The Legend of Madeline les Bois, Servant of the Lady: The Beauty And The Beasts
((By Robert Claus A youtube Comenter))
Madeline found herself once again providing much needed magical support against Morghur, though sadly Louis seemed to be a bit down. He was a righteous and noble creature, a paragon of purity that wished too smite the unclean. Keeping him from the front lines was hard but necessary. Her talents were far too important to waste on melee combat, and a well placed Dweller Below did far more damage than her waving her sword and staff about. Not to mention, she took delight in watching the land lash out against it's defilers by dragging them screaming, or bleating, beneath the surface of the earth, though she would need to purify those spots once the battle was done. She found that she had a lot of extra duties lately, healing the wounded, acquiring gifted children for the Lady, providing spiritual guidance, and handling all of the logistics of the Dukedom of Bastonne as Duke Bohemond continued to demonstrate that he was a horrible judge of character. The last man he had hired had tried to sell Montfort to the Dwarfs of Karak Norn. Just about the only acquisition that she could even come close to approving was the appointment of the Paladin Chilfroy to serve alongside the army, he and his family were competent and trustworthy, and somehow immune to the almost magical curse that was Duke Bohemond's bad luck with hired help. But she had drifted off with the thoughts for too long, as a group of beastmen had snuck up on her, with malicious and vile intentions in their hearts. What they did not count on was the virtuous unicorn Louis, who senses them when they got close, and sent them fleeing in terror with his piercing stare of purity. It was at this point that the chase was on, as Louis sought to punish the genuinely terrified beastmen, who were defecating themselves in fear after coming face to face with her unicorn. She made sure to heal and buff who she could as Louis chased after his prey. Being a damsel of the Lady sadly meant that she never got to rest, there was simply too much work to do.
