WARS OF THE 20TH CENTURY: FLEEING TO LIFE
Fleeing from my land
To find peace, to stand,
In a place far from here.
Just ten years in my hand,
Yet I grasp all that's unfair,
I can't understand why we bear.
I'll risk my life anew,
To hear laughter, to feel true,
To have freedom, a brighter view,
A reality that's more beautiful too.
I want to escape the screams,
Of fear and dread,
I refuse to hear them,
They feel like my own instead.
I must depart,
I have to flee,
To escape this hell,
And finally be free.
I can't be a coward,
I'll cross the seas,
To a better world,
To just be me.
