Carla pulled up outside of Emily's place and at seeing Jack emerge looking more than pleased with himself she had to laugh. "Hey stranger"

"Hey Carla. How are you? Happy New Year" Jack hugged Carla as Emily came out.

"To you too! I'm good. I don't think I need to ask you how you are. Back a little early aren't you?" Emily wrapped her arms around Jacks waist and knew this was how it was meant to be.

"Missed this one too much" Both girls made a gagging sound which had them all laughing. The sun was already making the temperature rise; once again the temperature was hitting the forty mark. "Didn't miss this heat though, a few days away and its hell to come back to"

"Hey what are you guys doing tonight? Jack has to go into work and afterwards we're going out for dinner with his brother. Josh was keen, wanna tag along?" Jack kissed Emily's cheek as his Aunty pulled up, waving to the trio.

"I'll see you tonight ok? Bye girls" Jack disappeared down the street with his Aunty and the girls headed inside out of the heat.

"Paul's sick, I thought he was still hung over from New Year's but it's worse than I thought" Carla headed straight to the pups as Emily went to make coffee.

"Man flu?"

"Yup! Oh I need them all, I want a puppy" Carla gushed, picking up the completely yellow lab looking one.

"Well come out then, he can look after Anna?"

"My thoughts exactly! Gosh, two Davies boys – if he is anything like Jack, Perth is in trouble" They laughed but from what Emily could work out he was definitely not like his brother. "Did you tell him about your new bakery?"

"Not yet, we were a little busy last night and he's busy today. I'll wait till later"

"Oh right, how you feeling this morning then?"

"Perfectly amazing!" Emily was practically glowing and Carla couldn't have been happier for her. She had known Emily for a long time and had never seen her like this. Out all the people she knew, Emily was the one who just kept giving everyone her all and never asked or expected anything back. She had held her family and Carla together after Scott died, had been putting up with Greg for so long and finally the universe was giving her something when she needed it. Ever since the first time she met Jack she knew he was going to change her life and he had in all the ways she could possible wish for.

"Why are you crying?" Emily stopped making the coffee as Carla put down the puppy to wipe her eyes. Emily was at her side in a second, passing her a tissue as she rested her hand on Carla's shoulder.

"I am just so happy for you" Emily laughed and gave her a hug. "No really Em, you deserve the happy ending"

"Everyone does Lala, god you've been emotional lately. You're not pregnant again are you?"

"No! Shut up. I take it back" Carla teased, moving to the kitchen as Emily finished making their drinks.

"You love me" Emily poked her tongue out and handed over the cup.

"You know we do, all of us do"

"Everyone is so sookie lately, I blame you girl" The dog sat on the tiles beside her new owner, looking innocent as to what she was being blamed for.

"Come up to my office babe, I just need to finish this report for Monday. Stephen, Josh and Gemma are here and they bought Rani along and some others I don't know" Jack was so glad Emily had phoned to tell him she was outside. They were meant to be meeting at five but of course, his Dad had put in the request for something to be done immediately.

"No worries. George is on the front desk so he'll let us up" Emily and Carla walked through the buildings foyer and smiled at the aging security guard at the desk.

"Here to see Mr. Davies?" George asked, accepting the hug from Emily.

"Sure am. How's your daughter going? Are you a granddad yet?" Emily asked quickly as he opened the elevator for them.

"Not yet unfortunately, had a scare a couple of days ago but I don't think it will be too long now!"

"I'll make sure I get you some more of those strawberry cupcakes she likes so much once bub is here!" Emily gave him a small wave as the doors closed and Carla just shook her head.

"Seriously, half the time all that is missing from you is the little blue birds dancing around your head. Do you ever not make friends? Someone has to not like you" Emily poked her tongue out again as they went up the six levels.

"Jack said Rani is here and she doesn't like me" Since Rani's attempt at Jack had been refused, Emily had been on her hate list for that very reason. The thought of him being with her still made her stomach churn and that night at the nightclub seemed like years ago, not months.

"Rani doesn't like anyone who doesn't have a dick" Carla muttered, ignoring the look Emily gave her as they stepped out onto Jacks level. Joshua's laughing guided them to the staff room and he stood beside Gemma, her sister Kayla and another girl Emily didn't know. Where was Rani?

