Chapter 19 ~ Back To Base
Daithi POV:
"Hey, Tanner?" I asked my Madre.
"Yes?" she asked.
"Have you ever loved someone but they loved someone else?" I asked her.
She paused and sighed.
She nodded.
"How do you think I'm in this gang, Daithi?" she tried to smile.
I looked at her.
"I'm sorry."
She shook her head.
"No, he's happy. I'm happy. It could be worse." she smiled.
"In my case, it is." I told her, sighing.
"Luis." she said.
I nodded.
"I knew it." she smirked.
I grinned.
"But he was straight." I sighed.
She blinked.
"Somehow I knew he got hurt. Motherly instinct, I guess."
I nodded.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Why are we even a group? I mean, we could be adults right now, having a life, a house, job, a family. But instead we're stuck here." I said.
She smiled.
"Daithi, there are two ways to live.
One: You're accepting of yourself and everyone around you, and vice versa, or Two," she sighed.
"You're a reject from society and you fight every day to live. We happened to be born with the bad end of the stick. We were miserable. But we would be damned if we would be alone," she grinned.
I grinned back.
"We found each other, one by one, and that's what made us happy again, if you can't have a life, you can at least have a family, right?" she smiled.
"That's true." I nodded.
"How'd you find us, Daithi?" she asked.
"Fell in love with my best friend, got rejected by my other love interest, then followed my best friend like a little puppy." I told her.
Her eyes looked sad.
"We were successful in our careers, but he wanted to be more powerful and noticed, I guess. He felt invisible. He's never hurt anyone though, he just wanted to have family. He didn't want money. He wanted to be seen. And I wanted the opposite, even though I never really cared for money." I sighed.
"I'm sorry." she said, patting my shoulder.
"No, it's okay. My life is probably better now. I do have you guys. All I had before was a wanting to change people's lives without being hated. Yet I wanted to be invisible." I chuckled.
"You've changed my life, sweetie, don't worry." Tanner said, hugging me.
I smiled.
"Thank you, Tanner." I said.
"You're welcome, honey."
She called Z to find where they were.
"We're pretty close to them." she said.
I nodded.
"Daithi, listen to me." she said.
I looked at her.
"Someday, I'll make all your pain go away. Okay? You will be so happy. You'll change everyone's lives. You'll find your true love. And it will be as if you never remembered anything." she said.
I smirked.
"Yeah, I doubt that, Tanner."
She smiled.
"We'll rent a van and drive the rest of the way."
Z POV:
Two things on my mind.
One: The Great Rebellion.
Two: Their lives.
This is going to sound cheesy.
But I don't want them to remember anything.
I didn't want them to even know there were assassins.
Suddenly, I started to get concerned.
What are they going to do after the rebellion? Lives were going to lost.
They'd see all of this.
David would remember Calibre being gone for the rest of his life.
Vanoss and Delirious?
What if one of them were lost?
And Tanner?
What about Tanner?
She's so gentle and motherly, what is she going to do after this, especially if some of her "children" die?
And what if we could change all this?
Keep them from remembering?
Ever since I joined them, I've noticed that they're happy. But they're miserable that they have to live like this. And I don't blame them.
They could have a life.
Then I paused.
Keep them from remembering.
Swiping their memory.
Didn't we have something like that?
Didn't we have a device?
After hearing what Tanner said to Daithi over the phone in my Bluetooth, I started to think.
Maybe I could make everything better.
Maybe Tanner could be happy, too.
I sighed.
I'll talk to her about this.
But not about the fact of swiping her memory.
"Hey, Z, where do you want to meet?" Tanner asked.
"You know where." I told her.
She sighed.
"Man, the old times."
I smiled.
"Yep."
I drove to the place where my second life began.
The Hillside Prairies.

Tanner POV:
"My girl." I said, hugging her.
She hugged me back.
"My mother."
"Tyler." David said, hugging Wildcat.
MiniLadd stood, awkwardly.
"Sweetie, what are you waiting for?" I asked him.
He looked confused.
"You're a part of the family." Z told him.
Mini POV:
"I am..?" I asked.
That meant a lot.
Z calling me family?
I mean, the girl seemed downright vicious. But she was my friend, and I'd grown attached of her over the while, she had such a friendly approach.
"Of course. MiniLadd." she smiled.
I grinned.
Tanner:
He walked forward and hugged me and Princess.
"Welcome to the family, Craig." I said.
