Maeve~

Standing here with my heart on the bottom of the ocean floor staring out into nothing. Why was I unwanted? why did no one love me? Nothing ever made sense until now... Now that I'm walking towards my end. As I'm standing here feeling the breeze flow through my hair, the bottom of this cliff looks promising but will it end my pain? "Why couldn't I be happy" I whispered out to no one in particular. Only wishing someone would listen.

"Maeve you worthless piece of shit come clean this mess up. God you can't ever do anything right. No wonder your family left you at the doorstep." Ben yelled from across the table.-- I mentally rolled my eyes as if he wasn't an orphan himself.

Ben was how would you say a bit special! He was a bully, the wanna be leader of the people who torment me in this place. I was left in a orphanage when I was born, unwanted and alone. Kids came and went unfortunately no one ever wanted me. Only a year in a half to go and I will be of age to leave this place once and for all.

"But I didn't do it. That was Casandra's fault she bumped into you and it fe---" I was cut off from my words and shoved to the floor. I looked up to see a smirking Casandra.

"Shame on you Maeve, why would you say such lie? I would never! It's all your fault your just to fat."  laughter was all I heard everyone was laughing at me.

"But I..." I tried to speak, but my words got stuck in my throat feeling ashamed I couldn't no longer and ran out the room with my head down and crying.

As I was running I ran into a boy I hardly every see anymore. He was Ben's punching bag but he became better at hiding and it left me open to their assaults. "J-J.." I ran away not wanting to speak. I ran straight into the closet and cried. You see at first I would fight back, argue with them but little by little they broke me down. I started to believe everything they said about me. "Why? Why can't I just die now?" I whispered falling asleep.

"Maeve- Maeve Wake up!" I was being shaken awake by Rosie.

I smiled weakly at her "Hey what are you doing in here ?" worry laced her voice.

"Hey Rosie, what are you doing in here I told you they can't see you in here they will hurt you." I whispered

"You know I'm not scared Maeve I'm stronger then I look" She sarcastically said rolling her eyes.

"Your right I'm sorry for doubting you" I told her. She was like a little sister to me. She reminded me of myself. "So how did you find me?" furrowing my eyebrows.

"I just followed the snores" she giggled. Knowing well where I would be at for sure. "Maeve are you ok? What did they do now." She questioned.

"I- I bumped into Ben making him spill his drink. I'm just to fat and.... and I should lose w-weight!" with tears in my eyes.

She hugged me instantly "Maeve your not fat and you shouldn't listen to them they are big meanies!" She gently spoke to me.

"N-no Rosie they are right! I'm not good enough to be here. Why? Why am I not good enough!" I broke down crying. I couldn't anymore. I sobbed in her shoulder.

"Shh Maeve it's ok." She said while patting my back. After awhile I calmed myself. "So Maeve guess who finally left from here?" She asked

"Who?" suddenly interested. Whoever that may be they were sure lucky!

"Jaime. You know the boy who hides out in the backyard, or stays half the time in his room. Afraid of Ben and his little beanie babies." She spoke with so much hate towards them. I mean who wouldn't hate them?

"Really I ran into him earlier, but I couldn't even speak. I ran off." feeling guilty I didn't even say goodbye.

"Yeah he was looking for you, and asked me which is why I'm here. I knew that they had done something to you for you to disappear. And of course the group heard and made fun of him Maeve. To say they went as far as beat him up just cause he was interested in you." She held so much sadness in her voice.

"W-what?" I asked surprised. I'm sure he was just trying to say goodbye. I only ignored him for the same reason. Every time he wanted to talk I was rude and mean to keep him away. I couldn't let him get hurt because of me.

"Well well well what do we have here?" We were interrupted by no other then...

"Lexi" we said together. We were frozen on the spot until...

She dragged Rosie out first. And her friends came running in and grabbed me from my hair dragging me out. I screamed for help but was instantly soundless my breath got knocked right out of me by a hit to my stomach. Wide eyed and full of tears. I looked up into Max's eyes.

"Shut the fuck up bitch" he spoke with so much hate. Why me though why did I have to pay like this? Groaning I dropped to the floor, sobs escaping my mouth. So much for a holy house.

"Maeve are you o-ok?" A terrified Rosie was all I saw

Suddenly I seen them all circling Rosie. She was innocent and had nothing to do with me. I had to let them know.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" I yelled at them. They all stared back at me in complete shock. A smirk appeared on Casandra's face.

"Let's take a walk shall we?" She commanded her group. They grabbed a hold of Rosie and dragged her out.

"No no no leave her out of this!!! Torture me but not her p-please!" I screamed sounding desperate but I was in fact desperate. Ben came over to me and the next thing I knew I blacked out.
