chapter 3

"She needs to eat" Leah whispers to Arkin who was leaning against the door of Enchessa's room "indeed" "but how, she doesn't want to, she doesn't sleep or drink any water, bad nutrition is fatal" "maybe that's why" Leah's eyes widened "she wouldn't" "it's Enchessa, she would" they both stared at her, watching her do nothing but breathe and stare into the fire place that she keeps running through her magic, draining it "Enchessa" both Arkin and Leah turn their heads to the king "your majesty" Leah curtsys with a nod of his head "father" Arkin spits out in pure disgust "move" he shoves his son out of the way "pack your things, we leave at once" she didn't do anything, no signals, not even a sign of life, her skin paler than usual, eyes droopy and filled with no emotion "I speak to you, you understand" again, no movements "I SAID DO YOU UNDERSTAND!'' "Yes" her voice was so quiet, not filled with excitement or enthusiasm like it used to.

"Good" he walked off not caring that his daughter was perishing by the day "Enchessa" Arkin was kneeling in front of her "come on, you need to eat something" "I'm fine" no she wasn't, her voice croaky and hoarse "please eat something, you'll die" "better that then this" Leah gasped, holding back her tears as she covered her mouth with her hand, just watching her friend act like this was breaking her heart "please" Leah cried rushing to her side, being from Vanaheim eating less or ignoring life kills you quicker than anything "do this for me" she held out a plate of food she had the maids prepare especially for her frail body "not hungry" she was indeed starving, hungry couldn't describe the way she was feeling for the past week or so "please Enchessa" Leah was crying by now, incapable of holding her tears any longer, but she just shook her head and turned it back to the fire place that was barely lit.

"I have to pack" Enchessa stood up, only to fall forward into her brothers arms, unconscious with no sign or living life "ENCHESSA!" Her brother cried.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She had spent yet another day at the infirmary getting the right fluids back into her system "will she get better?" "Only time will tell my prince" it was Astra the palaces' best known healer "I will leave you be" she left leaving Arkin and Leah in a state of almost depression. "What have you done" his head looks up to meet his fathers gaze "what have I done, you did this to her!" He yelled "how dare you accuse me" "I haven't accused you father, I simply state the truth" he looked over to his daughter who lay resting on her bed, sleeping with the help of Astra's spells "what's done is done" he pointed over to Leah "pack her things, we leave tomorrow morning at dawn" Arkin was beyond furious, who did he think he was, almost causing his own daughter to kill herself, to give up on her life she long yet to live...no he wouldn't allow it.
"Go pack her things" "what" Leah looked at Arkin with a shocked expression "I said go pack her things" "but-" "just do it" "yes my prince" she gave a small curtsy and left to pack all of Enchessa's things, meanwhile Arkin was holding her hand "he will pay, I won't let you marry a man whom you haven't known or love... I promise" he leaned forward and kissed her forehead before leaving to gather his things 'if I can't stop her marrying, I'll stop the man' he thought to himself with a wicked smile 'no one will know'.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Where am I'' Enchessa opened eyes regreting the choice immediately "oh your finally awake" "where am I" she repeated "you in the infirmary'' "Leah?" "Yes it is me" "you alright" "if I'm alright? Princess you should've seen yourself, you were at the edge of death" then she remembered "oh that" "come on, the king waits for you" "why" "your leaving" "to where" "to Asgard'' "what!" "T-to Asgard" her friend knew better to be near or next to Enchessa when she was in one of her moods "why there of all the Nine Realms".

She let her head fall back onto the pillow relishing the softness and the smell of roses that filled the room, 'my favourite' she thought as she smiled 'too bad I'll probably never smell it again' her smile faltered into a frown "what's wrong" her friend had walked closer to where she had been resting "the thought that I might never see this place again" she looked at Leah "or you" "don't be like that" "how can I not be, I'm living a life designed and made for me, that's not life" "my own father" she choked on a cry, thinking whether or not she will see her family or friends again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I have to go now" Enchessa stared down at Leah from the steps of the carriage "promise me you'll come back" "I promise" she had every right to think she'll be coming back, 'highly doubt it' she thought, just the thought of leaving and being able to see anyone again brought tears to eyes and big stab to her heart, family was everything to her.
They were all siting in the carriage, driving to the spot that Heimdal the Seer and Gate keeper of the Nine Realms would transport them to Asgard; the city of gold and pure royalty 'pure idiots' Enchessa thought to herself, laughing at her own joke and earning a hard glare from her father. Clearing her throat she stared out the carriage, enjoying the last scenery or the last glimpse of her home that she'll ever get 'why must fate dislike me?' this was often a question that popped into her head from time to time, moment from moment 'I'll never know' "we're almost there" she looked across to her brother with tired eyes, the time that had so unpleasantly passed was very difficult for her, for 'entire' being to put into a few words. 'Why?' was another question that appeared out of the ordinary most often than not.
[A/N: So bit of a boring chapter but it will get better.]