Tyler smiled.
We stopped hugging and I stared at him.
"Son?" I asked.
"Mother." he grinned.
"Come here, boy." I laughed and he hugged me, several inches taller than me.
"I love you guys so much."
I said.
"I love you, too." They echoed.
"We'll be home soon." I said.
They looked at me.
Z looked pityful.
"And that's when we'll go looking, okay?" I said.
They nodded.
We started home.

Vanoss POV:
I was constantly trying to keep calm.
My family, they're going to war.
We're going to suffer.
Others will die.
What if I lose them? What if some of them don't make it?
I couldn't stand losing Calibre.
I can't lose anyone else.
And Delirious.
If I lost Delirious...
I'd kill myself.
There's no way I'd want to be in a world without him.
He was the only person I absolutely needed.
The most beautiful person in the world.
I'd do anything to protect him, he deserves to live.
If anyone were to touch him, I'd make them suffer.
I'd travel miles for him.
I'd wait lifetimes.
And I'd find him somehow.
We'd always end up together.
"You're not fighting." I whispered to him.
He looked at me.
"What?" he asked.
"You're not fighting. You're not going out there. Jonathan, if I lost you-" I began.
"I'm fighting, whether you like it or not. And you're being selfish. Do you know what I would do without you?" he asked.
I looked at him.
"Nothing! I'd be completely lost, Evan. I'd be so alone, so miserable. I'd want you every single day. Either neither of us fight or we both do. We live together or we die together. I can't live without you." he said.
"Jonathan." I begged him.
"We're the leaders. We can't stay behind."
"Then we both fight." he said.
I blinked.
"Please."
"No, Evan. Please let me. I promise I'll be okay. Listen, we've been training years for this. We're so prepared. The number one gang. The most powerful, the biggest, the fastest, the smartest." he said.
"That doesn't help us when all the other gangs team up against us." I told him.
He sighed.
"Hello?" a voice said outside.
Brian and Felix stood up and sprinted outside.
He glared at me one last time before heading to them.
"I'm fighting, that's it."
I gritted my teeth and hesitated.
Then I rushed out to see what was going on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Still Evan:)
"Ohmwrecker, Bryce, and SeaNanners." I addressed them.
"Madre and Z sent us." Bryce said.
"Why?" I asked.
"We want to join your side." Nanners said.
"Very well then. You get to pick trainers." I smiled.
"Tanner." Bryce said.
"Ah, Mother." I smiled.
"Welcome, Nannette."
"I called Daithi." Ohm smirked.
"Clumsy, but creative," I smiled.
He nodded.
"He makes up for it. Welcome, my Nannette."
"And you, Nanners?" I laughed at his name.
"Can I train with Z?" he asked.
I nodded.
"If it's okay with Pewds."
Pewdiepie nodded.
"Of course. Welcome, my fellow Nannette." Felix grinned and shook his hand.
"They'll be hope soon. Right, Tanner?" I spoke into my Bluetooth, clicking the button.
"Yes, my son." she answered.
I smiled.
"Welcome my friends. Now, when they all get back, we are to find as many neutral gangs as we can, affirmative?" I asked.
They nodded.
Ohm shrugged.
"Why do we have to find more?" he asked.
"Because they'll team up with the other side if not. They'd help a lot. It's gonna be what keeps us alive."
They nodded.
"Evan, trouble." The line said.
Shit.
Z POV:
The Copperheads.
Steve, MattShea, Kpopp, Whiteboy7thst and Luca.
"Luca, veist harmé nohn mohnt."
I called to her.
Luca nodded and translated to them.
"Okay." MattShea nodded.
Alex grabbed Kelly and pulled her to him.
"Luca." Steve said, uneasily.
"No danger." Luca said.
They headed towards us.
"Luca. Long time, no see." I said to her.
"Z. Haven't seen you since before you were trained." Luca grinned.
They shook hands.
"Luca, you're aware that we're part of the number one gang in the whole country?" I smirked.
She smiled.
"Sure I do."
"Would you like to join us?" I asked.
"Why do you want us?" she asked.
"The Great Rebellion." I told her.
Her eyes widened.
"Who declared?"
"Phoenixs." I said.
She shook her head.
"They're nothing but trouble. Of course we'll team. We despise them. Besides, I'd never rebel against you anyways." she said.
I nodded.
"We're heading home. Hop in?"
They nodded.
We drove back to base.
I was met with my awaiting pupil.
