecting the concoctions. The blade and paper made contact. The blade broke once again. Dirk switched out with the charging Garlan. Ian quickly detached the pesky, persistent scientist. Just before he dodged Garlan, Lex appeared, making a roundhouse kick to the stomach. With Garlan and Lex at close proximity, Ian activated his ability. A flurry of petals flushed between them, and instantaneously, both the enemies fell to the ground, bleeding out.

Isaac yelped, crawling away from the dropped bodies. He cried, wondering why his concoctions were not having any effects on Ian. He continuously stuttered the word, "Why?"

Meanwhile, Clary was stacking up her gauge by smacking Kyle's trident with his amateur attack attempts. Her brass knuckles had evolved into punching daggers. Though his paralysis had no effect on her, the shock was draining her stamina.

Toto growled. "You idiot!" She directed the remark at Kyle. "Does the name Heaven Divider have no meaning to you?"

The seventh Siren walked up to Toto. "It's okay..." She said softly.

Toto released a heavy groan. With a calmed tone, she spoke, "Are you ready now, Serene?"

The white Siren nodded. Serene used her ability, Deluge. Rain stopped falling, freezing in place. Then, clusters of water formed around Serene. They merged turning into water rings, and quickly after they expanded and exploded, releasing a flood.

Clary and Ian ran for the tree. They started to climb. Unfortunately, the water caught up to them first, sweeping them under, and knocking them unconcious.

The water steered clear of the Sirens, forming a dome around them.

Winston witnessed the disaster. He clicked his tongue. "Looks like we are going all out now."

With a couple of breaths, he ran to the end of a branch and jumped. Just as quickly as he pierced the water to enter it, he dove right out above Toto. He slammed her into the ground. She feigned a cry, then smirked. A purple mist blew from underneath her. From caution, Winston hopped away.

Toto giggled as the purple mist expanded. Once it touched the water, the water instantly evaporated into the purple mist. Her Swamp Toxin made every water droplet turn into poison gas. "Checkmate." She smirked. Soon, the poison enveloped Winston.

"I agree," Winston replied.

The ground then shook. Roots ripped the earth, and wrapped themselves around the Sirens. Winston's Dual gauge for his Iron Will Tree feasted upon debuffs to become strong while removing them from allies. Activating his ability made his tree entangle and attack all enemies within range. And so, that was what it did. The tree sapped the stamina out of the Sirens. Once their stamina depleted, they disappeared.

Winston checked on his allies. Sadly, Ian couldn't hold out and disappeared. Clary was coughing out the water in her lungs. That was one battle for the Sakura Assassins.