"Jack is in his office with Stephen, funny bloke that one" Joshua laughed at something Stephen had said when they'd met and Emily nodded. Spying a bottle of wine on the table, clearly the pre-drinks were happening here.

"No worries, he knows we're here" Emily took a seat on the leather lounge, adjusting her short dress before sitting and started to talk to Gemma while Carla got herself some wine. Half an hour later, no one had turned up and Carla excused herself to find the toilet.

Walking down the corridor she peeked into one of the empty offices, checking out the view. From this side of the city, Jacks office was a little bit of the main streets and all of them rooms along this side had a clear view of the river and the sunset had sent the sky into an array of pinks and oranges.

"Beautiful" She whispered, the urge for the toilet taking over she quickly kept going. Down the very end was Jack's office and just off to the meeting room the sign of the toilet got her attention. On the way out she'd get Jack to hurry up but passing the meeting room, she never got as far as the toilet.

The moans from the room had her stopped in her tracks and while the blinds were closed for the windows, the ones on the door weren't completely down and looking in her jaw dropped before her vision turned to red. It was almost too cliché for her to believe it was actually happening and she couldn't look away from where Rani was on her back on the table and Jack was between her legs.

She was going to kill him. No, she would kill Rani and then Jack. Or maybe Jack then Rani. It didn't matter, they were dead. Her heart broke for Emily, Jack had really led them all astray and as she went to open the door she froze.

"Carla? What are you doing?" Turning Emily was coming down the hall. She couldn't let her see this. "Did you need help to find the loo?"

"Ah, um... I...." Emily heard the moan over Carla's stuttering and frowning she bent over slightly to look in the gap where Carla had just been and she was certain her heart stopped beating. Lacking the hesitation Carla had, Emily opened the door sending Jack onto the floor as he tripped on his dropped trousers and a scream from Rani as she tried to push her dress back down and her underwear up.

This wasn't actually happening. She was dreaming. She'd fallen asleep and had a midafternoon nightmare. The pair stood in shock horror, unable to speak as Rani stood from the table and finished fixing herself up while Jack recovered just as quick.

"Well this is awkward" Jack muttered, his face as red and Ranis.

"Awkward?" Carla snapped, he thought this was awkward!

"Girls, what's going on?" Jack appeared from his office and the pair turned to look at him as their jaws dropped which made him worry more. "Are you ok?"

"But..." Carla shut up, looking back at the other Jack who stood rather sheepishly, away from Rani.

"Oh fuck, come on Stephen. You haven't even been here for twenty four friggin hours!" Jack yelled as the shock of what she had just saw sunk in and Emily burst out laughing.

"You're right. This is awkward" Emily gasped between laughs and Stephen half smiled, nervously looking at his brother who clearly did not approve of that kind of thing going on in the meeting room.

"But..." Carla looked between the brothers. She knew Jack was a twin but this? "You're identical twins?"

"I wouldn't say that, I am pretty sure I am better looking" Stephen didn't miss a beat as even Jack let out a small chuckle.

"You wish" Jack snapped back, taking Carla by the shoulders he gave her a hug, knowing just how this would have looked. "But yes, identical twins. It was better when this one used to keep his hair different but well, I'd want to be me too"

Stephen ignored that comment, extending his hand to Emily as he came over she laughed again and turned away. "Not a chance of me touching that"

"Oh right, sorry"

"Um... can someone tell me what the fuck is happening right now?" Rani suddenly screamed and the others all came up from the staff room to see what was going on. "You're not Jack?"

"No, Stephen – pleasure" Stephen grinned and closed his eyes as the expected slap was served against his cheek. "Deserved that"

"But...." Carla was still speechless and Emily took her hand, kissing Jack as she passed.

"Come on, I'll show you to the toilets" Jack watched them disappear and looking back between Stephen and a furious Rani, he only shook his head. If Stephen had ruined anything with Emily for him, he would soon be an only child.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Carla demanded as soon as they were alone.

"I didn't know! The pictures I've seen they look nothing alike, well similar but not that kind of identical!" Emilys heart had finally returned to a normal pace and going back to the others Rani had gone and Stephen stood with Joshua laughing.

