I have been cruising for many years
Going to various islands
Multiple times even
Since I was a teen

Only the last few vacations
I have noticed that
I have mellowed out
Don't stay up late, dancing

My age
Is showing
I am 34 after all
After dinner, a few shows
And a walk on deck
I go lights out

I still love dancing
But that need to be at a club
Till 3 or 4 am is gone
Amazingly, I am not in the
Slightest bit bored or unhappy

Life changes
And with it
Time
Ideas

I haven't left
All of my craziness behind
Just the late night activities
You won't see me jumping
Into a pool with my clothes on
Ever again

Perhaps because I'm ready to settle down
I'm in nesting mode
Just need a male bird
To help with building
A family
A home
A life intertwined

That too will happen
At its right time
But I am certainly ready for it
Finally
