When one is well
It's tedious
But unwell
It's frustrating
Unfair

Can't they learn?
Why can't a vein be found
On the first try
Not the 9th
With 8 nurses lined up
For a chance

Not a guinea pig for science
Lab rat for the untrained
People!
We're human beings

Get it right on the first try
It's hard being
Veinless
Uncomfortable
Broken record pinch

Different arms
Legs sometimes
Can people grow new veins?
So that road maps of the old
Disappear and

It'll all be easier
