Harry Potter, the boy who lived's intelligent answer to Percy's question was: "Uh...."

"What are you?" Percy asked again, narrowing his eyes. Harry had to admit, the guy could look pretty scary when he wanted to.

"Wizards," Hermonie said, stepping up to the plate for Harry, "wizards."

Percy, Annabeth, Alice, and Luke burst out laughing.

"Yeah right, you're 'wizards'. Gods, you must be just mortals who can see through the Mist."

"We're not lying!" Ron exclaimed.

"Sure you aren't." Percy patted him on the shoulder. He, Annabeth, Luke, and Alice turned and walked across the border to camp.

"Wait!" Harry called, trying to follow. He slammed into the border, and fell down. Rubbing his head, he got up to his feet with the help of Ginny.

"What happened?" Ron exclaimed, as Hermoine carefully viewed the camp bellow from behind the border.

"There's an invisible wall. It's like the second year when I couldn't get to Platform 9 3/4," Harry explained. From across the border, Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"It's meant to keep out monsters and mortals," she explained.

"But we're" not mortals, we're wizards!"

"Yeah, and I'm part Pegasus," Luke joked.

"Technically Percy is, because his dad created- ya know what, never mind," Annabeth said, to all the blank faces she was getting.

"We're not kidding," Ginny said, trying to back them up while being as deadly serious as possible. Percy scoffed and crossed his arms.

"Do you swear on the River Styx that you're wizards?" The group looked confused. They didn't know what this 'Swear on the River Styx' thing was, but the demigods seemed to take it pretty seriously.

"We swear in the River Styx that we are wizards," Ginny nodded. Thunder rumbled in the distance, even though the skies were blue and cloud-free.

"You're as good as dead now. Everyone knows you can't lie with the River of Styx oath," Luke said, Percy nodding in agreement.

"We're not lying," Harry insisted. The Demigods wouldn't hear it.

"How about this: we'll explain to you everything, than wipe your memory with Mist. You can do that, right Alice?" Annabeth offered. Alice nodded. Annabeth turned towards the wizards, silently enforcing her question.

"I don't kn-" Harry started.

"Deal!" They all turned towards Ginny, who had confirmed the trade, bewildered. Annabeth smiled a toothy grin.

"You all must be starving. How about a lunch?"

In the blink of an eye (or less), a blanket and basket of food were brought out on Half-Blood Hill, right outside the border. As the group snacked, chatted, and explained the workings of a demigod world, Harry and co would throw in innocent statements to prove that they really were a wizard.

These statement's included: "Oh, I think I fought something like that before." or "Don't you mean a hippogriff?" The Wizards didn't dare use magic to prove themselves, as they still hadn't graduated 7th year and were forbidden to do it outside of school. When this was brought up, Luke had rolled his eyes and muttered, "How convenient."

By the time the little picnic had ended the sky was beginning to grow dark and they still had to wipe the memories of the wizards, than send them on their way. As Annabeth walked away to find either Alice or a Hecate kid, Percy and Luke had a quite conference.

"I know we both have our doubts, but who carries a fake wand around in their pocket?" Percy asked.

"Annabeth wouldn't like it," Luke countered.

"She would bury both of us six feet in the ground," Percy agreed. Luke was confused.

"So we're not helping them?"

"Oh we're helping them." Luke grumbled a reply.

"I can probably sneak them out?" Percy looked confused until he explained. "It's a perk of being a Hermes kid, almost invisibility-camouflage when sneaking around." Percy did a double take, looking at Luke weirdly.

"Your kidding."

"Do I look like I'm kidding?"

"Um this is all nice but how-" Ron started. They were quickly interrupted by loud screeching. The whole group looked up at the sky, which was quickly growing dark, barely able to make out the dark shape darting between the trees, creeping up on them while soaring overhead. Luke squinted, as did Percy.

Once he had spotted it, he sucked in a breath.

"What is it?" Harry asked, wiping the lens of his glasses so he could see better.

"A gryphone," Percy muttered, uncapping Riptide.

Luke Castellen was hoping for a normal day after he escaped the Underworld. After all, crawling up from Hades takes a lot out of a person. There was the matter of the mysterious figure who helped him... who said that he would soon owe a debt. That might be a good thing to mention to Annabeth sometime, but he figured he didn't have to tell right at the moment...

He didn't know what the deal with Thalia was though. She constantly had her hand up on her head, as if expecting something to be there. Moping around, he saw her a couple times when she first came (and when he was hiding so he could surprise her), lamely shouting arrows at stuffed targets in the arena.

He was worried about his friend, and the one girl he may or may not have a crush on.

But now a gryphone just had to be attacking camp, and he just had to be in the middle of it, and chances were that a monster attack at the borders would draw Annabeth in and she would see they were helping the wizards escape, and then she would be extremely ticked off and he would loose their trust. Gods, he was just not sure about this.

"What, you plan to get that... that thing from here?!" Harry yelled. Percy held Riptide like a javelin.

"That's the plan!"

"Percy-" Luke started. He stopped me.

"Luke, none of us are archers. This is the best option." With that he scampered up one of the many trees near the border, and took a flying leap. All breaths were held as Percy came to land on the gryphone's back.

All of them cheered as Percy rode the gryphone around like a horse, not letting it shake him as it bucked back and forth. Actually, the scene reminded Luke of one of those mechanical bull things you put a coin in and ride.

Finally, Percy yelled one final battle cry, held Riptide to the gryphone's throat and decapitated it. But as it dissipated there was one thing Percy didn't factor in.

Once the gryphone was gone, there was nothing to catch him.

So Percy fell, down down down. Luke and the rest of the group rushed over as Percy lay on the ground, motionless.

"Styx..."
