Chapter 6
Dear Mr Kang,
I hope this email finds you well. I'd like to have a little chat with you about Mingi's academic progress. I've arranged a meeting with you at 16:00 on Friday. I understand that I have dismissed you as a tutor but I would like to discuss some things.
Thank you,
Prof. Song,
Head of Cheongyang University
Yeosang switches off his phone and tosses it to the ground. Wooyoung, whose head is on his lap yelps and sits up, frowning upon seeing his best friend's unpleasant expression. "Why did you just throw your phone?"
Instead of replying, Yeosang covers his face with both hands and sighs deeply which leaves the others in the room to glance at each other in confusion. Yeosang's hands move up to grab his own hair, it's taking everything in him to not pull his hair and scream.
"Woah there, what's wrong? You were fine all this time" Wooyoung says, trying to free Yeosang's hair from his deadly grip.
He manages to get his friend to let go of his hair but Yeosang immediately crumples up into a ball with his head on his knees. "The head wants to see me again"
The comforting pats on his back pause as Yeosang's words register in Wooyoung's head. "Again? But he let you stop tutoring!"
"I don't know" Yeosang groans. "I have a meeting with him to discuss his son's progress"
"It could be a good thing? Maybe he's going to tell you how happy he is that you improved his grade" By the glare Yeosang gives him, Wooyoung guesses the email did not give that vibe at all.
"He already told me he was happy with me when I was dismissed! This meeting is definitely not about that" Yeosang wants to puke at the thought of meeting the head again. He has a feeling he knows what the meeting is about. There's no way he can face Mingi again after jumping on him at the club last month.
He has not seen Mingi since that day, and he is hoping to keep it like that. They have finished their deal, they aren't supposed to see each other again. It's too awkward for him.
Yeosang and Wooyoung leave Hongjoong's studio solemnly, Wooyoung trying to comfort his best friend by distracting him and going out to eat.
However, as soon as they leave the building they bump into two people trying to enter at the same time.
Yeosang's eyes widen as he looks at Mingi, who is also surprised to see him. On the other hand, Wooyoung is looking at Jongho with what anyone would say is an unreadable expression, but when Yeosang looks at his friend, he can tell that Wooyoung is upset.
All four of them look at each other in shock for a few more moments, before Jongho finally speaks up. "What are you two doing here?"
Yeosang and Wooyoung glance at each other in confusion. "This is a music studio, he's a music student. What are you doing here?" Wooyoung's tone is a little mean and defensive, while Jongho's is curious and doesn't mean any harm, but Yeosang understands why Wooyoung is acting wary around the younger.
The other pair seem odd, not wanting to answer the question. "We're just visiting a friend," Jongho says.
Wooyoung nods coldly and walks away, dragging Yeosang with him.
"Wait-"
They stop and turn towards Jongho, Wooyoung looking at him with a frown. Yeosang looks at him nervously, hoping his friend doesn't blow up on the younger.
"I messaged you a few weeks ago but you haven't messaged me back"
Yeosang observes Jongho's slight pout and then widens his eyes. He doesn't even need to look at Wooyoung to know that he's making the same expression.
"You- wait, you texted me?" Wooyoung gets out his phone immediately, double-checking his apps. "I never got any message from you"
"That's weird, I definitely sent you a text" Jongho gets his phone out too, and shows Wooyoung.
Upon seeing the screen, Wooyoung's face drops. "I gave you the wrong number... that seven is supposed to be a one"
Yeosang rolls his eyes. Trust his best friend to give his crush the wrong number then get upset that he got no message. The pair quickly exchange numbers again and double-check if it's correct.
He watches the pair, smiling at how happy his friend is now that the misunderstanding is cleared up. But, they are talking amongst themselves which leaves him and Mingi awkwardly next to each other in silence.
Yeosang wonders if Mingi knows that his father wants to see him again, maybe he's the one who told him that he wants to do the tutoring again. He almost scoffs, there's no way Mingi would ask for that himself, it's most likely that he has no idea.
Although, he is looking at Yeosang like he wants to say something. While stealing glances at him every few seconds, he looks a bit shy. Yeosang is trying his best to look unapproachable by refusing to make eye contact. It works because Mingi never ends up saying anything to him.
~
The next week comes too quickly because suddenly it is time for Yeosang to meet with the head... once again.
While Yeosang has been in a solemn mood all week because of this meeting, while Wooyoung has never felt happier. He and Jongho have been texting every day since last week, and Yeosang couldn't be happier for his best friend. It's just that Jongho is friends with Mingi and if Wooyoung and Jongho start hanging out, he's worried he'll bump into Mingi more often.
