Chapter 14

"Loki's horse"

She continued stroking it's mane as she stared at the plague with the name on it, Aljana "brave and strong" she mumbled as her finger tips grazed over the inscribed letters "empowered with ever-lasting energy" she turned around and almost as if her heart bursted out of her chest, she saw Loki, he was standing there with a smirk "are you alright" she watched as the boy walked right through him "y-yes, I'm fine" she watched as the figure disappear as he turned to walk away.

Once her heart seemed to calm down she turned back to the horse that wouldn't stop rubbing it's head against her's "can you get him ready for me" she didn't need to ask him as the boy was already scrambling around the stables looking for certain things "what are you looking for?" "His saddle" "isn't it here?" "Prince Loki has been in the prisons for a long time, therefore he had no use to ride poor Aljana here" he looked over at the restless horse "oh" she turned around and stroked the soft mane of the horse as it let out soft neigh as it nuzzled its head into the crook of her neck.

She wondered how this horse was mistreated as dangerous, it was nothing but a sweet and gentle creature "beautiful Aljana" she whispered so that only the horse could hear.

The boy had strapped on the saddle and slightly tightened the reins on the bridle "um, I never got your name" the boy looked so shy "Enchessa" the boy looked up and immediately regretted it "I'm so sorry, forgive me, princess" "it's fine, but whats yours" she genuinely wanted to know "Torrad, is my name your highness" "call me Enchessa, we were getting along so well before" "we musn't speak to royals in such manner here in Asgard" "it doesn't matter for me, nor should it for you" she smiled to Torrad.

Pulling her dress up to her knees, she stepped on the stirrup and lifted her right leg and swung it over to the other side as her hands gripped the reins "thank you Torrad" she waved her hand and he waved back, but she used magic, he didn't. She made sure that his family was taken care of, money problems, food and other necessities she thought was important "thank me later!" She yelled as she kicked off on the stallion as they made their way to the bifrost.

~~~~~~~~
When she made it to the rainbow bridge she looked down to the see the water rushing towards the edge as it flowed into the endless, starry void underneath Asgard "come on" she gently tapped the heels of her shoe against the side of Aljana as he began to speed up once again. She stared forward as the wind blew past her shoulders, lifting her raven hair, allowing it to pass through as she felt herself become alive again. The things that she used to do when she was a tad younger, when she was more herself than a royal, when she was able to do whatever she wanted...now she couldn't.
The bifrost dome came into view as the horse picked up it's pace at an alarming rate, almost causing her to fall back off of the horse. She chuckled at the amazing metabolism and strength the wonderful horse called Aljana has "you're so fast" she laughed as she clutched onto the reins tighter than she did "faster" she whispered as the wind was whipping her hair in front of her face and into her eyes as her arms wrapped around the horses neck as she nuzzled her face into Aljana's soft coat, because she probably won't see him...or Loki again.
When she arrived at the bifrost the horse gently trotted against the golden floor as he slowly came to a stop just a few feet away from Heimdal who was atop of the stairs.
"Hello, princess" he smiled as his hands held the sword that was buried deep within the lock "Heimdal? Wasn't it" she smiled lightly "it is, my princess" he nodded his head in a sign of respect "I wish-" "I know why you are you here, remember, I can see Every-thing" she looked at him and wondered if he saw her going down to the dungeons to see Loki 'Under fair circumstances though'  "h-have you seen me going down to...Loki's cell?" She looked at him while waiting for her answer with nervous eyes "I have" "have you told the king?" "No, he has given me no reason to tell him, he hasn't asked me, and if he did I must tell the king, it is my sworn duty to protect the crown" "thank you" "you need not thank me, for I have done nothing to aid you" "thank you anyway" she shrugged while her hands stroked the the luscious fur of Aljana as he softly nudged he side with his head. "He has taken quite a liking to you" "he has" she smiled "he only acted this way to prince Loki, whom is in the dungeons below of Asgard, as I'm sure you know" "yes, I know" she smiled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She sat on the bottom step as the horse was lying down next to her with his head resting on her lap "do you want me to take to you Vanaheim?" "I want to say yes and be gone forever, but I want to stay, something about this place-" "or a certain someone" he interuppted as he stared straight ahead. She didn't know what to say, at all, maybe because he was right, but at the same time he wasn't. She wanted to see Loki out of the dungeons, out of all the pain he was being given. But at the same time she wanted to go home "I don't know, I want to stay, but I want to go home, it's where I belong" she stood on the first step as she looked up at Heimdal who had his eyes trained to the bridge "very well, if that is what you wish" "it is".

She looked back to Asgard, the lights shining bright against the night sky filled with illiuminous stars sparkling within the sky "if-if I called upon you, would you bring me back here?" She wished for his answer to be what she hoped for "I listen to those who call upon me, but if you bring a threat to Asgard with you, the gate will not open to your will" "thank you" she smiled weakly as she looked back at the horse who was standing in front of her while looking down. It bent down on one knee as it's head bowed down, Heimdal saw this, however, he doesn't tell anyone a thing unless asked of it, this situation no different.

"I won't be coming back, for some time" she gave one look back at the city of gold, she wished she was here under better circumstances.

"Call to me, and the gate will open" he turned his sword and the bright light surrounded her as she felt her feet lift of the ground as she was sucked into another world of rainbow lights, that swirled around her. Her feet touched the soft floor of...Gold?

She looked at her surroundings and saw Heimdal, then her vision saw the multiple guards were surrounding her "Heimdal, what-what happened?" "My apologies, princess" the guards walked over to her with there weapons armed "what do you think your doing" she snarled as they pointed there spears at her "I am princess of Vanaheim, you shall respect me, kneel before me" she hissed as she blocked their attacks with a fire shield as she threw small blasts of fire at them "Enchessa!" She knew that voice to well "what do you think you're doing!" The voice hissed "what-what I think I'm doing, these guards are pointing their weapons at me" "they have reason to, you were reported to be seen escaping the castle" "I was-I was not-I wasn't" she stammered as she tried to find an excuse "for the time being, you will spend it in the dungeons".

"WHAT!?"

[A/N: Sort of boring, but a filler at the same time, hope you enjoy it nonetheless and don't forget to comment what you think, don't be a ghost reader I like to see what you guys think about this book so far. And just to say, we are so far from finishing it, I don't even want it to finish, but alas, everything comes to an end...and I'll shut up now.]
