Chapter 1

4 years old

"Father" She shouted running up to him from behind, hugging his leg as she clung to him "Enchessa" He said smiling "Why have you come" He asked with a warm and loving smile "Can we go to the armowy" "Enchessa" He said sternly, in a playful manner so he didn't end up upsetting her and earning himself a lecture from his wife "Pwease, you pwomised" She whispered softly a Tears threatened to Prickle out of her baby, grey eyes "Alright" He sighed softly "Come on then" He held out his hand which she gladly took as they began their walk.

"Father-" She swung her wooden sword in his direction as she took a step forward "Your getting good" Complimented her father as she smiled and swung her sword again "I know" She replied with, a smirk  now growing bigger every second "Come on father, I thought you were better than this" She taunted with a sly smile as her father swung his own wooden sword into her direction, 'Gently' "I can assure you, I am" He had sized his smile with hers as they continued there fighting lesson she enjoyed oh so much.

10 years old

"Watch out" Her father warned "I can do this" She shouted angrily at herself and at her father who was only trying to help "I have no doubt you can, just for his safety" She turned her head and looked at the petrified boy standing a short distance away, and her smile softened  while walking towards him "I'm sorry" She over at him, guilt and regret ready to slip out of her eyes as she looked at him, with an apologetic smile "It-it's fine" He stuttered, clearly still scared from her rough actions. She just laughed at her easily scared younger brother.

13 years

"You suck" She said, spinning her body around and slicing the air in front his face with her dagger, careful not to actually cut him "Or your just really competitive, annoying, overly full of herself girl" Her younger brother who preferred to fight with just his favored sword, mocked  sassily as he swung his own weapon "Or your just jealous" She said, her award winning smirk appearing on her pale, snow like skin "Yeah right!" He snapped at her "Yeah, you jealous little-" "Enough!" There father roared causing the both of them, clearly angry with there actions and behaviour.

"You two are siblings, behave as such. Enchessa, come" He had motioned for her to follow him as they walked together down the battle field and away from her overly ignorant and arrogant brother Arkin. "You know what I'm going to tell you" "Yes father" She sighed, knowing what must be done even though she never enjoyed doing it much more than she wished "Go get your daggers, we shall spar" Her head snapped up to him with surprise"Really?" "Really" "Yes!" She screamed running down the halls to her room, grabbing her daggers that hid under her bed, due to her mother who insisted she act more lady like and give up her daggers and that battling or being a warrior was for the men. She didn't listen, always choosing to spar with her father who would happily oblige and do anything for his heir and only daughter he had...

17 years old

"Father you do terribly" She laughed as she was sparring with her father, who was doing horrible at trying to defend himself "I grow old dear daughter" "I know father, but still" She laughed while she swung her foot underneath him, causing him to fall on his behind. But he stood up immediately and swung his own pair of daggers at her, but she easily dodged them, ducking then jumping in the air and doing a backwards handstand, kicking her fathers weapons out of his hand "I have won father, as always"  She laughed loudly while holding her stomach with one hand "So you have" 'so you have' Se mumbled under his breath, careful so she hadn't heard "I love you" She went up and hugged him "I love you more" He mumbled into her black, raven like hair "I think mother loved you the most" She stared up at him, her grey almost clear white eyes stared into his own pair of same, she had gotten them from him "I loved her dearly" His smile faltered, remembering what happened that night, regretting his choice of words before the tragic incident.

19-20 years old

"Leah" She had hugged her best friend tightly "You look beautiful" Leah had whispered into her ear softly "Thank you" Enchessa was wearing her mothers old gown, a beautiful dark green dress with an even darker shade of green for the lace sleeves. The length had reached the floor in all it's glory, the waist area a dark shade that faded out to a lighter colour, almost black in appearance but shone a shiny, metallic green when in the light, the rest of the way down the dress was covered in black lace "You look stunning" Arkin stood in the door way admiring how beautiful she was with their mothers dress "Thank you" she had tears welling up in her eyes "don't cry, you'll ruin the makeup" Leah had shrieked, apparently the makeup was more important in that time.

He had walked up to her and gave a bone crushing hug, full of love and comfort "I miss her" She mumbled "I do as well, now we should get going, your 'coming of age' ball is about to start shortly and father wants to see you" She nodded her head, trying to suppress the tears ready to fall out of her eyes. She walked to the door, Arkin close behind "You stay here" She pushed him back by his shoulders she winked at her best friend "Oh okay" he was completely oblivious to what was about to become of him.

She teleported to her fathers quarters, standing in front of the doors, gently knocking before entering with a 'come in' "Enchessa" He gasped softly, the sight reminded him too much of their mother, bringing tears to his eyes, that he let be. "Father" She rushed to his side, sitting him on the edge of his bed "Y-you look beautiful" He whispered "Just like your mother did when she had her 'coming of age' ceremony" "You were with her?" She asked, surprised at that "Of course, since we were children, we had an arranged marriage, but we fell in love either way, not taking in to notice that we were going to get married anyway. Until we had you, our beautiful first-born and heir to the Vanir throne" She blushed, either from embarrassment, which was highly unlikely the case or from the kind compliments received from her father who she greatly looked up to and saw as a role model.