Well, he doesn't have to worry about that if he needs to tutor Mingi again. It would be his fault, not Wooyoung's.
Yeosang drags his feet towards the office, not ready to hear whatever he's about to be told. The security outside must also have been told because before Yeosang can even say anything, the door is being opened for him.
When he walks in, he sees the principal already talking to someone and Yeosang pauses, wondering if he came too early. He hasn't been noticed yet so he carries on walking but very slowly, trying to get the principals attention.
Luckily he sees Yeosang and stops talking to whoever that is sat in front of him, Yeosang cant see yet. Until they turn around and look at him.
Mingi is looking at him with wide eyes, and Yeosang looks back at him in surprise. This meeting has become 10 times more worse now. He has to stop himself from asking him what he's doing here so he just avoids eye contact for now.
"Ah Mr Kang, good to see you. Take a seat next to Mingi" Mingi's father says, pointing at the sofa where his son is already sat.
Yeosang gulps, so much for trying to avoid eye contact he thinks. He walks towards them with hesitant steps and ignores the stare Mingi is giving him. The taller clearly wasn't expecting to see him here, probably thinking he has a private meeting with his father, like how Yeosang thought it would only be him today.
"Good. Now that we're all together like this, I'd like to discuss some things" Professor Song takes a seat in front of the pair, his already intimidating presence doubling with his stern face. "Firstly, I'm very impressed with how well you helped Mingi improve his grade. However, his recent exam result was just like his other ones, and I think I know what you two were planning".
Yeosang bites his lip anxiously. Their plan is definitely obvious now that their tutoring is over and Mingi's grade suddenly went down again. His pulse races in fear, what if he's about to be expelled right now... in front of Mingi. Yeosang closes his eyes for a moment, waiting to hear the bad news. But he opens his eyes again at the silence to see professor Song looking at Mingi with a frown.
"Mingi, did you think I would just let you off if you improved your grade once? Just because you don't have to do tutoring doesn't mean that you can go back to your old ways". He says sternly. Yeosang steals a glance at Mingi and to his surprise, he doesn't look fazed. Maybe its not surprising. Yeosang wonders if Mingi has to hear these kind of lectures all the time.
Suddenly, the principal is looking at Yeosang now, making him shift in his seat nervously.
"Yeosang, I'd like you to continue tutoring Mingi until the end of the academic year-"
"Father!" Mingi groans. "You can't-"
"-even if I see improvements." The principal completely ignores Mingi's protests, only looking at Yeosang. His stare is cold and Yeosang just wants to run out of the room. Obviously he can't refuse so he just nods timidly.
"No! I'm not going to d-"
"Mingi!" The taller's complaints are swiftly cut of by his father and Yeosang winces at the lout voice. "Don't make me scold you while someone else is in the room". His tone is sharp and would make anyone else cower. But Mingi just groans and sinks himself into the sofa, hand on his head.
"I don't want to hear any complaining. You both are to continue with the tutoring" Yeosang looks at Mingi, trying to get him to fight back but the other shrugs apologetically. Even Yeosang knows there's no changing the principal's mind.
"Now, I expect to see good progress for all of Mingi's exams, otherwise your place here will be compromised, do I make myself clear?" Yeosang frowns but nods. He had a feeling this is what the meeting was about, his dreary feeling all week was accurate.
"Father, that's not fair. Why does someone else's rightful place here depend on my grade? Just let him go." Mingi says, trying one last time to change his father's mind.
"This is not up for discussion. If you care so much then improve your grade and Mr Kang here wont have to worry"
Mingi looks frustrated while Yeosang is trying his hardest not to tear up. It's already difficult enough to complete his piles of assignments, and now he has to figure out some plan to get Mingi to keep his grades up.
The principal wants to say one last thing to Yeosang in private so he dismisses Mingi. Yeosang winces at the door being shut, now alone with this evil man. His pulse quickens while he waits for him to say something, maybe threaten him some more.
"I'm just handing you a schedule of Mingi's exams throughout the year so you know when to prepare him, don't tell him I gave you this" He hands Yeosang a timetable. Luckily its not too full so they wouldn't have to meet too often.
Yeosang is shortly dismissed after they discuss the timetable but he doesn't expect to see Mingi waiting for him outside the office. He jumps when he almost bumps into the taller, not appreciating being scared after leaving the already scary office.
"Sorry about that" Mingi says, both about now and the meeting. "My father doesn't know when to stop, he'll do anything to get what he wants"
"It's fine, you tried" Yeosang says, glancing at Mingi, who genuinely looks upset. He starts to make his way out of the building and Mingi follows him.