"Shall we try again, hello Emily" Stephen held out his hand and instead Emily hugged him.

"Hi Stephen" Carla did the same and the awkwardness left them all and finally they were able to leave the office and go to dinner. Emily stayed under Jacks arm as they caught the bus back to the main part of the city and like Carla with Emily, Stephen hadn't remembered seeing his brother looking so happy or with an actual girlfriend.

After dinner they found themselves at the bar they first danced at and sitting around the table the drinks were flowing freely. Stephen understood Emily's appeal to his brother, unable to stop the pang of jealously at seeing them together. He had no intention of settling down any time soon but maybe Australia would be the place to do it. Most of the girls in the group were easy to get on with, more relaxed and less pretentious than the ones he knew back at home.

The girls all got up to dance, leaving the guys to talk amongst themselves and Jacks eyes never left Emily as, slightly tipsy she danced with Carla without a care in the world.

"To think I once warned you to stay away from Scotts little sister" Joshua stated amused.

"It was Jessie Girl Syndrome" Stephen piped up, ducking as his brother went to hit him. "For months I had to listen to this one pine after that girl"

"Shut up Steve" Jack growled, more than willing to do it if he didn't' silence and Joshua only laughed at their banter.

But Joshua was right.

Back then he wanted Greg's girl and thought he'd have to live his life with her only as his friend and catching his eye, Emily left Carla with Gemma, Hayley and her friend Sarah.

"Wanna come and dance?" She asked, holding out her hand. In seconds Stephen went to take up the offer from the other side of the table and Jack was quick to slap it away.

"I don't dance" He teased, standing up.

"I've heard that one before and I know it's not true" Her eyes still held that same mischievous look that set his heart and certain other parts racing and dancing really was the last thing he wanted to do with her.

"Come on, she said. It'll be fun she said" He teased as she dragged him towards the center of the dance floor. She stood in front of him, everyone else forgotten as the Rihanna song filled the room. He didn't need to be able to hear what she saying as she sang along to the tune and bending down to her ear, he changed the words. "Cause you're the only girl in my world"

"God you're a suck up" She mocked, yet his hands were no longer scared of holding onto her hips, worried she'd think less of him for getting close to an engaged girl and the mass of warm bodies fell away until it was just them. Her hips moved with his in time to the beat and looking up she didn't have to ignore the feelings that she had been pushing aside since the day they first met and seeing Rani back with the other girls she didn't have to care what she thought or did either.

Jack was hers.

His touch still sent a shiver through her despite the heat between them, her hands free to touch as much of him as she wanted and as they kissed it was eager, desperate and his body was responding more than it should've been in such a crowded room. Lost in their own world they didn't notice the song had changed or the wolf whistles sent in their direction until Stephen bumped in between them and bought them back to reality. Emily's cheeks were flushes as her lust filled gaze had Jack willing to leave now and pushing his brother away, he regretted bringing him back with him.

"Two months until he leaves" Jack muttered, deciding to try and cool off, they went back to the table.

"He's fine, he's just like you" Emily laughed at the, 'really?' look Jack served with. "Only he's more...."

"Charming, amazing, good looking? Do I need to go on?" He teased butting into the conversation as he sat beside Jack.

"Annoying, man whore, younger" Jack snapped back.

"I was going to say confident but it's a little from column A and a little from column B" Emily teased.

"You're too kind. I think she's a keeper Jack" Stephen's jealously turned more to pride. As far as sister in laws go, he couldn't have picked a better one. You'd have to be blind and stupid not to think that wasn't where their relationship was going as far as he was concerned and spying Rani back in the crowd he wondered if he should try for round two but before that could happen, he needed another drink. Stephen got up to go to the bar and get them all another round of drinks while the pair enjoyed their moment alone.

"Hear that? I'm a keeper" Emily boasted, her face going even redder as he kissed her neck, her cheek and once again her lips. They wouldn't be staying for much longer, that was for sure.

"Don't worry, I know you are" Jack whispered into her ear, "And that's exactly what I intend to do"

"I love you Jack"

"I know"

"You're meant to say it back"

"I love you Em"
