Chapter 23
---
She latched onto him as he carried her all the way to the cabin. Resting her head onto his shoulder as small sniffles escaped her crimson tinged nose. She hugged herself closer to him as he created a little bubble around them so they wouldn't get soaked from the rain "Are you okay?" He asked sincerely as she curled up, she was still mad at him for leaving her there and no way was she going to forgive him that easily.
Letting out a huff of air, she ignored his question before closing her eyes and relaxing into him as she freezing from the cold weather. Even though the rain couldn't pass through, the cold air an chilliness certainly passed "Are you going to ignore me now?" He questioned as she payed him no attention to him "Enchessa" Loki groaned as the cabin light came into his view.
Pushing open the door he walked over to the fire place and lit it up before placing her gently on the cotton floor cushion as he stood back up to go and grab a blanket to wrap around her so she could warm up as her skin was pale while her fingertips and nose were tinted a warm scarlet. "Please, Enchessa don't ignore me" he pleaded, she didn't even spare him a second glance "Please" he sighed softly as he stared at her blank face.
He had to work for her forgiveness.
And that wasn't going to be easy.

She woke up the next morning in the bed that she didn't remember getting into "Loki?" She mumbled while getting up, noticing the nightgown she was so suddenly wearing. Taking her first morning steps she made her slow way to the kitchen, feeling the slightest bit hungry as she didn't get to eat right the night before.
Her eyes followed the floor before looking up to see Loki seated in front of the fire place on a couch with a book in his hands. He looked up to see Enchessa standing there, eyes awkwardly avoiding his "You can continue to ignore me if you wish" he looked back to his book, feeling an ounce of sadness inside him as he didn't want her to witness.
Continuing to make breakfast she looked over to him occasionally as she felt bad, but a part of her reminded herself about what he did and until he apologized or made an effort to ask for forgiveness she would ignore him completely. He had to work for it before she could happily jump back into his arms.
Having seated herself on the opposite side of him, across the living room, she slowly at her breakfast while eyes remained on the floor, trying not to look up into the soft green eyes of his "Did I do something wrong?" Her eyes widened at his questioned as a small scoff fell from her lips as he heard it "What did I do?" She shook her head and continued to eat.
'He can't even figure out what he did'.
She mumbled incoherent words even he couldn't understand a single sentence "Love, what did I do? Tell me so I can fix the mistake I made" he stood up and kneeled down in front of her as her eyes were fixed on her lap "Love" Loki sighed as he reached out to hold her hands, which she slowly pulled away from his grip "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to leave you out there if that's why you're angry with me" He held her hands again, and this time she didn't pull them away "And you yelled at me" she hated being yelled at, she never expected for him to do that "I didn't mean to" he cooed while sitting next to her that time.
"Love, can you forgive me" even though she told herself that she wasn't going to forgive him this easily, it was quite difficult to say 'no' to Loki, he had his sneaky guilt act on and she was buying it the entire time "Yes" she mumbled as he smiled, pulling her into him in warm hug "I won't ever yell at you again, and if I do, feel free to ignore me as much as you like" she smiled and agreed with him, wrapping her own arms around him.

After enjoying each others company for the rest of the morning, Loki decided it well for the both of them if they stayed inside for the rest of the day so they could enjoy each others company. "Are you alright, Love?" Loki asked softly as he gently caressed her cheek with the back of his hand "Mh" she replied as he chuckled.
Leaning into him as they both lied down in front of the fire on the floor, she pushed herself up so her head was resting in the crook of his neck on her side as he couldn't help but smile as his own arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her inevitably closer as she loved his strange icy tipped warmth "Loki?" "Yes" he murmured as he pushed away loose strands of hair away from her face.
She closed her eyes as a her lungs breathed in his scent, a crisp mint with a small hint of fresh pine "I love you" she mumbled as his eyes widened before his smile grew by a million "I-..." he couldn't find the words as his Adams apple bobbed up and down as he suddenly felt nervous "I love you too" he quickly let out. She couldn't understand a single thing he said as she sat up with scrunched up brows.
"What?" She asked worriedly, was she too quick to say that, did he not love her like she did? Did he not feel the same "I do feel the same about you, darling" he smiled as he looked into her thoughts "Then why-" "I love you" He cut her off with a smile as she blushed with a wide grin.
"Really?" She threw herself at him as he pulled her onto his lap "Yes really" he laughed, his real laugh, the one he only used when he was just a little boy when he never knew of his true heritage, when Frigga was the only one who knew how to make him smile.
"Do you really?!" She laughed as she still couldn't believe what he just said "Say it one more time, please" she begged with soft doe eyes as he couldn't help but stare into "I love you" he murmured with a kiss to her forehead.
Wrapping her arms tighter around him he continued to tickle her and pepper her cheeks with kisses "Loki!" She squealed "Stop!" But he wasn't going to stop anytime soon as he was having too much fun "Never" he he spoke slowly with a chuckle as she laid on his lap.
After a short time of her tears, they both just sat there again as they were reading the many books they had brought with them or Loki just magicked up "Loki?" "Yes" he asked as his eyes slowly looked up to her, only to see her eyes trained on the book in her hand "Are frost giants really as cold as they say. Like, is your skin that cold?" She asked curiously as she looked up at him with her head to the side "I rather not-" "Oh please Loki, Please" she looked at him with soft doe eyes as he couldn't help but crack under the pressure "Just this once..." "Thank you" she jumped at him with her arms firmly around his neck, pulling him closer.
The both of them stood up as he had his by his side, eyes to the floor as he concentrated on his bluey-ice form, the form he quite often hated...as it showed nothing but fear to the eyes of others as they saw nothing but a hideous monster who only ever wanted someone to love and cherish. "Are you ready?" He asked softly as she nodded her head slowly, gesturing him with her smile as she wanted him to continue.
After a minute or two his skin faded into a light pastel blue that had darker areas with beautiful white spiral designs on his forearms and face, his eyes a marvelous shade of red as couldn't help but admire him, loving him in almost every way, shape and form from the top of his head all the way down to his fingertips. She loved him, and that was never going to change.
"You'll always be beautiful to me, Loki...that's never going to change" she whispered softly as she placed both her hands on his cheeks, not feeling any pain as he backed away from her touch "Don't!" He warned as he took careful steps back from fear "I'm not here to judge you Loki, I'm here because I love you" she walked back up to him and held his hands in hers.
Gently and slowly pulling him into a hug she placed her chin on his shoulder as her arms snaked around his neck, essentially pulling closer as he needed her comfort "But...I'm just a-" "You're just you Loki. So don't let anyone tell you otherwise, don't listen to their jealous lies and malicious gossip they spread of you...just be you, be you and prove them wrong" she said into his ear as his arms held her tightly by her waist, pulling her closer into the warm embrace he was yearning for.
"Oh Loki..." she whispered with closed eyes as he stood up to his full height, pulling her up with him as she was on her toes compared to his limit of reach "Why do you do this" "Because I love you" she mumbled as her hand dragged down the side of his face before falling flat onto his cheek "But why" "Because I do" she cut him off as they both sank to their knees.
Resting his head on her shoulder she continued to stroke his hair as her eyes closed, "Enchessa" he whispered as a shiver ran up her spine at speeds she knew not were possible.
[A/N: A little cliffhanger I suppose, but trust me when I say the next few chapters will be exciting;)
