When two great professors retire
It is truly
An end of an era
Mary and Steve
Aren't just fantastic educators
But people

My MBA years
Were great ones
Most in part to these two
Very special human beings

Steve was my professor
And than later my boss

As I have said many times before
Working for him
As his research assistant
Was great

Presenting in front of him
In class
Was a nightmare
Especially if you had stage fright

Nevertheless I learned a lot from him
And his sense of humor
Plus my group and I did teach him
A thing or two about nail polish

Mary on the other hand
Wasn't just my professor
But she became my mentor and
She became my friend

She was the final catalyst
That had me changing careers
Her faith in me and what I
Was
Am
Capable of

Is why I am on the path I am today
She helped me get the job
With Steve
She was and is the professor
For the study abroad program
In Luxembourg

Mary simply is amazing
And though their retirement is
An end of an era
At Sacred Heart University

'Tis not an end of them as
Heroes for me