"I figured he'd be one my case again once my grades went back down, but I didn't think he'd drag you in it again, I'm sorry" He places a hand on Yeosang's shoulder, probably trying to comfort him. Mingi is definitely not the one with the bad end of this deal, but he still feels really bad about not being able to save Yeosang from it.
"Its not your fault, don't worry" There's nothing either of them can do in this situation, Yeosang is just unlucky to have been the one chosen for this.
They carry on walking beside each other, Mingi just aimlessly following Yeosang and trying to make conversation despite how awkward they both feel with each other. They don't ever have conversations with each other, their interactions mostly being... physical.
"So, are you planning to keep sabotaging your grade?" Yeosang asks. Obviously he doesn't want Mingi to do that because then that means his scholarship will get taken away. But if Mingi agrees with the tutoring with their previous conditions...
"No way, I don't want to be the reason you get kicked out. I don't need that kind of bad karma on me, lets just carry on with the tutoring". Mingi stops walking, making Yeosang stop too. He looks at the taller apprehensively.
"By carry on... do you mean-"
"Yeah, I mean- if you're okay with that too. I'll just do well on my exams, you don't have to actually tutor me, but in return... well you know, like how we did last time".
"Yeah, okay." Yeosang just agrees. It's not like he's opposed to it, it's definitely better than if Mingi were to refuse the tutoring. Besides, its not like he didn't have a good time last time. Yeosang almost blushes at the thought that he'll be doing it more often under the guise of tutoring.
Mingi seems to consider something for a while before deciding to speak, turning to look at Yeosang fully. "Actually, I have an exam next week. So do you want to come to my house before then?"
Yeosang furrows his eyebrows, looking at Mingi in confusion. The exam timetable Mingi's father had given him showed that Mingi's next exam is in two months.
Could it have accidentally missed an exam? The only other explanation is...
Mingi lying to him.
Yeosang wonders why Mingi would lie about having an exam. Well, the answer is a bit obvious, having an exam meant that they needed to meet up for 'tutoring'.
"Sure, I'll let you know when I'm free". Yeosang decides to assume that the timetable missed an exam, for his own sake.
"Great, you already know my address so come whenever you're free" Mingi winks and walks away, leaving Yeosang to watch him go with heated cheeks.
Once Mingi is out of sight, Yeosang quickly takes out the exam timetable. Next week's one isn't there. He thinks hard of every scenario, but this schedule was given to the head of the school so there's no way it is inaccurate. Mingi definitely has no exam next week.
~
Yeosang decides not to bring it up and does whatever Mingi wants. He's honestly more flattered that Mingi lied about an exam just to sleep with him sooner.
Which also makes him slightly more nervous. Knowing that Mingi wants him... Yeosang snaps out of his thoughts, trying to act natural when Wooyoung walks into their dorm.
"You getting ready for steamy time with your big boy?" Wooyoung snickers and Yeosang rolls his eyes, telling him to shut up. Of course, he knows everything because Yeosang told him. Even about Mingi's lie, which he definitely regrets revealing.
Wooyoung had screamed so loudly when he found out, immediately claiming that Mingi likes him. Yeosang had brushed him off just as quickly though, claiming that he probably just liked him in bed.
"So? That's how it starts! Mingi likes fucking you, you're all he can think about, he develops feelings, and BAM- he's asking you out"
Yeosang had called him crazy, even if deep down he knew it could maybe be a possibility. But it would never work out, they are too different, complete opposites. Sure, Mingi probably liked having sex with him, but thats all it is, sexual feelings. Yeosang can't imagine dating Mingi, it would be too stressful and his parents would definitely oppose.
Mingi probably doesn't even like fucking him, he probably needs to release some steam and the easiest and quickest person to get is Yeosang, because it's not like he can say no (although Yeosang would definitely say no if he didn't want to).
Thats the excuse Yeosang keeps on telling himself all throughout his journey to Mingi's house. That he's the quickest person available.
But that excuse vanishes into thin air as soon as he arrives. Yeosang has no idea that every belittling thought he has about himself will be proven wrong the moment he enters Mingi's home, and that Wooyoung's prediction seems to fit more in this situation. But Yeosang doesn't know if he prefers that.
Yeosang mentally prepares himself for tonight. Usually this kind of activity wouldn't need mental preparation, but because of Mingi's lie, he feels pressured to act differently. Should he try and satisfy Mingi even more now that he has high expectations to live up to? Or should he purposefully be worse so that he puts Mingi off?
He sighs, wishing that he never got the exam timetable. After a few more moments of calming his nerves, he rings the doorbell and waits. Luckily he doesn't have to wait long in the cold before Mingi is opening the door for him.
