TWENTY-ONE
A faint buzz made its way through Jeongguk's ears. He groaned softly, his head pounding.
He blinked heavily, rubbing his forehead trying to get rid of the piercing beep in his ears.
His vision was blurry. He tried to sit up, but failed, he fell back down again.
What the fuck happened? Where am I? Where are the other boys?
After laying down for a couple of minutes, he regained consciousness. He stood up carefully, black dots still making their way back to his eyes, but he ignored that by taking deep breaths.
They disappeared.
Scanning his surroundings, he noticed he was in a house.
A house? What-? Where are the others? What happened?
He tried to remember how he got here. The last thing he knows, was collapsing on the ground with something heavy on top of him.
He slowly took a few steps forward, noticing a mirror.
His eyes grew wide, seeing his reflection.
His clothes were torn, not only dirt covered him but dried up blood was all over him, too. His entire face had blood smears all over it. Looking back down at his hand, he saw that it was covered in blood.
What the-
Suddenly, he heard glass breaking. He quickly looked back, seeing one huge window shattering right in front of his eyes, walkers making their way inside looking as terrifying as ever.
Then he heard voices.
Two all to familiar voices.
His heart made jumps in his chest, his breathing staggered.
"M-mom? Dad?!" They were right there.
In front of him.
He took rushed steps, hand reaching out towards theirs, but when he was about to hold onto them, they faded away in thin air.
"Jeongguk my sweet boy! I'm here, can't you see?!"
He turned around once again, seeing his mother standing there with open arms.
He was about to make a run for it, when he saw a walker jump on her out of nowhere.
The next thing he heard, were pure, painful screams.
Things fell from the ceiling and the walls. Portraits, pictures, lightbulps, and before he knew it, red blood started to drip down slowly.
It started with a few drops, but as it continued, so did the pace it dripped down with.
The entirety of the walls were now covered in blood, the floor started shaking.
Jeongguk was hyperventilating by now.
He saw his mother one last time, but now only in walker-form, then she vanished.
His father ran around the corner, and the boy was about to open his mouth to scream after him, but as soon as he attempted he vanished as well.
"H-help me-" He choked out, falling down on the floor.
His head was pounding aggressively now. His hands reached up to grip his hair, nearly tugging it out.
He started screaming as the sounds around him, the chaos, only got worse and worse.
Walkers were now pooling around him, the smell of rotten corpses was absolutely horrific.
The blood from the walls now pooled up on the floor, slowly making its way to were Jeongguk sat.
He tried to back away, but when he did, his back collided with something else.
He hastily looked back, eye to eye with the most mortifying thing he had ever seen in his life.
Two unblinking, dead and bloody eyes stared at him. There was a nearly perfect horizontal line drawn on the beings face, the other half left with nothing but bones.
If that wasn't worse enough, it started producing sounds. The worst, horrorfying sounds ever, left its throat.
Jeongguk screamed, backing away from it as fast as possible. He felt like his blood drained from his face, his heart dropped to his stomach.
He crawled backwards, feeling a sticky, warm, gooey liquid between his fingers. Looking down, he was met with the sight of the blood that had streamed down the walls now had covered the entire floor.
He tried to stand up, but as soon as he stood, he heard a screech coming from above of him.
He looked around before he looked up, but once he did, it was too late.
He collided with the wet floor, something heavy punctured the air right out of his lungs.
He saw boney fingers reaching for his face, yellow, rotten teeth nearing his healthy flesh.
He started to scream, wanting this to stop, whatever it was.
He tried to back away, but he was stuck. He couldn't move. He could only watch.
That's when he felt like he was sinking. He was sinking down, the blood now drowning him.
The heavy being on top of him previously was now nowhere to be found, the only thing that was on his mind was the feeling of pure suffocation.
He tried to stand up, he tried to move, but the more he did, the quicker he sank.
Eventually, he gave up.
He heard his father and mother screaming in the background, all of the sounds now muffled apart from the sound of the liquid that suck him in.
The last thing he saw before crimson red covered his vision, was something standing above of him, a shadow yelling his name.
Pressing his eyes shut, he knew for certain that it was just another walker. The yelling turned into screeches once again.
That was when he disappeared in the red liquid, his vision going from red to pitch black.
"Jeongguk!"
"Jeongguk!"
"Jeongguk!"
"Jeongguk!"
The loudest gasp ever left a specific dark haired male's mouth.
He shot up, his breathing ragged.
What the fuck happened? Where am I? Where are the other boys?
He hastily attempted to look around, his vision too blurry to be able to see anything.
Am I in a house? What-? Where are the others? What happened?
Slowly his vision came back, he blinked, trying to ignore the pounding in his head.
"Jeon-fucking-gguk, I swear to god, I've been calling your name so many times now even the walkers would think I'm fucking possessed!"
Jeongguk's eyes switched to his left side, the image of Yoongi crouched down, staring at him made him take a deep breath.
He used his sleeve to wipe away the sweat on his forehead, his heart palpating. Tears were welled up in his eyes.
"What the hell has happened?!"
