"Alright guys, this guy is sneaky, we need to be more sneaky, who knows what he might be doing." Jerome told them. As they went in the alley, Waluigi started floating.

"How is he doing that?" Rosalina asked. Jerome shrugged.

"I don't know, he doesn't even know, he just has it." Rosalina just stared at the purple detective. "The poor guy just feels alone, he just wanted to know how it feels to be loved, but he didn't get that feeling, he actually got the opposite, it made him feel frustrated, it made him feel hatred towards the brothers, he especially hated Luigi, ever since the fight." Jerome said.

"The fight they had two days ago," Rosalina said.

"Oh no, I don't remember much of it, but Waluigi is the one with the brains, he can tell you everything," Jerome said.

"Hey guys, I got the hatch opened, c'mon up," Waluigi whispered in a walkie-talkie.

"We'll be up in a moment," Jerome said. Jerome put the walkie-talkie in his hidden pocket and climbed up a ladder. "Also, I know this is weird to say, But could you please, heh, try to fill up his heart," Jerome said. Rosalina was confused, what did he mean, what was he trying to tell me?

"Your such a great friend to Waluigi, why does he feel so lonely," Rosalina asked.

"Ever since he meet the brothers, everyone treated him like garbage, even Wario did, until I came into the picture, without me, Wario wouldn't even had stood up for him after that fight."
Rosalina still wondered, if he has such a great friend, why, she felt like that wasn't the reason.

"Took you guys long enough, now lets go," Waluigi said. They jumped down the hatch, and were in the vents, as they heard a voice, they looked and found the toad.

"Ok, I'm going to be the bad detective, you be the good detective," Jerome said. He stomped in the cent and fell in the room. "Alright Henry, put your hands up, where are the lumas, and what are you going to do with them?" Jerome said.

"Whoa, whoa, whao, hold on a second," the toad said frightened.

"Tell us you son of a-" Jerome was paused by Waluigi.

"Wait right there Jerome, first of all, language, and let him him speak." Waluigi said. Jerome just flared at the scared toad, then but the gun down.

"Fine, but just this once," Jerome said.

"I guess they are good detective and bad detective," Rosalina thought. She started laughing at the thought. Waluigi looked at her, smiling.

"Are you two like a thing, or something?" Henry asked.

"Hey, we ask the questions around here," Jerome said.

"Ok, I'll tell you what you want, but the questions you did ask me I don't know of, I'm just one of his minions," Henry said. "I'm forced to do these awful things, or else, I wouldn't exist anymore," Henry said.

"Can you tell us anything about your boss?" Rosalina asked. Waluigi was shocked to hear this, he was about to ask that. He started to feel something inside, like he could make  a new friend, maybe even more than that.

"He doesn't like to show his presence, he just talks in the shadows, all I'm saying is he's probably well known," Henry said.

"So it's a he," Waluigi said.

"Yes, the boss might be a he," Henry said.

"So, the boss is a mechanic, the boss probably is male, and he's smart." Waluigi said.

"Well, the boss isn't that smart," Henry said. "You should go talk to Ashley, she knows a lot more about the boss than anyone," Henry said. Waluigi gasped at that word, Ashley.

"Thank you for this information, Henry," Waluigi said.

"Wait, there's one more thing," Henry said.

"What is that," Waluigi said.

"Please bring justice to me," Henry said. All of a sudden Henry dissappeared, and all was left was a microphone, and a little squared machine, Waluigi took a closer look.

"An evaporator," Waluigi said. "His boss evaporated him."

"He killed one of my friends," Jerome said. The room was silent for a second, Waluigi pat Jerome on the back.

"We'll bring justice to him Jerome, don't worry," Rosalina said to him.

"Yes we will, let's go see Ashley," Jerome said as he walked out of the room.

"Wait Jerome, Pauline wanted me and Waluigi to go to the hotel for something," Rosalina said.

"Fine, I hope you have a great time," Jerome said. Waluigi looked at Rosalina, Rosalina looked at Waluigi.

"You want to walk, or drive," Waluigi asked.

"I would like to walk," Rosalina said. They started to walk to the hotel, then Rosalina said something,"Waluigi, I've been meaning to ask you something," Rosalina started to breath, Waluigi wanted to hear what she wanted to say. "What did Jerome do to become great friends with you, why are you feel so lonely?"
Waluigi was surprised.

"You, actually care about me," Waluigi said.

"Why wouldn't I, you're handsome, cute, and such a gentleman when it comes to your friends and family. I don't understand why your so hated." Rosalina said.

"It's my fault, my anger got to me, my anger always gets to me, because of me, I'm hated, and I regret it," Waluigi said.

"At least you can say when your wrong, unlike most men I know," Rosalina said. "But what about the other questions I asked you about?"

"Jerome, he was the only one that believes in me the whole time, even when eveeyone else didn't, he stood up for me, told everyone the great things I've done when I was a kid, which made Mario and Peach realize who I really was, that's how me and him are great friends," Waluigi said.

"So, Jerome was your hope during that time," Rosalina said

"I guess so," Waluigi said. "Also, the other question, I've kept this a secret to only me, not even Jerome, because he'd tell everyone, and they'd not like it. The reason is because I keep being yelled at like I'm some child, I'm sick of people telling lies, I'm sick of being stabbed in the back, I'm sick of," Waluigi paused for a moment,"no one loving me." Rosalina looked at him, she felt sorry for the guy, trying to do the right thing to gain love, but getting the exact opposite, kind of what Jerome said, she realized what Jerome meant. Rosalina turned to Waluigi and said these words.

"I'll make sure no one will hurt you ever again." She hugged him and tears went down her cheek, and Waluigi started tearing up as well, and hugged her back.

"It looks like you guys got along even before I wanted you guys to meet." Waluigi and Rosalina turned to see who it was, it was Pauline. "I'm glad your getting along so well, come in," Pauline said with a smile. They went in the hotel, and started to have dinner, porkchop, broccoli, and mac & cheese with lemonade.

"So how's the investigation going, I hope it's swell," Pauline smiled.

"Oh, , we've got a really good hint, the kidnapper might have a mechanic, or even be a mechanic," Waluigi said. Pauline dropped her fork.

"Sorry, that was an accident," Pauline said. She got the fork and sat back up. "So, this kidnapper is a mechanic." Pauline seemed very interested in this one piece of evidence.

"He might be, I just hope that it's enough evidence to find the kidnapper," Waluigi said.

After the dinner, Waluigi and Rosalina left with Jerome to see Ashley, then Pauline left the hotel, and across the street, into the alleyway.

"Well, hello my partner, what is it you want," said a man in the shadows.

"You, you're the one that stole the lumas, why would you do this." she glared at the man in the shadows.

"That is none of your business, not go before I do something that I might regret." Pauline sighed, and walked away.
