Chapter 22

---

The cabin was cleaned from top to bottom, spotless with a new set of furniture that Loki himself had created with the form of his magic. He obviously somehow convinced his princess to help him...even though she would rather do other things she reluctantly agreed "Loki" she groaned while flopping herself onto the couch, in need of rest as it had past midnight by then as he claimed that he wasn't finished with his work.

"Hang on darling, almost done" he murmured as he had finished the last spell as the house was fully complete with ever inch including some sort of gold or green and some small specs of black in separate accents "How much longer" she was starving, and when she was hungry...hell was bound to be close by.

"Loki, I'm hungry" she pouted while staring at the wooden flooring "I know, darling, so am I but just be patient for a minute longer, could you do that for me?" "I guess" she rolled onto her back as her grey eyes scanned the gold and royal green floral patterns on the ceiling. She guessed that Loki was some sort of arteest, having known all these designs, patterns, and having the mind of a creative being.

She eventually got up as Loki was seated on the floor, many books in his hands and around him as he practiced many spells in his spare time. Having decided to attempt to make dinner by herself she walked over to the kitchen in hopes to create something along the lines of edible "What to make, what to make?" She mumbled to herself while grey eyes wandered through many cupboards.

Her eyes settled on the idea of chicken, or something like that as her magic pulled all sorts of ingredients out of the drawers and cabinets. Getting down to cooking, she was surprised at what had come out from all the vegetables and meats she had put in "Darling? What smells good?" Loki wandered himself into the kitchen as she heard his boots clacking against the wood of the flooring "Something, and since you were too busy with your spells I brought it upon myself to make us something to eat" she sassed with an amused smile as the spoon remained in her hand and pointed it at the prince "Really?" He asked sarcastically as he walked up behind her.

Placing a small kiss to her head he hugged her from behind, enjoying his soon-to-be-wife as she continued to do everything she was doing as she wasn't bothered by the fact that he was clinging onto her while she cooked "You don't mind me here, do you?" He questioned as he felt the vibrations of her laughter through his chest "No, why would you ever say that" she chuckled while her eyes closed as her body leaned into him finding comfort in his warm embrace.

And no, he wasn't as cold as people claimed him to be, and just because he was frost giant didn't mean his skin was always cold or ice-like. He was still a man, a living being like an Asgardian. "You know, you are quite warm for someone who is a frost giant" he froze, he never told her that he was what he was "How did you-how do you-" "Your mother, and plus I can see right through you" she chuckled as she held his arms around herself tighter "You-...you're not afraid?" She laughed while turning herself around "Me? Afraid of you?".

She was shocked at his answer, but laughed it off anyway as she hugged him again "I would never be afraid of you, never leave you for anything and definitely never judge you on your heritage, you are who you are Loki and no one can change that" she murmured into his shoulder as he sighed in relief. Somehow feeling a sense of reassurance as he pulled her closer, in need for more comfort as he felt at peace when he was with her, he felt calm, he felt like himself...

He felt...Happy

---

Running on his horse, he chuckled as she raced behind him "You're going to lose!" She shouted while moving in front of him "W-what?!" He asked in disbelief as she just paced him, beating him in his own race that he never lost when he was a child "New times Loki, learn to grow up" she smirked at his unamused reaction "No" he deadpanned while he trotted beside her on his horse "You see, Aljana, never trust a women" she gasped at his accusation "No, Aljana, never trust a God" she huffed while turning around her horse as she picked up her speed and ran "Enchessa!" Loki laughed as he ran to catch up with her.

He ran and ran yet she was nowhere to be found "Enchessa?" He questioned as he pulled himself to a halt. "Enchessa?!" He yelled once again as he was panicking now, where would could she have gone, was she in trouble?

She on the other hand, she was hiding behind a tree as she told her horse to lay down in a bush so her creamy tan fur wouldn't be seen "Loki" she taunted as her voice echoed through the thick trees "Enchessa?" He turned himself around on his horse as he was beyond confused, then he caught on to what she was doing "You want to play? Enchessa" she laughed as she hung in the tree, sitting down on one of the big branches a small degree upright.

She jumped onto his back at the right moment to surprise him with a laugh...but it only caused Aljana to freak out and jump around as the two struggled to hold on "Aljana" Loki growled as he tried to get his stressed horse under control. But before he could do anything his horse threw the both of them off as he ran off "Aljana" Enchessa cooed as he ran off, a frown forming on her face "Loki- "Look what you did!" He snapped as she jumped back from fright, immediately backing away as she stood up "Now I have to find him" he grumbled as he began to walk off "I can help-" "NO!" The pace he turned around caused her to flinch as she backed away some more "I'll be blaming you if anything happens to my horse, so just do something good and do what you're told" her eyes watered at his words.

