To finally be a full
Open water diver
Without hoops
Or jumps

Facing one of my greatest phobias
Taking off the mask
Getting water near my nose
Making it through each
And every exercise

Doing dives
I never thought were possible
But I'm a survivor
A warrior
Considering everything else
I've been through
This is small fries

No matter what my body
Flung at me
Anxiety, depression
Memory loss, intense brain fog

Even smacked in the head
With my own tank
By my friend and diving instructor

I am
Following a dream
My dream
Another check mark
Of accomplishments
In my life

And now?
What's next?
The world is at my feet
Yet again
