Alice and Otis stood side by side, huffing. They had trouble landing a hit on Reid. Otis refused to work with Alice. He simply attacked with no hesitation. Alice had to keep tabs on him, dodging the swinging hits from both him and Reid.

“Getting tired?” Otis mocked when Reid shot at a distant building.

“Fancy,” Alice said as she saw an eye piece materialize upon Reid’s face.

Reid kept a poker face. His insides were churning. His Light Beacon was the only thing that was keeping him safe. Lory surrounded the outside with her floating fish. Otis and Alice were free to move in and out of the barrier. Or rather, at the moment, his prison. The time limit for God Seeker was running out and he has yet to deal any damage on them.

God Seeker had three phases: 1) [Protect]: The first three shots would create a barrier, blocking all projectiles and lure in enemies who wanted to target the Warlord, 2) [Mark]: Similar to his regular ability, Moonlight, his arrows simply marked his targets without dealing any damage to them, 3) [Execute]: Once ten shots had been made, including the shots from [Protect], he switched weapons from bow to sword, and his archer attire transforms into a samurai’s attire. He could then teleport to his marks for the next two minutes.

Then, a loud crunch echoed from the next intersection. Reid’s eye looked past the two. His eyepiece granted him far vision, letting him see Hyde in the middle of his ability’s mess. Soon after, a teenager in a blue tee came over. Reid knew he wasn’t an ally. As he aimed for the unknown person, Otis threw a right hook. Reid dodged it. Alice came in with a kick. Reid parried it. He bit down on his teeth as he thought how to save Hyde.

“Where are you looking at?” Otis grunted. He kicked at Reid’s head. Reid bent backwards, his gaze fixed on Hyde who was now being choked. Alice jabbed her fist at Reid. He kicked it away. As she fumbled into Otis, Reid quickly took a shot at the faraway teenager. Alice and Otis ducked, thinking he was aiming at them. “Panicking?” Otis laughed. He threw Alice aside before charging at Reid.

Though he didn’t see it happen, Reid knew his arrow landed when his gauge was filled. He vanished, causing Otis ram into nothing. Alarmed, the three Sirens stepped back. Lory’s fish was now able to swim freely.

“Where did he go?” Alice muttered.

“The light disappeared,” Otis said.

“What light?”

“The wall of light we were running in and out of.”

As they were being confused, Reid had teleported to the arrows from above. He looked down. All he could see was a swarm of fish.

Lory’s Feeding Frenzy was a channeling ability. On use, the whole gauge would be consumed to summon a school of fish that exploded upon enemy contact. If it was raining, the amount of fish increased. The ability would last as long as she stood still.

Since attacking them was not a safe option, he teleported to Hyde’s attacker. Just before he did, Newt made a shot. The bullet followed Reid as he appeared in front of Luta. Luta jumped in shock. Reid skimmed the area for Hyde. He was too late. Hyde was gone. Angered, he sliced Luta in half. Then, the tailing bullet struck him close to his heart. The Bleed icon appeared. He needed to finish quickly before his Stamina depleted.

On the rooftop, Newt frantically uttered to himself, “Something is wrong. Something is off.” His eyes bolted to his gauge as it refilled fifty percent. He knew Luta had used High Tides, but didn’t know why. Luta used it too early. “Blossom! Are you sure this is the correct file? He is blinking left and right. His ability is way too complex-.” Newt went silent with fear, seeing Reid’s actions through the scope.

Reid targeted Lory. Appearing in front of her, the fish swam to him. Lory didn’t move, not because she wasn’t scared, but because she knew Feeding Frenzy would end. Reid took a few hits as he cut her. Lory and the swarm vanished.

“There he is,” Otis growled.

Alice flicked several raindrops at Reid. Before they could reach him, he flashed behind her. He dismembered her arms letting her bleed out. Otis roared with anger. Fighting, he kept up with Reid’s sneak attacks. He was able to dodge the blade from striking, but he was unable to land a hit. Lucky for him, Reid’s God Seeker was almost over, and so was his stamina--ten seconds left.

Reid gritted his teeth. The pain from the bullet was now surging from his chest. He changed his focus. He went for the sniper.

Hiding behind the ledge, Newt described the situation to Blossom, “He took Lory and Alice down within seconds. How-” Suddenly, he felt an ominous shiver. His head turned to see Reid standing on the ledge.

“So you were here,” Reid said unamused.

“What?” Newt chuckled, nervously.

With a downward slash, Reid severed both Newt and the rifle.

“Newt?” Blossom called through the earpiece.

“Well, damn,” Newt breathed as he disappeared.

Reid then went back to Otis who was on his toes, spinning about, ready to counter Reid.

“Stop hiding!” Otis hollered.

“Okay,” Reid responded, cutting Otis’s left leg.

“You coward!” Otis grunted as he toppled over onto his back. He stared at Reid from the ground. “I will you!”

Reid laughed. He swirled a drop of blood between his fingers. The rain washed it away. “I don’t think so.” His attire dissolved and shortly after himself.

“Wait! No! Don’t you dare!” Otis slammed his fist. “Dammit, Newt! I’m gonna kick your ass once this is over!” He turned on his stomach and started crawling out of the rain. He pulled himself up the assistance of a fire hydrant.

“Help me,” Alice pleaded weakly. She kicked her legs to move, inching towards Otis.

He ignored her. There was nothing he could do. Her Stamina ran out. She shrieked with anger as she vanished. Otis scoffed as he hopped away.
