Runners ♡ Glenn
"Glenn and (Y/N), I need you two to go into Atlanta and find supplies. We're running low. Grab as much stuff as you can." Shane, the 'leader' of our small group, appoints us.
I glare at my brother. He knows I have a crush on Glenn and he goes and does this. Glenn nods and then turns and smiles at me. I shyly smile back and then hide behind my long hair .
Shane starts walking away and I jog to catch up. "Bro." I stand in front of him and cross my arms.
"A 'thank you' would be nice." He smirks.
"Bro no." I continue to stand.
"I thought you liked him." He mimics my stance, just without the hip pop, so basically just his arms crossed over his chest.
I roll my eyes at my older brothers teases. "I do but-"
"Like who?" I almost jump out of my skin when a smiling Glenn walks up behind Shane.
"Nobody." Shane and I say in sync.
Glenn looks at us awkwardly then runs in the direction someone was calling him from.
I turn back to my brother. "I do like him, but it's goimg to be awkward just being us two."
Someone calls Shane's name from behind me, back at the RV, and I turn to see Lori waving him over. He looks over my shoulder and let's her know he's coming and then turns back to me. "I'm pretty sure he likes you, (Y/N). It's easy to tell you both like eachother, but won't admit it to one another. Here's your chance." He pats my head like a dog. "You're welcome."
I mumble an insult at him as he walks over to Lori. I don't really like Lori. I mean, Carl's a good kid and him and I are friends since I look after him alot, but Lori needs to take a chill pill. It's like two days after she found out her husband was dead, and she was already hooking up with my brother.
I walk in the direction Glenn ran off to, which was towards the lake. It was a grand lake with crystal blue water and beautiful rocks surrounding it. We somehow had a boat and the two sisters, Amy and Andria, always fished for us. Well, there stood Glenn looking so cute standing in front of the lake, helping Andrea and Amy push the boat onto the water.
I call to him once he's done and let him know that we can leave now. He climbs back up to where I am and we walk back towards the RV.
"I'll go get weapons and the walkie talkies if you gather the packs." He negotiates with me. I nod and walk over to the RV. I go to open the door when someone suddenly shoves it open, hitting me in the face with the metal door.
"Ow." I moan as I rub my nose, it didn't hit me hard enough to do any damage, just enough to make it hurt.
"Oops, sorry (Y/N). Didn't see ya there." Dale apologizes.
"All good." I assure and step from behind the door to face him. "You mind handing me the packs by the table?" I point behind him.
"Sure thing." He goes back towards the RV's small table and lifts the cushions up to the storage underneath them and grabs the two packs out. He hands them to me with a kind smile. Dale reminded me of a grandpa who would take his grandchildren fishing and would build stuff with them. Shane and I never knew what this was like since we grew up with just our military stricken father, so it we were both really gratefull for Dale.
"Thanks Dale." I take the packs from him.
"No problem. But hey, I really think you and Glenn should be together." He says. Did I mention he knows about everyone's relationships?
I laugh. "So I've been told."
He smiles and then continues out the RV. I turn and go to the cars and wait for Glenn to get back.
A couple minutes later I see a familiar maroon hat walking in the distance. I walk to the back of the car and place the supplies in the back seat.
"All ready?" You ask as he tosses you the keys.
"Ready." He replies with the biggest smile you've seen.
The ride to Atlanta was mostly you guys roasting eachother which made the trip go by faster.
We soon are on the outskirts of the city and can only get in by walking in due to the cars and walkers that block the roads.
We make our way to the building with the ladder that can help us jump roof to roof. I've been on three runs into the city so far, that I still find it difficult to jump roof to roof.
We quickly climb the ladder before any of the nearby walkers notice us. Once on the roof, we secure our supplies and stand up.
"Ready?" He turns to me.
"Ready." I smile and get in a runner's stance.
"1,2,3!" He counts off and we take off sprinting towards the edge of the roof, preparing to jump off and roll onto the next roof, just a little higher than the roof we are currently on.
Glenn jumps a little ahead of me and lands perfectly. I go to jump, but my footing is off and I am a little short of the ledge and feel myself falling. I gasp and grab the edge of the building.
"(Y/N)!" Glenn rushes over to you and tries to help pull me up. The walkers crowd under me and try to grab my ankles, but luckily the building is high enough that they can't even graze me.
Glenn helps me get back on the roof and I collapse on the gravely roof and cry into his shirt. He runs his hand through my hair to try and comfort me.
"We can go back if you want to." He offers.
I pick my head up and wipe my eyes. "No, the group needs food and supplies. I'm fine."
Next thing I know strong lips crash into mine and I kiss back in shock.
He pulls back with red cheeks. "I'm sorry." He mumbles. I laugh and then kiss him this time. He looks shocked and then gives a stupid smile. "Let's continue with the run." He stands and takes my hand.