"Hi-"
Yeosang barely gets a word in because Mingi swiftly pulls him inside, slams the door and connects their lips.
When his back hits the wall, it registers in his head that Mingi is currently kissing him senseless. Yeosang manages to move his arms, wrapping them around the taller's neck and opens his mouth, Mingi's tongue happily entering. He moans at the feeling, not realising he missed Mingi's touch.
He guesses the taller feels the same way, with how he didn't even bother with any formalities and kissed him straight away.
Mingi's hands explores his back while he kisses Yeosang skilfully, every touch making the shorter whine and ask for more. He presses him harder into the wall, his taller frame just engulfing Yeosang, which he finds extremely hot.
Being taller also lets Mingi tilt Yeosang's head up to kiss him deeper, tongues curling around each other's and Yeosang's eyes roll back, gripping Mingi's hair hard. The kisses are wet and deep, neither taking breaks to breathe so it makes it even messier.
Though both their breaths run out eventually and Mingi pulls away only to press slower, open-mouthed kisses along Yeosang's jaw. He squeezes his eyes shut, moaning whenever Mingi bites a sensitive spot.
His kisses trail lower down his neck, teeth scraping against the skin and Yeosang wants to scream. Everything feels too overwhelmingly good. His t-shirt stops Mingi from kissing anymore skin so he tugs at it, about to remove it.
"Wait- we're still at your front door, what if someone enters your house?" Yeosang says while out of breath. He glances at the door next to him, wondering what Mingi would do if someone walked in right now.
Mingi kisses him once more before answering, leaving Yeosang more dazed and distracted. "My parents are out of town, no one will be coming home".
Yeosang moves his hands from around Mingi's neck to rest on his waist. "So what? You're going to fuck me at your front door?"
Mingi laughs, kissing Yeosang slowly this time. "Of course not". He takes Yeosang's hand and leads him up to his room.
The second they enter, Mingi is on him again, pulling him close and kissing every part of him. He strips them both and leads the shorter to the bed, immediately climbing on top of him.
His arms are on either side of Yeosang's face as he leans down to lick inside of his mouth, making him moan. Mingi's touches bring shivers all over his body, making him grow more desperate by the second.
"I've been wanting to do this again ever since last month at the club" Mingi whispers into his skin, but avoids looking at Yeosang. "I've been thinking about this and now I finally have you again".
He cups Yeosang's cheek, thumb stroking his bottom lip so he can lean down and bite it, slightly tugging his lip then releasing it. "When I saw you at the studio then the office, I wanted you so bad".
Yeosang closes his eyes, not wanting to look at whatever expression Mingi has on his face right now. His heart and mind are going crazy. It's confirmed now that Mingi lied because he wants Yeosang and only Yeosang. This is dangerous. Luckily Mingi doesn't seem to mind and carries on whispering sweet nothings into his ear, while working him open.
Mingi's fingers skilfully get him ready, and Yeosang lets him do all the work while he moans in anticipation. His neck and chest is being decorated again with Mingi's touches. "You're insane, you know that?"
"Huh?" All of Yeosang's thoughts are clouded with Mingi's touches he doesn't understand anything coming out of his mouth.
"Everything about you" Mingi says, hands trailing all over his body and places slow kisses on his chest, abs and thighs.
Yeosang blushes hard, heart racing at the slower, more intimate touches. "You're not too bad yourself" he says, trying to lighten the mood a bit, not sure how he feels about the more intimate mood.
It makes the taller laugh, thankfully shifting the mood back to how it was and kisses him quickly.
Mingi fucks him even better than last time. Faster and harder. Yeosang moans more loudly, nails clawing at the taller's back, probably leaving some marks, toes curling at the intensity of his thrusts. Mingi fills every crevice of his insides, leaving no room as his prostrate is hit with every thrust.
His orgasm is so intense that he almost blacks out with the high of the pleasure. He knows Mingi feels the same because his last thrust is shaking and he pulls out with a moan, immediately dropping to the side so that he doesn't crush Yeosang.
They lay there for a long time, both trying to catch their breaths and recover from the insane amount of pleasure. Yeosang makes the mistake of opening his eyes because he finds Mingi looking at him, but he's unable to read his expression.
~
When Yeosang arrives home that night, Wooyoung is already waiting for him, ready to pounce at him.
"So! How was it with him for the second time?" His best friend follows him to his room, wanting to know all the details.
Yeosang sighs, wondering if he should tell him. It's not like he doesn't tell Wooyoung everything so there's no point in hiding.
"There's a possibility you might have been right about Mingi"