He didn't even take a second glance as he walked off, leaving her there in the middle of the woods she knew nothing about. So instead of following him and causing more trouble, she sat down on the edge of a tree, letting out a short huff of air as she leaned back against the tough bark.

Hours passed as it felt like days, did he find Aljana, was he okay? Was...Loki okay? She sat there feeling guilty for everything that just happened, if she wasn't so rude the other day maybe none of this would've of happened "Oh perfect timing" she mumbled as her powers were out as her time of the month had arrived "Why now?" She whimpered as it was dark outside, the moon being her only source of light as twigs snapped around her "Loki" she cried as she was scared, and yes, she was scared...without her magic she was vulnerable.

She jumped up when she heard footsteps getting closer to her, pushing herself forward she started to run "Loki" she cried as she was beyond 'afraid'...it couldn't even describe how she felt. Her feet carried her to where she assumed to be the cabin, but she doubted it as she couldn't see a single thing and she had no idea where anything or anyone was "Help me, Loki" she whimpered as she hid behind a large tree, her heart pounding in her chest as she was choking for air.

Leaning against the bark she whimpered as lightning bolts thundered in the sky above her "Where are you" she wiped her tears away as it started to rain, the water poring down on her as it soaked her clothes and her hair, making it darker than actually seemed to be. Sinking down to the floor she brought her knees to her chest as she prayed that Loki would find her as soon as possible "Please" more tears fell down her face as they were carried away by the rain heavily poring above.

She saw light up ahead and thought it was Loki...

But it wasn't.

---

"Loki?" She cautiously walked up to him as he had his back to her "Loki?" She repeated while walking around him to face his front rather than his back "Lo-" the man grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to him "What luck" he smirked as he began to drag her along with him "Let me go" where did all her training end up, she was the most skilled fighter and here she was, letting a man pull her away.

He placed his overly large hand over her mouth so she wouldn't be able to scream for any help "Walked right into the trap princess" he chuckled lowly as she was struggling against him. After about a minute she bit his hand, earning herself a dangerous growl from the man as she ran off "No trap can hold me" she laughed as she ran as fast as her legs could carry her.

She hid behind a tree as her heart was racing in her chest, so loud that she could hear it beating in her ears. Thump...thump. She cried out a scream as the man had caught up to her and latched onto her arm "You can't escape it princess, it's destiny" "Let her go" she looked up and never felt so much relief than her entire lifetime "Loki" she whispered as the man had pulled her close with magic now glowing around her neck "One movement prince, just one" the man smirked as Enchessa swallowed the nervous amount of saliva that had built up in her mouth "What is it that you truly want, remember, you can't lie to me" Loki squinted slightly as he tiled his head to side, eyeing the man carefully for any sudden movements he was trying to avoid.

"And why should I tell you?" The man asked as he tightened his grip on her throat through his magic "Lo-ki" she choked as her airways were closing together "Because I can help" Loki pleaded with one hand out in front of him, telling the man to stop as the other was placed over his heart, dreading the thought of what might happen next.

"How might you help me prince" the man sneered as his magic was tightening "I'll give you gold, as much as you desire, just...stop" he argued "How much?" "As much as you wish" he bargained as he took a few careful steps towards them "Watch it Laufeyson!" The man snapped as he noticed Loki taking a few steps forward "Take it" Loki whispered softly as he magicked up some gold "However more you need just tell me" he hesitated before letting his magic fade, taking a few steps of his own forward.

When Loki planned, he planned. Nothing or no one would be out of place, they would all have one job to do that he gives them, they must precise their tactics to finish the job they started, they must do everything with every little detail taken into account, he won't have mercy if they mess up just one little thing that would be considered a mistake...he would kill them without hesitation.

Once the man began to touch and feel the gold as he began to count them Loki thought it was time as the gold melted in an instant into a gold serpent, wrapping itself up in the man as it was choking him to death "Loki" Enchessa cried as he ran towards her, wrapping her up in his arms as she was shaking from both cold and fear "I'm sorry" he mumbled as they held onto each other for dear life as they couldn't believe what just happened as they took their love and lives for granted, having the fear of losing one another only brought them closer together

"I'm sorry".
