I wandered around, looking for stuff I guess, I don't know where it came from or when it was made but I love collecting things. It's just laying there and I haven't seen anyone in a very long time, well other than my dog. He's a brown short haired beagle, I call him roach. But before I can go collecting, I have a job to do.

I need to collect a bunch of trash and compact it into perfect squares and then stack them into 138x138 towers. I don't know what happens after that, to be honest I don't even know why I do it. It just feels natural to me, it's my directive.

"That should be enough for today, Come on Roach!" I call. I've met my daily quota today, now it's time for some scavenging!!

Wow!! Look at that, looks like one of those hats from the video at home!!! I stored it in my little bin I carry around. Roach jumps on me excitedly. "I know buddy!!! What a lucky find!" We found some other cool stuff and began to walk back home. Passing by all the old pre recorded advertisement.

"Bark!!Bark!!" Roach started tugging at my boots. They're very worn out. The outsole of them has noticable tears and rips in them. Hmm, that's no good, I might cut myself on something if I don't find something else. I search around for a replacement and find an empty work suit that looks just like mine. This isn't anything out of the ordinary, there are lots of suits lying around randomly. There mostly all torn up but there's always parts that can be salvaged. Like the boots on this one. They're always a perfect fit too, that's the weird part about it.

We finally make it home and I pull and the draw bridge style door opens up. I turn the light on, take off my boots and mask, put some food out for roach, started the video and then started storing all the stuff I found today. Now I don't mean to brag but I built that screen myself, along with this rotation shelf system. Pretty nice if you ask me.

I put away the colorful pre made cube, then another shiny rectangle, and another spoo- for- well I don't know where it lies so I'll put it in the middle. I then go to put away my new ha- Woah...

I see a man and a woman singing to each other about something. It interests me. Love they call it. It looks... it looks... well I don't know what to call it but I feel like I need it. I wanna hold hands with someone special too...

I record the song they sang on this sound recorder I found a while ago. It's very useful, I listen to songs while I work thanks to this thing.

After I finished recording, I went outside to dust off my bin and caught a glimpse of the stars, I rarely get to see them due to all the dust in the air, it's so blu- BEEP BEEP BEEP

Speaking of dust, there's a big cloud headed my direction according to the radar on my tool belt. "Roach! Come inside!" He obediently follows and I close the door behind him. "Such an good boy." I give him a little pat on the head and as I lay down in my hammock, ready to rest after a hard day's work. I give myself a little swing and drift to sleep.

The next day I groggily wake up due to the sound of my alarm. I wish I never found that thing. "Ouch" I hit my head on a shelf. I go to lazily put my boots on a get ready for my day.

I go outside and let the sun hit my face. Ahhh, I suddenly feel very energized. I get a breath of fresh air and I am now ready to begin my day. "Alright Roach, lets go!!!" Woof!!

My day continues as any other day would. Cubing trash and then scavenging. There was some good stuff though. I found an eye mask that blocks the sun, a squeaky thingy that Roach seems to like, a fancy blue box, and a button that made a noise in the distance.

There also was some not so nice things like a board with a ball that hit me in the face, and a large red cylinder that pushed me to the ground. I swiftly threw that as far as possible.

But there was a hidden gem in it all. There was a large steel container that wouldn't open, so I had to cut it with my laser cutter. And there was a little green sprout in the dirt. I scooped it up and put it in a nearby boot that I saw lying around.

In all it was a good day so we went home. I went up to the door but then I saw a glowing red light on the floor, I don't remember putting it there.

I opened the door, set my bin down inside and went to pick up the light but it moved. I followed it and I moved again.

"H- hey!" I walked over to it and it went faster, and so did I.

I raced it down a broken road, dodging the cracks and holes so I wouldn't trip up. This thing is fast but I'm not giving up, I stumbled a few times but kept my pace for the most part. I followed it up a small hill that led to a very flat plateau. It went in circles a few times but I finally caught it! I did it!! YA- huh? I looked down and noticed that more red lights appeared and surround me. Were they mad at me?!

I heared a rumbling and looked up. There were three very big bright lights and they were getting closer, and hotter. "AHHH!!!" I tried to escape but the light touched the ground Infront of me, scorching it. I turned to the right but the same thing happened. Then to the left only to meet the same result. I went diagonally and slid down the small plateau. Barely escaping the heat.

Once all the dust settled and the rumbling sound stopped, I peaked my head over the edge of the hill.

It's some kind of space ship, like the ones in the advertisement but a lot smaller. Heard a hatch open and hid again.

There was a blue light that scared the ground Infront of it and then gently deployed a perfectly white pod. I got a little closer so I could take a look. The pod opened and then. pssshhhh

It was a person. A real person walked out of there. I was a mixture of shock, fear, and excitement. I was going to come out of my hiding place to say hello but then they took there helmet off.

I was speechless and yet, there she was. She tapped her visor and started scanning the ground. S- she looked... she looked... Wonderful
