chapter five fallen brother

 Richard and Jim went to the pub for a well earned night out and a toast to their fallen brother. They felt horrible that they couldn't save him. They both drank to him. The lager went down smooth and they started joking around and having a good time. Richard began making jokes about Daniels library date. After another round of drinks, Richard became very serious for a moment.

"Hey Jim, do you think there is someone behind these frequent demon attacks?"

"If there is, I'm sure we'll find out. For this night let us just be two drunken idiots at the pub, okay?" Jim replied with a grin.

Richard nodded his head in agreement and took a large gulp of his lager. Jim was right. The two of them spent the evening having a great time at the tavern, being  regular guys.
